Stopped by Pho & Grill for a casual dinner and honestly, it was the kind of meal that just felt easy and comforting in the best way. The restaurant itself felt clean, spacious, and relaxed, which I always appreciate for a pho spot. Nothing overly trendy or complicated.. just a simple place where you can sit down, slow your day a little, and enjoy a warm bowl of soup. I ordered pho and really liked how light and clean the broth tasted. It didn't feel overly salty or heavy, which made it easy to keep going back for another spoonful. The noodles were soft without being mushy, and the fresh herbs, bean sprouts, lime, and jalapeño on the side helped bring everything together nicely. It had that balanced, comforting quality I usually hope for when ordering pho. The Vietnamese iced coffee was also a nice little highlight for me. Smooth, sweet, and strong enough to feel satisfying without being too much. Overall, this felt like a solid neighborhood spot for a casual Vietnamese meal. It may not be the flashiest place, but it felt warm, unfussy, and genuinely enjoyable.. which honestly goes a long way. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the mood for something simple, fresh, and comforting.

My sister and I came here during the Polar Voetex cold of Jan 2025 seeking a steaming hot bowl of pho to warm out bones! We ordered the XL bowl of combination pho and shrimp spring rolls. The pho was fine, but lacked the complex flavors of typical pho broth and was more med-hot in temp rather than steaming. But in terms of portion, it was more than enough to feed the both of us and have leftovers! The spring roll was good with plenty of dipping sauce. Easy strip mall parking. They do have a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. I didn't see this on their menu, but it's on the bill and receipt.

Look, for me getting this via DoorDash which I hate doing but, I am on vacation and I was cozy... Anyways, it was DoorDash and it is Fort Worth and I am 99% Vietnamese says a test I took but, it hit the spot. It did what I needed it to do. The meats were good. The broth was in a cup. I wish I had a bowl or something since I was in a hotel but, I am basically MacGyver (are you too young to know who that is?) so I made it work. I wish I asked for sriracha. I didn't get any. The sauce for the spring rolls were okay. Again, I needed a hot sauce. This isn't no Michelin Pho 79 but, again, it was good. I ordered a small and it was still a lot.

Looking for a place, for lunch after Church We were in the mood for Vietnamese, so we found this place using Yelp. Not hard to find, and the place was not too crowded. They have this large screen TV in the dining room which you can't ignore unless you have your back to it. To the food. We started with Avocado Spring Rolls. The spring rolls were good but the peanut sauce tasted more like Jiffy peanut butter. Way to sweet for my tastes, so a ding there. I love spring rolls, so if you order them, just skip the peanut sauce is my recommendation. Shrimp fried rice was not so great. We sent it back. They used too much oil, so the dish was weighed down, hence the dish has this overwhelming taste of cooking oil vs the shrimp, rice and veggies. The establishment took the dish back, and did not charge us. The Dark Chicken Pho F12 was ok... At first the broth at first was wonderful but towards the end it was really salty... Seems the broth was made with premade packets vs traditional simmering of chicken to make the stock. I would not recommend this place, while they did take the fried rice back and did not charge us, the rest of the experience, and food was simply not that good.

absolutely love the food and service here. It is a no-nonsense quick place Great for a lunch If you are in a hurry, Waitresses are very attentive trying to take your order and bringing out hot food. My server actually helped me to remember what my favorite dish was so I would not order the wrong thing. The ambience is just a huge restaurant with wooden tables Everywhere and booths, there is usually sports on TV, which is great to watch. I love that they let me do a pour over coffee instead of premixed.

We have ordered pick up from here plenty of times always the same order. Shrimp spring rolls, and chicken pad Thai. Always has been delicious until this past order on Saturday. The Chicken Pad Thai was super bland but spicy. It didn't even look the same as usual. Last 5 times we have had it, it's usually has a reddish/brownish color maybe it's missing a spice. Called them to let them know and they said they could make us another one. We went back and tried it out before we left but it was the same bland dish. Not sure what changed but won't be going back.

I randomly found this place on the way home from a doctor's appointment and decided to give it a try! I was pleasantly surprised and have been back a few times. The noodles were a big enough portion for me and my mom to share. Service was good. They do charge 3% for using a credit card to pay, FYI!

Service was very, very poor. Our waitress took our order, brought our drinks, and never saw her again til it was time to pay out.

Big win for my fellow veg heads too, there are plenty of customizable options which I always appreciate. That said, both my husband's dish and mine felt a little muted. We were chasing that classic Vietnamese fragrance, a little more salt, a little more spice, and ended up doing some DIY with sriracha and extra jalapeños to get there. It definitely wasn't bad by any means, just not quite hitting that craveable level that brings you back the next day.

My husband always orders the spicy filet mignon pho, and it never disappoints. The broth has a nice kick, and the filet mignon is tender and flavorful. I usually like trying something different each visit aside from the spicy pho, and so far I've enjoyed the curry plate with grilled shrimp, sliced grilled pork, Korean BBQ short ribs, shaken beef, and the beef stew. Every dish we've tried has been satisfying, well-seasoned, and generously portioned. The service is always friendly and quick, even when they're busy. The restaurant itself is clean, comfortable, and a nice place to relax for a casual meal.

While the bahn mi isn't exactly traditional, it is still very good -- I'd highly suggest getting it with the pate. The sampler appetizer has a little bit of everything and is great for sharing. Pineapple fried rice was delicious. Pad Thai also great! If you're a spicy eater like me, just go for very spicy. They have 4 spice levels (mild, medium, spicy, very spicy) and this is a reminder to myself to get very spicy next time. Thanks for the delicious meals!

A quick note on seating: the patio is lovely in theory, with the optional open windows and a breezy feel, but the chairs are not winning any comfort awards. Inside booths are the move. Also worth noting, this is Fort Worth, and once the thermometer hits triple digits, the patio conversation ends itself if the windows are open. Plan accordingly. Malai starts every table with steamed sticky rice and an eggplant dip, which is a charming little ritual and a genuinely good one. We also kicked things off with the Edamame, a heads up on the heat level there, and the Fried Imperial Rolls, filled with ground pork and shrimp and served with a sesame soy sauce. Fair warning: these do not photograph well and arrive at the table looking a little shy. Don't be fooled. They're flavorful, subtly spicy, and well worth ordering. For entrees, we tried the Basil Vegetable Fried Rice two ways, one vegan and one with chicken. The vegan version was a genuine surprise, with vegetables cooked just right and a flavor that didn't need the chicken to make its case. The mushrooms, however, had the texture of something you'd find in a hardware store. Chew at your own risk. The Green Curry, meanwhile, was a case of too much of a good thing. The curry was so heavy-handed it drowned everything underneath it. Sometimes restraint is a virtue. Save room for the Banana Pot de Crème. It's creamy, subtly sweet, and a graceful finish to the meal. The service at Malai is enthusiastic, and I do mean enthusiastic. The staff works as a team, all smiles, attentive, always nearby. Occasionally a little too nearby. More than once a plate nearly disappeared before we were done with it. It's a small complaint, and honestly a far better problem than the alternative. They're warm, cheerful, and clearly enjoy what they do, which goes a long way. Portions are generous, so order a few dishes and share the wealth. For a lunch stop between shops, Malai Kitchen punches well above its weight.
