It has been a while since I visited Not Just Icing but on Food Truck Tuesday I decided to pick up a cupcake! This time I went with an Oreo Love cupcake which is a chocolate cake with an oreo buttercream icing topped with a mini oreo! The frosting was BOMB, I wish the cake was a bit more moist but it still tasted great! And, for $3 it is a great deal. FYI, get a rewards card, buy 12 cupcakes and get 1 free.

Wow are you sure you shouldn't be called " not much of anything"? For $3.50 a cupcake I would hope to have at least larger ones than ones my teenage girls make at home for under $5 for a half dozen with all the fancy extras. They should be ashamed" was my husbands exact words. I can't say I disagree. Hope they taste amazing but even so high way robbery for that kind of money. $22. ‍

I've been coming to them for cupcakes since 2016. They are SO DELICIOUS. The cake is moist, the icing is true buttercream, & the service is great. I live 3 hrs away now & I came here today (4/21/18) just for them. I was craving them & I'm glad they were at an event so I could get some. Try them! You won't be disappointed.

Just how I like my cupcakes - decadent and sweet, but not overwhelming to the point that I want to scrape all the icing off. I tried the Strawberry Delight (vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream) and loved the fresh and light flavors. I actually thought the cake could've just been a taddd bit more moist, but I didn't really mind it with all the delicious buttercream and the fresh strawberry on top. Definitely buying more next time to share with friends!

Geez! That was an amazing strawberry cup cake! I'll be back and will leave it at that. Until next time, keep it coming!

Look what came to work today. I needed a sweet treat. With a cupcake and ice cream combo this is delicious. They also have cookie dough and ice cream combo or just try the cupcakes or cookie dough. Look for them at the next Food Truck Rodeo.

Love this place! Tried it at the food truck rodeo! The Cookie Dough was to die for! Brings me back to college and risking it on the tube of Tollhouse. Love the cupcakes too! I'm a big judge of a cupcake based on the buttercream frosting and it was moist, smooth, and delectable! Definitely try this place out

This is my favorite cupcake food truck! Love to get the vanilla with chocolate and cookie dough on top or the peanut butter cookie dough on top! Check out ShaunandShawn YouTube Channel for full review! https://youtu.be/j9HTwq9kCa8

Who doesn't like cupcakes, right? Not Just Icing has good cupcakes. Their strawberry icing is amazing. That said, their cupcakes aren't the star of the show on their truck. The scoops of cookie dough are! The sugar cookie with sprinkles cookie dough has seriously made a blah day 100% better. You can get it in a cone or in a cup. It's eggless dough so you don't have to worry about sickness.

We tried this food truck at the Durham Food Truck Rodeo and thought it was a really cool idea. Didn't get to try any of the cupcakes but the flavors looked very creative. We got a brownie batter and biscoff cookie butter dough and agreed that the brownie batter was quite a bit better than the cookie dough, which wasn't as cookie buttery as I would have liked. Still very yummy though, and very rich.

A wonderful variety with a refreshing menu dedicated to fruit flavors. But these cupcakes left me wanting more... in an I'm-not-satisfied (rather than a gimme-gimme more) kind of way. Perhaps the biggest fault is their size; definitely on the small side, yet priced at $3 a pop. There is a price break if you order a four-pack, and again if you order a dozen. But even with the four-pack discount, they're more expensive than competitors that offer substantially more cake. I ordered the Irish Car Bomb, cookie dough on chocolate, blueberry, and cinnamon swirl. The only true disappointment was the Irish Car Bomb which, for me, did not suggest Baileys in the cake nor Jameson in the icing. It just tasted like dry chocolate cake with a smooth vanilla buttercream. The cookie dough mixture atop the chocolate cake is exactly like cookie dough batter (in other words, delicious!), and added interest to a cupcake that was otherwise identical to the Car Bomb (chocolate cake bottom, vanilla buttercream top). The blueberry was a highlight in that fresh fruit was abundantly detectable in both cake and frosting... not too sweet, this cupcake is like a dressed-up decadent version of a muffin. The cinnamon swirl was my fave of the bunch -- think: cinnamon bun but better. The rich icing smacks of butter, and granular streaks of cinnamon sugar branch through the cake like a tasty central nervous system. The strength of the cakes is the smooth, light frosting -- not gritty, and not sculpturally hard.

Delicious cupcake!

I was thrilled when Not Just Icing was available to make cupcakes for a co-workers birthday party. Unlike other local companies who insist on making one flavor for all of the cupcakes, NJI gave us a wonderful mix of cupcake flavors and icing on our order of two dozen. The cookie dough cupcakes were gone instantly, followed shortly by the raspberry frosted. They even devoured all the Gluten Free cupcakes, which are usually left over for a day or two. Thanks for your delicious cupcakes and excellent service.

The pretzel was soft and warm as always and the filling was perfect. I have tried the mac & cheese, pepperoni, buffalo chicken, crab Rangoon, crab dip, and the Nutella. The pot pie and the Nutella are by far my favorite. If you have not checked this place out you have to do so. Everything is made to order and comes out fresh and hot. The pretzel is always soft and the filling is delicious. Only slight complaint was the cinnamon sugar pretzel. The pretzels by the counter are made earlier and sit out for a while. It was just a little hard and cold. If it was fresh or warmed up it would have been better. Still great but if you're going to eat in shop ask them to heat them up

We ended up finding parallel parking on a side street. Walking in you'll feel like you've been transported to a local, laid back, and casual pretzel shop. There are fun things pretzel themed art pieces throughout the shop. To order you'll walk up to the register and place your order. The pretzels are made to order and your name will be called out once your order is ready. Once you order there are a few tables inside and outside. Once a table opens up I recommend grabbing it as there isn't much seating. For pretzels we ordered a cinnamon pretzel with icing on the side and the cheese & pepperoni pretzel. The cinnamon pretzel was good but I think the salt would have been more enjoyable. For the cheese & pepperoni this pretzel was awesome and we couldn't stop eating it. Definitely check out Crofton's Pretzels if you are looking for a fresh pretzels in the Raleigh area.

Food: 4 Service: 3…read moreAmbiance: 3 Date/Time: 9/28/2025 12:30pm Crowd: full bar, 1/4 full dining room Order: Turkey BLT, Philly sandwich This place is located just behind the gas station on the corner of Lynn and Creedmoor in a little strip mall. The business used to be a food truck only and they moved into this location and used the relatively small place to turn into a sports bar, keeping the "kitchen" parked outside in the food truck since the suite is an end unit. If you're a big sports fan, this place is probably perfect for you. It is set up with the bar to the far left as you enter, with a divider in the middle and then the dining area on the right of the divider....and TVs everywhere you look with signs indicating which game of interest each is tuned to. And, like most sports bars, the noise is set to loud. From the dining area, you can exit out the side to the mostly covered outdoor dining area which is where the food truck is parked, and where you go to place your order (not give it to your server who only brings your drinks) and pay for it. Also where all your condiments and napkins are located. For those of you who are not sports fans, all is not lost as the food is pretty good. Granted it's sports bar oriented but it's really pretty tasty. The turkey BLT is between large slices of toasted and buttered bread with a slightly light serving of turkey. The Philly is on a small hoagie and has some kick to it with all the jalapeños. Standard sandwich orders come with chips but fries are available for an upcharge. Service is, well, again it's a basic sports bar so don't expect sit down restaurant service but the folks are mostly friendly. Bottom line is if you love to sit at a bar, or eat grill food, and watch your favorite team on tv with friends, this place should satisfy you. For those who just want some good grill food, order out or if it's a nice day, sit outside where it's not as noisy.

The ribs were slow-cooked and tender with flavor that went through the meat to the bone. The sweet potato was caramelized and decadent like a dessert. The macaroni and cheese was very cheesy and definitely American (I am Caribbean so I have a different way of our macaroni and cheese). The fried chicken was crispy and crunchy (Remember all crunch will disappear if microwaved but it is still delicious). I will update once I taste the potato salad and collard greens. The cake they give you is a typical add-on so don't get annoyed if you get a sliver. You are so loaded up on carbs from the macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes, breading on the chicken and the small Hawaiian roll that... your cholesterol will thank you for not adding on a hunk of cake. That lemon cake was made correctly though even if it reminded me of a slice of Betty Crocker cake. :) The stars of these dishes are the food! The meat really did taste as if it was refried or the grease was old. Definitely wasn't fresh. The macaroni and cheese was just noodles and cheese, no flavor. The yams were stringy. The turkey collards were the only thing I enjoyed. The "cake" was honestly a mini portion of a store bought pound cake. I felt totally ripped off when I could've dinned in elsewhere for a completely different experience for $30. The staff was very nonchalant when I introduced myself as a first time customer asking for suggestions. There aren't many designated soul food places in Raleigh and I feel like this is totally a missed opportunity and it's unfortunate because I drove almost 30 min each way just for them.

Wow. Just wow. I…read moredidn't intend to buy anything from the Humble Pig when I hit the food truck round-up at Perimeter Park yesterday. The friend I was with just wanted to take a peek at their menu so I walked over with her. She mentioned that she didn't like brisket and I briefly questioned our friendship. What kind of person doesn't like brisket? The guy at the window apparently agreed and offered her a sample. I tried it too and immediately ordered a plate of brisket to take home for dinner. This is the best brisket I have had since I've moved to NC. Possibly the best brisket that I've had ever if I'm telling the truth. I'm a huge brisket snob and this was so good it's got me still fantasizing about it. It was served with a side of coleslaw, which sort of tasted like cabbage with a bit of vinegar. I didn't love the coleslaw, but who cares about coleslaw when you have brisket like that? I'm going to be on the hunt to find that truck again. I need that brisket in my life.
