I come here often and my experience is consistent every time. Staff is always very friendly and the service is good. I'm typically visiting to grab an OG avocado toast or some other breakfast item and definitely a coffee. I tend to go for their seasonal specials which are always a hit. I love all of the Not Just Coffees in Charlotte. They are all a little different when it comes to the atmosphere and the food menu, but the coffee and espresso is consistently great at all of them. This location is connected to green brothers juice! I've only been on Saturdays, but it always seems to draw a crowd. I've had their drip coffee and cappuccino and both were great. As for food, I can't recommend the yogurt bowl enough! Great portion and the granola is amazing. read more

As with every NJC location, I'm a big fan. The vanilla sugar latte (hot or iced) and pour-overs are my goto coffees, but the avacado toast lures me in as well. I also enjoy the seasonal fall spice latte when it's available. Located off Park Road, you'll find this location in a Food Lion shopping center. There's also an Inizio Pizza next door if you find yourself craving coffee and pizza. In addition to the indoor and bar seating, there's also several tables available on their covered patio. This is a smaller location though, so don't be the one to sit and hog the Wi-Fi. Let others migrate in and out for good business. Parking is ample and they are open seven days a week. Order ahead via the Odeko app and your items will be ready to grab from the counter when you arrive. read more

I had this nice coffee shop bookmarked and decided to check it out on a rainy day. They a a BIG latte and that was a winner for me, their food options were good as well, limited, but good. I had the breakfast sandwich with bacon, cheese and egg on a sourdough bread and it was just a good addition to my latte. They also have a sister store, you can access from inside for smoothies and juices. I'll come back for that next time as I do love this neighborhood. The shop wasn't packed as they have a good sitting area both inside and outside, but their crowd seemed to come in and enjoy their drinks while walking. On my way to the weekly food shop, I stopped in to get a caffeine boost. Friendly service with everyone behind the counter wearing masks properly. They've switched to electronic payments only so no cash at this time. Even though cortado is not on the menu, they knew what it is and took my order for one. A few minutes later, the young lady brought it to my table (table service!) and it was perfect. A cortado is half expresso and half steamed (not foamed) milk and it's supposed to be served in a short glass. And that's what I got today. Perfect presentation! The coffee was delicious. Nice and rich, good flavor, with the right amount of milk. It was exactly the hit I needed to start my shopping day! NJC is a quiet spot with seats for sitting and perhaps doing some laptop work. I guess it really just IS coffee... Sad to give this but I think it's a must.. the coffee was good and all but we came because they also had food.. but the employe told us that they don't do food after 2pm, which we didnt argue... but AFTER we ordered we checked the time and it was only 1:59.. we got there and where ready to order by 1:40 ish...because of that we needed a moment to think of a place to eat. But after we order we realized that the employee lied to us and we tried to confront her, she completely ignored us. We wanted to at least get a 'sorry' or something, but we even saw the kitchen working in the back.. completely ruined the whole experience and feel of the place. We ended up going next door for food and had an AMAZING time at the pizza place. 10/10 recommend Inizio Pizza. read more

This is walkable from Freedom Park, about 27 minutes and it is so cute! The building is in brick and there's cute inside and outdoor, covered seating. Highly recommend walking over here or ordering your drink to enjoy at Freedom Park. Not just coffee, indeed! I'm certainly glad we made the trek down to Dilworth from our hotel in Uptown. We had heard from one of our local friends that this place served up excellent Negronis, and boy, was he correct! So good, that my wife and I both had to get two rounds! I also ordered a cortado, which made very little sense during happy hour, but I can't go to a coffee spot and NOT get a coffee drink. I'm glad I did! The cortado was perfectly steamed, and the espresso was nicely-pulled! Oddly enough, chasing a cortado with a Negroni turned out to be amazing. Sounds kind of nasty, but there was a chocolate-covered berry finish that was really pleasant. I would do that again, without question. So, expertly-prepared coffee beverages, and a top-notch cocktails? What else could you want? Well, the space is awesome, too! We had our dog, so we sat out on their small patio, but the inside was also really nice and cozy! To top all of those positives, the staff at this location were awesome! Super friendly and outgoing. When we told the bartender that we heard he made a great Negroni he was up for the challenge, even stopping by to check on them and nerding about gin with us for a few minutes. Really nice people! As we sat outside, watching the sun set and sipping delicious cocktails, my wife and I joked that if we lived in Charlotte, we knew where we'd have to live so we could do this all of the time! read more

This is my first time coming to Not Just Coffee and I was really impressed. I ordered a hot Matcha latte with almond milk (lightly sweetened) and it was one of the best Matcha lattes I've ever had. The place also has a cozy ambience and is not too loud. The only drawback is that seating is a little bit limited so if you want to go there to work (like I did) it's best to come earlier in the day. Heard this place has been off the chain recently and checked it out after some pizza a INIZIO next door. It was super relaxed and I loved all the finishes - industrial modern. What really struck me were the two large "garage" doors that can be opened once the weather stops being stupid cold. This place is definitely going to kill it in the summer. Not much of a coffee "expert" but I also didn't want to be awake the rest of the night, so I opted for the Masala Chai... which was delicious. The tables spin like Disney teacups so just be careful if you are trying to brace yourself on them. I think they are meant to do that so you can adjust the heights. Small and round, they make for great two-person seating, but the large bench that lines the perimeter can make for some tricky seating. My buddy was telling me the last time he went here there were two people sitting next to each other on the bench together (it was super crowded too). Have yet to try their food menu here, but I will definitely be back. The full bar is a nice touch too. read more

This is one of my favorite spots to go to on the weekend. I really like to go because of the amazing coffee. They use Counter Culture coffee bean which I believe is one of the best beans. I tend to get either the caramel ice latte or a hot latte depending on the weather outside or what I am in the mood for. I have brought multiple people here and they all love the coffee. Also, I enjoy getting breakfast here too. I usually get the avocado toast. Yes, I know I am a millennial but I do think theirs is one of the best. It has sun-dried tomatoes and I think they use rosemary oil. The other food like the cinnamon toast is really good. I haven't really had bad food here. read more

My husband and I were in Charlotte visiting for a friend's wedding, and we wanted to find a good local coffee shop. Noticed the great reviews for Not Just Coffee on Yelp, so figured it would be good to try. This place did not disappoint! We ordered two lattes and shared a chocolate chip cookie. Holy vanilla latte, Batman! In all seriousness, I took the kids in on a recent Friday morning for a decaf vanilla latte because, honestly, what kid needs MORE energy? They were delighted not to be subjected to a paper straw because--can we all agree--paper straws are the absolute worst?! The straw provided was a biodegradable something or other but it didn't matter because it didn't become a mouthful of waterlogged, squishy paper 5 minutes into a beverage. They also got an oatmeal cookie (they remarked that it was raisin-free, for all you raisin haters out there). I opted for an iced decaf americano and it was really good. They use counter culture coffee, so it was earthy with the sort of "green" flavor, but not in an unpleasant way. I believe the roast is "Slow Motion." Fitting for us old ladies who drink decaf all day. All the Gen Z kids working the bar were kind snd helpful, cranking out both Odeko and in-person orders at a consistent pace. Friendly, but not fawning. The young lady working the register made some friendly comments to a regular who walked in to order right after us. I love seeing staff and regular clientele interact. Outdoor and indoor seating makes it the perfect spot to meet a friend or enjoy a morning to oneself. I'll probably bring the kids back again soon on one of our customary Friday morning jaunts. We've been friends of NJC for many years and this location feels like the real deal, just smaller. read more

Our first stop on the weekend for the best coffee/tea in South Charlotte. Not Just Coffee is a destination not a stop. They have created a great environment to eat, drink and enjoy your morning. They grind the beans and brew the coffee as ordered. They serve Counter Culture coffee. My go to here is the Dirty Chai made with Almond Milk. Prepared with one shot of espresso is it the perfect blend to create a smooth taste. A must try is one of their homemade cookies, tarts and scones. Always fresh and the selection changes daily. As for food, we highly recommend the Avocado Toast with a poached egg. It's absolutely to die for, make sure you leave on the sun dried tomatoes and purple onions. NJC has other locations, however this is the one we come to weekly and highly recommend. read more

I wish I could give this place 5 stars... came in for a latte and possibly a scone or avocado toast, but was pleasantly surprised that they offered a veg-friendly version of chicken and waffles using oyster mushrooms! The young woman at the counter wasn't sure what I ordered, and had difficulty ringing it up. Add an oat milk latte and my bill was over $20. After throwing in a few dollars for tip, I took my number and had a seat. It was pretty empty for a Saturday morning, and my food came out fairly fast. It was rich and delicious, although a bit salty. The reason for only four stars being with the good being salty, I needed water. The young woman assisting the table next to me brought them waters, but avoided my eye contact. No worries, I go up to the counter, and am overlooked for a few minutes. When the young woman acknowledged me, she seemed annoyed at my request for water, did not ask if I'd like ice, just filled a cup from the tap and handed it to me. I thanked her, and she turned away.
