    Ex-ordinary burger with fries
    Dawn M.

I returned home via flight Friday morning and had several errands to run due to the storms that ripped though the area Thursday. I pretty much stayed down Lakeland Drive for most of the day and had planned to eat at Osaka. While checking to see if a friend in the area had regained power, she mentioned Not just a Burger so I went there instead. It's attached to a gas station but had the feel of a regular restaurant. It appears to be a family owned business as well. I was greeted warmly by the young lady at the counter and she immediately asked if it was my first time. She was helpful in picking what I wanted, which was the ex-ordinary burger combo. This was a huge burger with a fresh beef patty. I truly appreciated it was one of those frozen patties most places use. I asked for no mayo but they also left off the bbq sauce. The burger was good but would have been great if I had gone back up and asked for the bbq sauce. The fries were very good as well. Service and food is worth the visit!

We had a great meal here. The hamburgers were juicy & not dry . I started Carnivore way of eating a week ago . They have a double patty in a lettuce wrap you can order too . It was a nice & clean restaurant with friendly servers . My husband enjoyed his burger too with fries. I took pics of the restaurant inside . Its attached to a gas station next door but its a very clean gas station .

We stopped in looking for a quick bite after shopping. Reviews here were good so we decided to give it a try and we were very pleasantly surprised. From the outside it appears it is attached to gas station but it has own entrance and locally owned. Service was excellent. Took about 7mins to get excellent burgers freshly made. I had the turkey burger which for some reason. One seems to be able to cook without drying them out. This one had grilled mushrooms, onions and pepper jack and it was SOO GOOD. Bun is perfection and fries/baked beans were yummy too. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!!

The catfish and okra were great! I called ahead so they had my order ready with no issues. I would say that that it was a little pricey but overall great meal. Definitely recommend checking it out.

So I'm not trying to knock anyone's hustle or business. But when you have on your menu a fried chicken sandwich. I'm expecting a real chicken breast not a chicken patty that you get from a Tyson bag. For the price I'm paying I'm not expecting it to be this!

The food is made fresh. The burgers are real ground beef. The food is NOT GREASY at all! The fried fish does not have a smell or fishy taste. I'm picky about my fish. The okra is close to mine, so I love it!! Everything I've tried has been cooked to Perfection! The servings are HUGE. You will not be hungry after your meal. The bang bang shrimp is probably one of my favorite dishes on the menu. It has the perfect kick and flavor. The service is second to none.

Hands down definitely has some good burgers. Seen a seafood menu as well. Will be returning again.

Food absolutely amazing. Service was outstanding. And the vibe was cool. We came during the lunch rush but it didn't feel like it because our food came out super fast.

They make a great burger. The food is really good, the service was outstanding even during this whole covid thing. I had their bacon cheese burger with frys. The only thing is that they are a little hard to find in the outlet mall. They are by the Nike' store. They are worth visiting - I kinda wishing I ordered the catfish because it looked really good. The burger was very good.

I called in my order of two bowls of steamed white rice, a half a pound of sausage, and 3 corn on the Cobb. The corn on the Cobb is currently advertised at $3.00 on the website. However the agent informed me that the price has changed and it was now $3.50 and she said this was an incredible amount of anger and attitude. I informed her that the restaurant was suppose to sell at the advertised price but that I would speak to someone about it later and as soon as I said that it sounded like she slammed down the phone. I heard nothing. I ended up calling back and she answered and before I could say anything she said someone else 'would deal with me'. When the other woman came to the phone I started to give my order and I mentioned the advertised price showed $3.00 and she cut me off and said 'no one would be honoring the price on the website'. As I was speaking to her the other female was in the background yelling and insulting me. I could hear her very well. I mentioned to the woman that I could hear her and she cut me off again and told me in so many words she 'didnt have time to address that and for me to continue with the order". I finished my order and she said one of the part owners was inside the restaurant but that the owners 'never spoke with customers' and "he's not going to discount anything for you'. WOW... Talk about being incredibly rude. I like the food here but the way they handled the price being different on the website was just to ignore it and go off on the customer who brought it to their attention.

After a successful purchase and a hemorrhaging from my credit card, we opted to celebrate the occasion with a meal. And Lo and behold Table 100 was just across the street from where we were. Ambiance 4 Stars - as you walk into the establishment, you are transported back where the warm wood interior, cozy white table cloth tables or booths, high end bar drinks, and classy servers in their white or black attire are waiting to serve you. There plenty of tables and booths to seat a plentiful of patrons. And if you need a little bit more private, you can request a private room depending how many are in the party. 4.5 Stars - Service: our server, Andrew was wonderful, professional and has a great sense of humor. We bantered throughout our dinner but the conversation never crossed over to make anyone uncomfortable. He was observant of our needs and when to bring our next course. Our glasses stayed full with our beverage. 4.25 Stars - Food We ordered from the dinner menu instead of lunch due to our timing at 3:00. Let's just call it "Linner". Haha. 4 Stars - Grilled Swordfish- My wife ordered the dish and came with a decent size grilled swordfish fish, sauté spinach, creamed mash potatoes, and a beurre blanc sauce (lemon, butter and dry white wine). The swordfish was thick and moist; not dry at all. The beurre blanc balanced the bland spinach and the seasoned swordfish. The creamed potatoes were creamy, buttery's and not too salty. 3.75 Stars - Pan seared Redfish with cube fried potatoes, sauté green beans, beurre blanc sauce and top w a Chilean tomato salsa. The redfish was moist and tasty but I wish it had a little bit seared on it for a crunchy factor. The cubed potatoes were good but nothing to write about. The fresh sauté green beans could have a bit more garlic butter. 3.5 Stars Side dish: Deep Fried Brussel Sprouts. Hot, steamy and fresh. Has a slight crunch on the exterior leaves and was seasoned w a sprinkle of salt. 3.75 Dessert: Crème Brûlée and coffee. The crème brûlée crust was crunchy and the vanilla egg custard was good and smooth. It would have been better was a scoop of fresh whipped cream to go with the fresh fruit and crunchy layer. 5 Stars - French pressed Italian coffee. The coffee was a highlight of the dessert. It was hot, fresh, and strong. Just like an Italian coffee should be. It was between an espresso and caffe' Americano. Our, server, Andrew did a wonderful job on the coffee! I definitely recommend this place and we will be back. Don't forget to ask for Andrew, if he is available.

You get these magical 73º days in March and April (and maybe even May), fully understanding you are going to have to pay the piper come June, July, and August. But while you have them, you treasure them. The sun shines bright, but with warm welcome, not a glaring intensity. The cool breeze carries the scent of red maples, azaleas, dogwood, redbud, Yoshino Cherry trees, and, sweetest of them all, honeysuckle. The sky is a tropical blue, like you might see sitting on some tropical island with a name you struggle to pronounce. So why would you spend a Saturday afternoon like this inside, when you can sit outside, looking at the backwaters, and enjoying a delicious meal? This is my 4th trip to Backwater. Lunch, brunch, dinner, and now lunch again. So far, they never disappoint. It is early in the crawfish season, so my expectations are not high, but Backwater delivered just the same. Their weight scales are generous and their seasoning is excellent. The shrimp? Well, they are normally my 2nd choice behind crawfish, but these reds are big and succulent and juicy. Some of the best I have had. The beer selection is excellent and served icy cold, which is a good thing, because the potatoes and corn will burn your lips (if you aren't "from here", that is a good thing). But if you don't indulge, no worries...the sweet tea would make your Mama proud. And the ambience? Well, what can I say? Perfect. I can't believe it has taken this long for somebody to make use of the beautiful backwaters of the Reservoir. It is prime "Mississippi" and the owners are genius and clearly willing to put in a massive amount of work and effort to make eating at Backwater Grill a true Mississippi experience. If you are in the area, or even if you have to drive to get here, do yourself a favor: visit Backwater Grill. Next visit, I'm trying trying a burger for sure.

I'd say the ambiance is the biggest seller of this establishment as the outdoor area is relaxing and rife with things to do for outdoor parties or sporting events. Not my scene, but they have a great set up. The food is good albeit pricey. My wrap was close to $16, had no sides, and the drink wasn't included either. The shrimp was cooked well and uniquely, the tortilla was also seasoned. All parts of it were good, but it needed some sort of sauce or something to balance out the saltiness. Overall, it was a Good experience, but not a place I'd visit frequently as it is definitely set up as a tourist-y/bar type place with the activities and the prices that go with it. Would be great for a get together or work event.

Came on a Friday night around 7 and it was busy but we were able to be seated. The chefs kept the food coming out and the servers and helpers made sure your drinks and food was served in a timely manner. Food: 3.75 - 4.25 Stars Appetizer - 3.75 Stars : Fried Green Tomatoes topped Flaky Crab Meat in a light creamy sauce. The creamy sauce was too thin. Needed a roux or cornstarch to slightly thicken it up. There are four small - medium sized green tomatoes as the foundation for the crab meat w kinda' Cajun creamy sauce which gave the tomatoes a sweeter taste. The tomatoes were slightly acidic being "green tomatoes". Definitely needed a little bit of black pepper and salt. The creamy base was okay. Just needed some more seasoning and to be thicker. Entree's: 3.75 Stars - Seafood Pasta. An Angel hair dish served with crawfish, two scallops, four shrimps and crabmeat in a light Cajun seasoning creamy sauce. A healthy portion of the pasta and seafood. HOWEVER, the dish could have been soooo much more tasty. Lightly seasoned with Cajun spices and a hint of garlic. Salt and pepper was definitely needed to enhance the flavor. Dish has the potential to be really good. 4.25 Stars - Grilled Shrimp and Scallops w fried potatoes and sautéed veggies. Both the shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly; tender and soft. You can cut the items with a spoon. Especially the scallops; they were buttery in taste and were wonderfully seared. The seasoned on the shrimp and scallops had enough heat to tell you, "Hey, taste me cuz you will like what I bring"! Only thing missing was some acid and tart from a lemon or lime. None were accompanied with the dish. My wife added a lemon from her water. Server didn't asked or presented any lemons for the dish. Dessert: Tres Leches 4 Stars it was sweet, savory and the sponge cake was light and airy. The whipped cream with the chocolate drizzle and sweetened milk was wonderful. Definitely needed an espresso or cappuccino which they don't serve. Overall: we will be back to taste other menu options. Also, they have Couple Date menu for $35 (Mon-Wed) and a $75 ((Thurs-Saturday) special where the couple will get ONE Appetizer, TWO Entrees and a ONE Dessert to share. I believe that is a Pretty good deal!
