Came in for my birthday and Cam the bartender gave us excellent service. He was very knowledgeable of the menu suggested some things for us to get so we tried a bunch of things. Raw and grilled oysters. crab fingers that I wasn't a big fan of. We also had the fried okra that was good and chicken wings. Bang bang shrimp that I could of went without and a few drinks. Drinks we really good. I had two Jameson and ginger. We came in around lunch time so it was packed. But very clean and the servers were quick with our food and attentive. I order mussels from here me and my elderly grandmother both ate them, and almost all of them were bad, half of them closed completely shut the other half wide open, indicating that the mussels were dead before being cooked giving anyone who ate them food poisoning i have video evidence of the closed ones, i didnt realise the other ones were bad until i researched it, i asked the manager for a refund but she didnt want to give one, and after a frustrated conversation, she said she was going to have me handled and trespassed via her employee, and most of what i ordered was barley in the bag, my bag was filled with dead mussels, so i will be writing a bad review on every website and app this location is posted on to help people avoid it. I dine in all the time here and there is always great service. The hostess and waiters are extremely friendly. Today I decided to get my food delivered to my home and I got all of my food. The part I didn't like was that the delivery driver placed my food in my flower pot 3-5 feet from my front door. Definitely lost some points with me doing that. I even selected the option for them to hand it to me and they dropped it off without ringing my doorbell. I had heard mixed reviews about GCC so I was a little hesitant about going, but decided to give it a try. My sister got the crab legs and shrimp gumbo which she enjoyed. We got 1lb lobster, 1lb crab legs, 1lb shrimp, 1lb green mussels, 1lb baby octopus, 4 corn, and 8 potatoes. We opted for the Juicy special sauce which is all 4 of their house sauces combined. Some lady with an air pod in her ear passed by me three times at the bar even went behind the bar making several drinks still didn't offer a menu to look over. I guess you have to sit in a booth to get service at this place. I will stick to Mr. And Mrs. Crab in Tampa they will at least acknowledge you and offer you a menu to look over while at the bar. i think we came on a really bad/busy day. i was not impressed with the service or the portions. we came here as a party of 6 on a saturday night and we waited for about 20 minutes until our table was ready (which wasn't bad timing at all) the lady who was about to seat us then proceeds to tell us about the 18% gratuity--this was not bad either but i wish we were told ahead of time because MAJORITY of seafood joints i've been to in jackson do not have this. i get most restaurants do, but i was caught by surprise at a seafood joint. not to mention that the manager or host tried to argue with me about how every seafood place does this (which isn't true) just a lot of unnecessary interaction. anyways, after that happened we were seated & it took about 25 minutes for someone to greet our table. we ordered appetizers and started to feel a little better. the hushpuppies, cheese sticks & calamari was all amazing, fresh hot & not overly seasoned. when we ordered our boils though, our orders were completely wrong, like wrong as hell haha. we were missing shrimp, crab legs, mussels and some sausage. there was just a lot going on and i was not pleased. we then had to wait an additional 15 minutes for them to correct the order. we were all so disappointed and it ruined our appetite for the time being. the manager did try to apologize and offer to get us anything we needed, but we should've been comped for our food because there were so many mistakes made. i understand this business is new but i was really upset with my entire experience here. read more

I ordered from this place today and went to pick it up. Got back to my hotel and the gumbo had no rice. I called back to ask them if the gumbo comes with rice and they said "yes but we're out of rice" so now I'm pissed that they even charged me $10 for a half prepared menu item. I drove back to return the gumbo and the owner/manager came from the back to offer me a salad instead of a refund. I said "no". He kept asking if I wanted other side items to avoid the refund. I said "no just a refund please". He finally refunded me then walked off without an apology or anything. Just on this alone, I won't be returning to this place. read more

Bad experience at this establishment. Me and my 2 friends went about 9pm to The Juicy Crab in Flowood on tonight. We were greeted and sat down immediately as there were no other guest. We ordered drinks and food. When my Blue Long Island came I instantly asked my friends to try it and it taste like dawn soap. So I sent it back. Then comes our food. It came in 15 minutes so we were concerned it was rushed. As we confirmed it was rushed. We ordered the #1 which included crab legs, shrimp, mussels, sausage and corn. This bag tasted fishy as if the food was not washed off. The seasoning was greasy and the taste was bland. We asked for a manager they sent Angela Ridgeway. She came to our table and told us we could pay half. I advised her we wasn't paying for any of it because we had only attempt to eat it. Food was 98% still in the bag as my friends only ate a couple of shrimp and me a couple of crab legs. She then proceeded to say she hopes we don't come back and that they made 30k today anyway. I said we won't because as this being my first experience it wasn't a good one, I told her I would be writing a review. She stated if you do a review you get a free pound of shrimp trying to be funny mocking our decision. As we approached the desk to pay for our drinks I asked my friend if she had a name tag on she blurted out her name Angela Ridgeway Martin or something to that effect. She then told me she probably makes more than me so I asked her to let's go bank account to bank account all of this in front of 4 teenagers. I know those teenagers parents would not agree with this incompetent, angry, unprofessional example of a manager being the one who's teaching them their customer service skills.
