Old School Banana Split. The specialty bowl basically has a couple medium-sized scoops of mediocre Blue Bell ice cream with a couple inches of Redi-whip on top with a banana, supported by popsicle sticks. Add sprinkles and chocolate drizzles and the presentation looks fun and is quite a spectacle but the price is far higher than its worth. If you get the "specialty' jar, which is a basic small mason jar, the price jumps another $4 to almost $20 for a sundae. The strawberries and cream cheesecake. Blue Bell Strawberrry cheesecake ice cream with a slice of FROZEN cheesecake and Redi-whip. Do you know what its like to TRY to eat frozen cheesecake with a plastic spoon?? Cost and quality aside, the staff were friendly and we were served quickly when we walked in. It only took a few minutes from order for our sundae's to be delivered. The place is relatively small and seats are close together. Easier to make new friends that way! There is also outdoor seating, if you desire to enjoy your ice cream with room to stretch out a bit. It was an interesting experience but the premium cost vs mediocre quality of the ice cream doesn't add up for me. read more

The concept of this establishment is absolutely adorable. This ice cream shop offers multiple unique and tasty creations. I ordered the birthday cake ice cream bowl, which was absolutely delicious. This bowl came with a cupcake and sprinkles. This place is perfect for A date night or a fun activity with the kiddos. The staff was very nice, but they could potentially use additional help during peak business hours. If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely visit again. read more

I didn't try their shakes, but their ice cream is really great. They have tasty flavors and some of them are really unique. The staff were really helpful. It's in a cute shopping center to be able to walk around with your cone afterward. Definitely recommend getting your sweet treat here. read more

(3/5) We visited The Yard Milkshake Bar and tried a couple of their over-the-top desserts. I had the Brownie Cookie Dough Milkshake, and it was really good , super rich, chocolatey, and definitely enough to share. The toppings were fun, and the presentation was impressive. My kids got the Unicorn-themed ice cream, which looked adorable and colorful, but unfortunately the whipped cream on top had a really strong chemical taste. It was spread over everything, so they didn't end up eating much of it, and I had to scrape it all off. Overall, it's a fun one-time experience great for photos and to say you've tried it but for the price, I felt like the ingredients could've been a little higher quality. Our server was great though very friendly and helpful! Probably wouldn't go back, but glad we gave it a shot. read more

Ice cream was not worth the price. Service was 8/10 and atmosphere is 8.5/10. It just a one time experience in my opinion. It just ice cream in jar and items overflowing it kinda looks a mess depending on what you get. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

I completely forgot to update my review, been back several times in the last few years, and this July weekend was our most recent visit. Omg, I don't know why it took us so long!! Not only was it delicious, but every component in our milkshake was equally good!! The brownie was nice and chewy, the cookie was soft, the cookie dough was amazing! Nothing in that cup that was sub par. Service was awesome too. Definitely go treat yourself. read more

The place is beautifully decorated and clean. The young lady was super sweet & helpful. But I was not enthusiastic about the strawberry shortcake bowl. The whipped cream was not at all good and threw off the whole creation. I will give it a try again. read more

I have always enjoyed the ice cream at The Yard. Yes, it is a little pricey, but I have always felt I got my money's worth until this past Friday. I was debating whether or not to write a review because the ice cream has been awesome in the past, but I was sorely disappointed this time around. I always order the Salted Caramel Cheesecake, and this night was no exception. The last 3 times I have gotten it ti take home, and was happy with what I received when I got home, but not that night. First if all the cheesecake was down in the jar with everything else instead of on top. There was no whipped cream or chocolate drizzle, and once I started eating, there was hardly any ice cream! Also, there has always been chocolate on the insides, but none that night. Like I said, your ice cream treats are pricey, but I've always felt like I got a good product for the money until Friday night. It'll be awhile before I go again, if ever. I even mentioned to the worker that I had received my cheesecake on the side with some whipped cream and chocolate before and she gave me done kind about not being able to prepare it that way because it was "to-go". Huh? That makes no sense. I said to her, "We're paying the same amount but getting less product?" and she shrugged and said "No, it was the same." It was not, I assure you. read more

We finally decided to try the Yard. We really enjoyed the shakes and ice cream we ordered. As I love iced animal cookies, I had to try the special of the month, "Pretty in Pink." Pink marshmallow, animal cookies, whipped cream, sprinkles, and more. Fantastic! My son had a milkshake that featured a full-sized brownie and my wife had ice cream in a cup. Everyone truly enjoyed what we ordered. It was not cheap, but the quality was very high. If you want to have a hand-made sweet treat, try the Yard. read more

Y'all this place is really good! I have a serious sweet tooth but I've been putting off coming here because, you know, usually desserts that look really pretty are nasty lol! Not this place. They're actually really good! I tried the Strawberry Cheesecake Milkshake and now it's my new favorite! The cheesecake on top was good & fresh. The icing on the side with the graham cracker crumbles was addicting. And then the actual milkshake it self was so delicious that I was mad I had to split it with someone else. I probably shouldn't have one to myself (you know, for health reasons) but I just might take that risk. This place is a must if you love sweets! read more

The milkshakes were pretty amazing, they are like the ultimate deserts. The service was quick even though the store was very busy. I like that the milkshakes come in a souvenir jar and there is a sink at the back of the store where you can clean your jar once you're finished eating/drinking. There are a lot of different desserts to choose from, something for everyone. read more

The ice cream and toppings were very basic. Quite literally just Blue Bell with various toppings also purchased at Walmart. The visual theater of the dish was the only exciting part of the entire experience including eating. The service was wonderful. But there was nothing exciting about even seeing the dish being made. The inside felt spacious but there were several obvious signs of maintenance needed around the dining area. Not at all worth the very high prices. read more

The next time you get a sweet tooth and looking for dessert, I suggest trying The Yard. Finally made it here to try out and it's nothing spectacular about it--just your regular old milkshake and ice cream parlor but what gets then people going is the vast array of flavors and toppings you can add. It took me so long to figure out what I wanted but I decided to go with the Cookie Dough Delicious Specialty Bowl with an added waffle (I removed the scoop of cookie dough). I think it's vanilla ice cream with chunks of cookie dough throughout it topped with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle and chocolate chips. It's definitely a sweet treat to enjoy. It can get a little pricey, but I guess that's the whole experience. I want to try the milkshakes so I'll definitely be back. read more

The place was busy for a Saturday night, which is to be expected but the service was a little on the slow side. I ordered the salted caramel cheesecake milkshake.. they do have a lot of flavors to choose from. The shake itself looked mouthwatering but as soon as I started to attempt to eat it I became frustrated. The problem with have it stuffed into a Mason jar is that half the shake will end up wasted or on the floor! and the little flimsy paper plate they give to avoid this is a joke lol. I enjoyed the part I could eat but I doubt I'll order a milkshake again for the reason mentioned above.. that being said.. taking into account the prices.. the chances of visiting again will be few and far in between read more

The ice cream combinations are delicious, but paying $17 per item is a bit much. A family of 3 costs over $50!

First Time: I got the Brownie one amazing! Second Time: I got the unicorn good at the top but the ice cream was at least a strawberry cheesecake, that ice cream was so bad! It had a coffee taste? I don't know not the best.... Don't get unicorn or mermaid it's literally the same thing... read more

My wife and two of our grandkids went today. Here's their report. The girls ordered ice cream but there were bits of other flavors mixed in. Appears they don't rinse between customers. Not such a big deal but wife said the place was nasty AND there was a long hair in one of the grandkids ice cream. They all three threw their ice cream away. I was super stoked about trying this place out because I'd seen all of the cute (but enormous) treats floating around. Walking in, I was definitely overcome with anxious feelings because they have a million and one choices....which isn't easy for someone that found interest in at least 5 combos! I opted for the SMALL birthday cake option and I appreciated that they had smaller options, that still gave the same effect! The small is still A LOT....I halved it with my Mommie. The ice cream was tasty and SWEET. I've had birthday batter ice cream from other establishments before, but this one had small rock candy type bits in it. I wasn't necessarily a fan of that, as I'm used to softer bits in that type of ice cream, but it definitely wasn't enough to disturb my spirit and experience! The cupcake was your typical birthday fave. My nephew got the "Superman" ice cream (calves size) and he loved it - although I think that mostly had to do with the fact that it was colorful and said Superman! Of course it's on the pricey size, but it's worth the money in size, taste, and aesthetic. I think it's a cute date night spot or great for a family day out! I'll definitely be back! read more
