I guess the cupcake will be all right. I bought a cupcake for my friend's birthday, but the guy who's working the register him alone would be the reason that I wouldn't come back. He's to busy on his phone and trying to man explain something. He's literally sitting by the front window on his phone when you walk in, you would think that he's a customer but he actually works there. He doesn't even have a uniform. I keep coming here when I visit MS because I always find myself craving cupcakes. I also keep thinking they'll get better. I don't know when I'll give up and just wait until I get back home to FL. They have a lot of variety and they sure do look pretty. I think that's what always draws me in... the fact they look so.darn.pretty. If only they tasted as good as they look! The icing is sweet... too sweet... it's like eating pure sugar. One single bite of the icing from any of the cupcakes and it's more than enough for me! The cupcakes themselves have always been on the dry side. I've yet to experience one that is moist. Seriously, I can make better cupcakes from a box at home. I'm really not even kidding. I wish the people of MS had another option so they could see what they are missing. In all honesty, I'm really surprised this place has managed to stay open for as long as it has. It was the best cupcake I've ever had. I got chocolate covered strawberry but it was barely any strawberry flavor. That's why I gave 4 stars. It was pink and by the name I'd think you'd get strawberry flavor. The chocolate flavor was great. read more

Gigi's is my go to cupcake shop. I'm a sweet fanatic so the fact that they have a lot of frosting on their cupcakes excite me. Now.. sometimes the cupcakes aren't as fresh and can be on the dry side but I don't think it's to the point where you can't enjoy the cupcake. I say at least give it a try. read more

Seems to have gone down a lot and no new flavors. I'm aware that the location in Madison closed, hopefully Flowood isn't behind it. The products aren't as good as they used to be. I get messages often saying $3.00 has been added to my account because I've not been in so long. Went one day to used the $3.00 for a cupcake and the young lady up front said it couldn't be used and that she couldn't find my account. Showed her the message on my phone + gave her the number yet she still said it was invalid. I had to walk out because it was pointless to go back and forth. I'd only went in there to redeem it because it was free. I personally no longer like it but I'm sure kids would love Gigi's. read more

Attitude means everything! Usually I would say the cupcakes are awesome, but today when I walked in with my daughter and two nieces from Houston, TX, I felt very uneasy. The young male was so rude! He acted like he was bothered by our presence. He made an obvious sigh like he didn't want to wait on us. I have never been treated like this at any business before, because if I had, I would've walked out. Since my niece was anticipating getting a cupcake for her birthday I tried to bare through with the disrespect. I ended up making a purchase for myself as well as for my niece. He continued with the bad attitude while we made the transaction. He did not say thank you. What he did was keep a scowl on his face to remind me he didn't want to serve me. These cupcakes are gorgeous. However, they don't taste as good as they look. When I bit into my cupcake, I was expecting to experience pure cupcake bliss. Instead, I had a mouthful of dry cake that tasted okay. I prefer my cupcakes to be moist and full of flavor. The frosting was too heavy and thick. As a matter of fact, there was way too much of it, yet it still didn't cut down on the dryness of the cake. I always hear how wonderful GiGi's is, even from family. My trip, unfortunately, hasn't convinced me to join the "I love GiGi's club." True story. Once, I bought some cupcake minis from Target to bring for small children; even those Market Pantry store bought cupcakes tasted better than the ones from here. read more

Ok the truth. First trip to this place. The eating area was dirty. The person helping me was not personable. She blurted out if I had a card or something and did not offer one when I said I did not. Now the cupcake. The cake was dry and tasted like it was set out overnight. The frosting was way to sweet. With tax it was $3.54. So not worth it! read more

I was not the biggest fan of Gigi's but they are a nice go to when I want to sate a sweet tooth. The over abundance of frosting is not my favorite. But the cupcakes are tasty and they are really pretty. My four star rating was warranted because of the friendly staff. Their customer service is a welcome motivator for me to give them a positive review and hopefully encourage others to stop by and visit this shop. I ordered cupcakes over the phone but when I arrived the color was not what I requested. They were extremely apologetic and went above and beyond to correct the error. There was not a 'discussion' to waste time between the customer and the employer. They just responded to make the customer pleased with their service and their order.
