Came here on a Friday right after work, it wasn't overly packed but there were plenty of people, both inside and outside. The outside part was nice, but decided to sit inside instead. Ordered the frozen Sangria with Hennessey, then some appetizers & an entree. My first issue we ordered the alcapurias which looked and tasted fine in the first few bites but when I really looked the inside wasn't fully cooked, we mentioned it to the waitress and she happily took them back, and brought us another order which seemed more cooked but again the Masa (dough) on the inside was still raw, so we just didn't eat it. We also had the shrimp pastellilos those were good, for entrée we had the mofongo with carne frita that was pretty good. 2nd issue, theres just 1 bathroom and the bathroom is both for men and women I'm not a fan of that, men aren't to great at aiming when there sober, can you imagine when they're drinking? Aside from those issues I will definately return now that the weather is getting better, and I'll try sitting outside, the music was very good, hip hop Spanish a great mix, also need to give the food another try, they did have a variety of fried finger foods. I've been to Norwind's 3 times already and I'm not impressed by the food. The staff is extremely friendly and very welcoming which i love and the environment is also friendly. It's a bit small but it's cozy and friendly. What keeps me going back to this place is the drinks that they have .... which are on POINT! Definitely recommend people to go for drinks here. read more

I have to try the food, but based on everyone else eating every time I come past for happy hour, it must be good. Very friendly staff with an exceptional outdoor space. On some evenings, there is a DJ present playing some very funky contemporary grooves that has everyone shaking in their seats while they are eating a drinking. I wanted to try the flancocho but I was too full with my meal and appetizer. I would go back again to try something else. Clean bathroom is a must n here you will find that as well. Alcapurias the way your grandma made them tostones that melt in your mouth But what's really impressive to me is the little bartender that goes by the name of Kiki. She runs that bar flawless. Like I've never seen one person run a busy bar a quick an efficient as she does. N trust me when I tell you I've had my share of good bartenders. I walked by this place on my way home and read the great reviews so I decided to check it out on Sunday with my bf. The interior was really colorful and it seemed like they had a nice backyard. We needed to be somewhere by 4:30 pm and got there at 2:30. We were initially greeted with menus by someone who was working behind the bar who quickly took our drink and food orders. With empty glasses now, 45 minutes had gone by and we still didn't get our food. No one checked up on us, so we asked a server walking by, and they told us that they were backed up. By this time, we asked for the food to go, which took another 10 minutes. The cocktail, Eastburg (vodka, pineapple and pomegranate juice), I had was good but definitely not worth $12. We left hungry, frustrated, and disappointed and with a $60 bill, I thought the least they could have done was come over with an apology and comp our drinks. I'm sure the food is good, because everything we saw passing us by looked delicious, but probably won't be giving this place a second chance. My friend and I were starving and decided to stop in for lunch. We probably sat down around 4:40 on a Sunday, we got served our starters at 5:20. When we brought up our concern with our server her response was, "that's just how it is." No apology, no empathy. When we asked for the manager she had the nerve to ask us why. We had to flag the manager down ourselves because she never notified him. He came over, we explained the situation he was the first person to apologize then he said he would go get the food, wrap it to go and take it off the check. Nelly the server came back over after the manager left our table with our receipt and tried to cancel half of our order to which we responded no the manager said we would still get our food wrapped to go but removed off the check. The server tried to argue her point with us. Then the manager came out with our food and rectified the issue. Terrible service, subpar food. Do not recommend this place. read more
