I am writing to formally escalate a highly frustrating experience regarding my recent saw order…read more Not only did the item arrive as a clearly opened/returned box, but it was also shipped with the incorrect bar and chain combination. Because I had a time-sensitive job scheduled for the weekend, I had to personally purchase the correct chain just to make the tool usable. I initially emailed your support team on Saturday, one hour after delivery. Having received no response by Tuesday, I called your customer service line and waited on hold for nearly an hour. When I finally reached a representative, I offered a highly reasonable resolution: I am willing to keep the open-box item and the incorrect bar, and I will return the unused chain if you will simply send me the correct chain. Instead of resolving this straightforward issue, I was told the matter requires an internal "investigation" and that I must wait another 3 to 5 business days for a response. This is entirely unacceptable customer service. Frontline representatives should be empowered to resolve clear shipping errors immediately rather than hiding behind multi-day escalation processes. As a professional, I cannot afford to do business with a company that delays my operations due to its own fulfillment mistakes. I expected a prompt response and a direct resolution to this issue today. This cannot be resolved immediately, I will take my future business exclusively to competitors like Ace Hardware and Home Depot. Sincerely, A first time buyer here. By far, this is the worst experience I have ever had in my life ordering from a tool store. I will stick with Ace Hardware and Home Depot forever now. The customer service representative seemed like he couldn't do anything other than escalate the issue. What are they even there for? How are you guys even in business treating you're customers like this??

Menards - This shows some of the bubbling but not all of the other areas of the sink. I don't use anything strong on the sink to clean it.

Because it cost us our life savings fighting government before they would admit it, I now live in the basement of one of my kids' homes. I needed to replace a small sink in the tiny bathroom in the basement. I'm on a very limited income (the government gives me $1600 a month to live on) I bought a $72 sink at Menards. I paid $100 to get it installed. I noticed it was starting to bubble on the surface and had some other defects which were not immediately detectable when I bought the sink. Menards told me they would exchange it but I told them I would have to pay $100 to uninstall it and then another $100 to reinstall it. The manager offered me $10. So I took it to Menards corporation, asking for even $20 (gift card). they wouldn't do anything. They referred it to the sink manufacturer who told me the same thing. I would have to pay $200 and they would exchange the sink. I asked anyone involved if they could give me any kind of a gift card to help with some of this expense. $200 is a huge deal to me. I never heard back from them. That was months ago and they don't care. I'm nothing to them. If my husband were alive perhaps they would listen to him. It's just been very frustrating. And the buck ultimately stops with Menards since that's where I paid my money.
