My law firm used Kevin to replace a fried keyboard for my ultrabook. The keyboard would just type funky stuff on its own and rendered the laptop unusable. Kevin drove to us the same day we called. He came twice, once for a diagnostic type visit and then again to actually replace the necessary part a few days later. But what pleased us the most was that during the first visit, rather than just take off with my laptop and say he'll return it in 5-7 days (like other repair shops), he actually sat in my office, took apart the laptop and offered a temporary FIX so that I could continue using the laptop while waiting for the new keyboard to be delivered. I was back in business! He detached the cable that connected to the keyboard and this allowed me to use my external keyboard in the mean time. He found a new keyboard online for the cheapest price he could and ordered it right in front of me. When the new part arrived a few days later, he drove back to my office to swap out the old keyboard for the new one. Once again, he sat in my office and did everything right in front of me. Kevin was very courteous and had the respect to try and assist with my business's continuity. Reasonable rates too! Will call again, if need be. read more

Wow Kevin was awesome. My computer keyboard has been acting really weird, some keys not working and it's really frustrating because I use my computer to take notes in classes, work on my thesis project, and when I need to log on to work computers from home. My keyboard problem was basically keeping me from being able to do anything, so I needed it fixed quick and really didn't have time to drop my computer off somewhere for 3 days or send my computer in to the warranty. Anyway, Kevin was very prompt with communicating and answering the phone, and drove to me only a couple hours after calling him, which was amazing. He's really a stand up guy, fun to work with and literally fixed my computer in less than an hour. We had a nice chat while he worked on my keyboard, and before you know it it was solved. Now I can get back to my life. It only costed me $75 for him driving up to me in Denton and fixing my computer the same day. Thank you Kevin!!! I'm saving his number as Kevin The Computer Guy because next time I or my family/friends need a fun, professional, and fast guy to fix a computer, he's the guy I'm calling first. read more

Kevin came out to do a diagnostics by disconnecting everything and seeing if that worked. He determined that my motherboard was bad and ordered a new one. He took my computer with him and a week later (due to shipping of the motherboard), he called and said it wasn't the motherboard. He then told me that it was my CPU chip, which he then proceeded to order. A week after that, he said the computer was fixed. He brought my computer back to me and when he left, I was still having the same issues as when he picked it up two weeks prior. I was having power issues. I strongly believe that when he put the computer back together, he managed to wiggle the power cord enough to make the computer fire up. I ended up going to Best Buy and purchasing a new power supply and the problem was fixed! Kevin charged me to return the motherboard which he mistakenly identified, then he could not produce an invoice for the new CPU, nor would he tell me where he purchased it. He did tell me he would show me an invoice for the CPU for an extra $25 fee, He could not show me the bad chip since he had already disposed of it when I asked for it. I am suspicious of this type of behavior by nature. I would recommend taking your laptop to a different repair shop. read more

I absolutely recommend PC Geeks to anyone who'd like quick, friendly and overall great service!…read more to preface how pleased I am, I'll add context to why anyone in the Frisco area should give PC Geeks your business-- I went to Best Buy initially, (big mistake) to attempt a quick repair on my PC since I wanted to avoid the 39 minute drive to micro center and their wait list as well. I ended up standing in line at Best Buy for over an hour (I had an appointment booked for 12Pm) . . . I was never seen. One of the only 2 Geek Squad employees eventually asked all of us in this growing line-- "Who has an appointment", to which several of us spoke up. I had the earliest appointment time. everyone else was 12:20 and later. Clearly Geek Squad is miserably understaffed, I personally felt bad for the 2 employees having to handle the volume of customers that kept piling in. Shameless company. Regardless of uncontrollable circumstances, having an appointment did not matter at all. It was clear that the employees had no way of checking whose appointment was next or who even had one in the first place. (The Best Buy app is only good for placing orders, otherwise, the vital functions such as drive up pickup etc. are useless.) Both me and one other person were completely ignored when we spoke up about our 12pm and 12:20 appointment times and annoyingly, we were bypassed by a very aggressive couple who came in late, behind everyone and even asked me if I had an appointment (I told them I did indeed, so ignorance is not an excuse for their behavior or the employees). They were allowed to bully past everyone who'd been standing there for that hour, screaming they had an appointment-- we all had appointments but I guess being the loudest and most rude gets you seen first. as that hour trudged on, I noticed a growing stack of electronics that were being signed up to be worked on "Off site", with hold times that were clearly going to take several days to finish, so I assumed I wouldn't have gotten my PC fixed same-day if Id have kept waiting for my "appointment". So at about 1:10, (an hour and 10 minutes after my appointment time) I called it quits, walked out and headed to google. I found PC Geeks right down the road and headed over there Instead, I was eager to avoid a trip to Micro Center. And what a blessing it was to have found them! what would have taken Geek Squad DAYS to finish, PC Geeks handled in barely 2 hours. I dropped off my rig, let the employees on staff know what was wrong (I cleaned my PC which was long overdue and replaced the GPU. BUT, I accidentally plugged one of the PSU prongs in the wrong place on the Motherboard, so it wouldn't turn on at all, I didn't realize it so I was totally stumped on how to proceed getting her back online, my mistake!) -- PC Geeks took control of the situation and got my PC onto their work list immediately. They were professional, knowledgeable, and handled my hardware carefully! I got a call 2 hours after the drop off with the awesome news that the problem was resolved and now I'm back up and running same-day! The value in how quickly they were able to resolve my issue is priceless, they are worth every cent! I'm here to tell any of you with a gaming rig or high end PC, save yourself the trouble of using big labeled companies, the true professionals are right here at PC Geeks! 11/10 from me

My son found this place doing his own research after his computer kept inexplicably crashing mid…read moregame. Though it was over the holidays, they were able to diagnose and repair his PC fairly quickly. You can tell they know their stuff and they gave suggestions for future PC options once our son's entry level gaming PC had run it's course. His PC was optimized by removing unnecessary drives and RAM and adding a new 2TB SSD and reinstalling a new windows. Though we are hopeful that we do not have to return anytime soon, we would definitely recommend PC Geeks.

Where do I begin? Kevin was amazing!!!! I work for the Dallas Morning News and I recently cracked the screen on my new touchscreen HP laptop. Kevin's communication skills are fantastic. Originally he informed me that there may be two different screens he would have to replace but he was going to try his best to fix only the one that needed it, well ends up both screens needed replaced and as soon as Kevin discovered that he was very quick to let me know and he was very quick in getting cost of both while at the same time trying to keep cost as low as possible for me. Kevin picked up my laptop from work, and once he was done he brought it back, YOU CAN'T BEAT THAT! I am so thankful Kevin took his time to perfect my screen and get me back up and running. My computer screen works perfectly fine like it was brand new. I can't thank him enough. I would recommend Kevin to anybody looking for help with your screens and or general computer questions in general. Not only did he fix my laptop, he gave me advice and opinions that I can't pay him for but I can really benefit from. Kevin is currently helping me for the 3rd time over the past two months. I can not speak highly enough about his IT support services. His responsiveness, expertise and friendly personality are truly a role model for other small business owners. On top of that, he prides himself on making house calls, same day response, and charges reasonable prices. So far, Kevin has quickly and effectively provided me assistance with iniital set-up and transfers from my old PC to a new laptop. I recently had a bunch of problems with my computer, including that it wouldn't even start. I was helped by Kevin Clark of North Texas Tech Team via telephone, and once it was running, by remote access and he did SUCH an amazing job!!! He fixed problems I never would have been able to find with the ease, was super knowledgable and got it done FAST!!! I had work deadlines and calling him was the best move. His help saved the day. Amazing service, amazing speed and it required pretty much no computer knowledge from me, he explained everything and it was great. I would recommend him and his company to ANYONE!!! Using remote assistance Kevin was able provide me with much needed help. My "generation" is not as savvy when using technology but i want to express that Kevin was extremely patient, courteous and professional. There were a number of issues i was experiencing. . He came highly recommended by others so I decided to give him a try. Apparently i experienced a virus which he was able to clear up and clean up my laptop. Most importantly, Kevin diagnosed and fixed the issue with my DVD drive at a very reasonable cost, and I can once again enjoy DVDs and CDs. After 2 companies told me it would be better to just buy a new laptop, Kevin was sure all it needed was a new screen (the old one was cracked after being stepped on). Kevin made a home visit to look at the laptop, told me a fair price for labor and parts, and had it fixed with a very quick turnaround.
