    This place is great. Fast, clean, friendly, professional, and efficient. Free and ample parking. And it's the snacks & candy capital of the world! Unfortunately they took days to send the results to my doc - had to call and ask for them to do it. Worse, if you want your images they won't send them to you (or anyone else) - they only provide CD-ROM copies. Wait, what year is this? Even if I wanted to drive to your office to pick up a plastic copy of my data, what am I supposed to do with it? I haven't had a computer with a CD drive in many years. Cmon friends - let's get your IT house in order. Who is your vCIO?

    I called Humana and with my plan these are the flat copayments I am responsible for basic radiological services, they confirmed ultrasounds are included in these services. North Star is listed as a freestanding radiological facility in Humana's database: North Star quoted my estimate incorrectly as I would need to pay a $60 copayment. Per Humana, North Star is a "Freestanding Radiological Facility", with my portion being a $15 copayment. Per Humana, they said it sounded like North Star was quoting me as if they were a "Specialist's Office" (which they are not in the Humana database) with a $60 copayment. When I showed up this morning for my appointment, I tried explaining this to the front desk and they refused to look further into the matter. They were adamant that I could not proceed with having my ultrasound done unless I paid the $60 in full or make a payment plan. I agreed to pay $15 cash, however, the front desk said that I needed to provide a credit card so that North Star could charge the balance. I tried explaining to the front desk that I believe my quote was wrong and that I didn't feel comfortable with keeping my credit card on file for charges that are based on an incorrect quote. I understand that in the end once submitted to insurance it would come back as I overpaid and yall would reimburse me, however, I do not have the excess money to just pay upfront and wait to be reimbursed. When I left North Star I drove directly over to another freestanding facility, Akumin, and they quoted me correctly as my copayment being $15 and I had my ultrasound done. A simple call to my insurance could have confirmed this and North Star wouldn't have had to lose a customer. Now on another note, I plan on filing a report with Medicare against your facility because I imagine my elderly mom coming in and she would just pay the incorrectly quoted amount because she would assume that it was correct and then she would forget to request reimbursement. This is not right and could be taking advantage of people on fixed incomes. I know I am just one customer and I may mean nothing to North Star, but a company's demise starts with just one ignored complaint, then another, then another, then soon the company is closing and they don't know why - don't wonder why - this is why! Do better, be better, ALWAYS PUT THE PATIENT FIRST, if this is done everything else falls into place - patients are happy, employees are happy, and the company is happy and thriving financially.

He never had a complete physical yet and this wd be a great start - so I also wanted one even tho I get annual physicals - I know if Jason Witten is a spokesperson this must be a legit company and it is! We both set up an appt and our 2 heart and Lung scans only cost $99 for two people as a couple. Low and behold after the Scan we both found out things about our health we needed to be alerted to! He had a heart artery blockage and I had a leak in a breast implant . We found out fast and went to our personal physicians after our findings and got taken care of. This is LIFE SAVING -EXACTLY LIKE THEY SAY!' we are so glad we both went. Just go and get yours done -it was easy and fast and the people are caring, knowledgeable, and great. They also have lifetime packages or short term packages that you can take advantage of for savings on future CT Scan costs too. (Normally costs for CT scans are over $1000 -$2000 per area. They are beneficial to those of us who are wanting to stay ahead of their health and preventing major health issues.

The info that I had from the fair was all that I ever received. The price for the CT was pretty fair,but it's obvious that the goal is to get you to upgrade to the more expensive package deals. As others have mentioned, the "health consultant" that you meet with prior to your service is actually a sales person with no healthcare background. Also, you have to request your images as they do not come with the final report. The experience was a little off-putting, but I did get some insight from the heart scan.

I realized I lived closer to richardson location than Dallas, so I called the dallas location where 2 separate doctors had sent orders for 2 separate mri. The dallas people said no problem we confirm both orders have come in and we'll just make it to where you can schedule them at richardson. 2. I call the richardson location they CONFIRM both orders but say there is a problem and they need my doc to send a new fax, so I call my doctor and she sends the order again. I call back and CONFIRM that both MRI are going to be done the same appointment. 3. An hour before my appointment they tell me they're running late and delay my appointment by 30 minutes. 4. When I get there they make me wait 40 minutes AND THEN tell me they only have one order. I tell them that their receptionist had confirmed both orders and the same appointment for both. They do a fake apology of the sorry not sorry sounds like your problem not ours. So I only do the one MRI. The tech was rude and combative and the manager was a spineless mgmt type. 5. To schedule the other one they tell me no location has ever had a second order and that I made a mistake or the doc made a mistake. I call the doctor and they explain with a confirmation number from gateway that the fax had been sent received and confirmed. The receptionist says it was sent to the wrong number which the doctor said to them was given to her by gateway themselves. 6. After I leave they find the order, call me to schedule. They tell me they cant even do that kind of mri in the first place which im pretty sure is a lie because they dont want to see me and acknowledge their mistake given that when I originally scheduled they named both orders and confirmed all the details at that location. 7. They tell me that a survey will follow after they schedule and to stay on the line to give my thoughts and then they immediately just hang up. All around incompetent, lazy, late, and incapable of accountability. As someone with chronic pain and too many doctors this place is more a barrier to health than a credible business. Wasted my time which i dont have enough of and my peace of mind which im trying to get back. Wholly unsatisfactory and the staff should be embarrassed. I will be letting all of my doctors know. Ive never had problems with touchstone and will refuse to go to gateway again. Ridiculous.

    Here's the story, I went in to prime diagnostics. The form my doctor filled out does not have an…read morearea to select elbow, it's Prime's form. So they wrote forearm and bicep. I spoke with the technician prior to the MRI and made sure she was aware that I needed to have it for my lower forearm all the way up to my upper bicep. Because that's where the injury was. She said she would do her best. When I went in to have my MRI read by the orthopedic surgeon, he said the MRI wasn't good and even the report given by Prime states that it does not capture the rupture area "unfortunately, the scan does not cover the distal most insertion". Which is where the rupture occurred. I've been calling and leaving messages at both doctors offices and prime for 2 days trying to get them to re-do the MRi they messed up at no cost to me. i paid cash. Both doctors offices said that they had reached out to prime and not heard back. I spoke with the Prime scheduling department supervisor and the billing supervisor. They kept referring me back to the other departments. I have a short window to complete this surgery but Prime is not providing a good service. I may have to go elsewhere and pay out of pocket again. So frustraing!

I recently had an MRI at NorthStar Diagnostic Imaging , Allen, and I have to say... I was not expecting to leave smiling after voluntarily entering what is essentially a very polite, high-tech tube. But here we are. From the moment I walked in, the staff operated like a well-rehearsed pit crew--efficient, friendly, and reassuring without overdoing it. There's a calm professionalism in the air that makes you feel like you're in very capable hands (and not about to be launched into orbit... probably). And then there's Zahra--the MRI professional who deserves her own spotlight. If there were an Employee of the Month (EOM) hall of fame, she'd already have a reserved parking space. Clear instructions, great energy, and just the right amount of humor to make the whole process smooth and surprisingly pleasant. She turned what could have been a tense experience into something that felt easy and even--dare I say--enjoyable. I only found out after a recent visit and not until after when insurance settled and they wanted the remainder due, I found then the credit was applied. I called them twice to alert and politely complain about them having my $$ for 2 years. No explanation other than it was applied to your bill. Good customer service would have returned my money long ago. I wonder how many others are due money and have no clue. I'll choose others for service going forward.
