Here's the story, I went in to prime diagnostics. The form my doctor filled out does not have an area to select elbow, it's Prime's form. So they wrote forearm and bicep. I spoke with the technician prior to the MRI and made sure she was aware that I needed to have it for my lower forearm all the way up to my upper bicep. Because that's where the injury was. She said she would do her best. When I went in to have my MRI read by the orthopedic surgeon, he said the MRI wasn't good and even the report given by Prime states that it does not capture the rupture area "unfortunately, the scan does not cover the distal most insertion". Which is where the rupture occurred. I've been calling and leaving messages at both doctors offices and prime for 2 days trying to get them to re-do the MRi they messed up at no cost to me. i paid cash. Both doctors offices said that they had reached out to prime and not heard back. I spoke with the Prime scheduling department supervisor and the billing supervisor. They kept referring me back to the other departments. I have a short window to complete this surgery but Prime is not providing a good service. I may have to go elsewhere and pay out of pocket again. Convenient location tucked into a strip mall off of Coit and Campbell Roads in Richardson, TX. Plenty of free parking available near the entrance. The facility is well kept and the waiting area had nice decor. The check-in process involved filling out about a dozen forms, but they kindly provided a pen and a clipboard so that you could do this seated in one of the many lounge chairs. Some of the pages seemed to be missing. When I inquired, the staff happily printed off the one or two lines that got truncated. I imagine most people sign without seeing them. Ask, and they will give them to you. When it was my turn, I was led to the back area where my vitals were checked. Afterwards, I was told to put my belongings in a small locker and then meet in the MRI room. The technician verified that I didn't have any metal on me. He asked me what type of music I liked and gave me a pair of headphones. He asked me to lie in the MRI bed which is about as inviting as a tanning bed. He attempted to place a plastic shield around my shoulder, the area of concern and manipulate my arm and hand. Unfortunately, I was in a lot of pain, so I wasn't able to comply with the placement of my hand/arm, but we worked out a compromise that was less painful. I asked him how long I was expected to hold this pose, and he said, "About 15 minutes, but your lucky because depending on the body part needing evaluation, it could be up to an hour." Thank goodness I only had to stay in this uncomfortable position for 15 minutes. As the bed was automatically moved into the tube capsule, I squeezed my elbows in to make sure I could fit. Music began to play in my headphones based on the type I requested, classical piano. I found it very relaxing. It put me at ease as the machine started to whirl and thump. The technician periodically came on to speak to me. He reminded me that I would need to remain still and not move at all. I was nervous about breathing, but I tried to take slow methodical breaths that would keep me calm and prevent me from moving. The machine was so loud at times, I could barely hear the music, but I tried to focus on the melody of Claire de Lune and relax. It was over in about ten minutes. I was happy to get out of that flat position because of the pain in my arm and shoulder. The technician made me a CD of my imaging. He wasn't able to tell me anything about it because a doctor had to do that, but he said the image came out well and that I could look at it. Not knowing much about my shoulder anatomy, I wasn't able to identify anything from the black and white video images, but thankfully my doctor was. And now I have a bit of data for my medical file that can be referenced in the future as needed. Overall this was a positive experience considering the pain that I was in. I will be going to Prime to get a CT scan tomorrow and I have no anxiety at all about it. Alex made my appointment for 3 p.m. and said the whole process would only take 15 minutes. I asked if there was any paperwork I would need to fill out and he said no. My doctor ordered the CT scan and Alex said I would be done and out of there by 3:15. He said it would not hurt if I came about 10 minutes early. I think my doctor gave them all the info they needed. I will be glad when I am done because it has been and ordeal that started with me coughing up blood. I do not cough blood up anymore to speak of but will be glad none the less to be done so I can get on with enjoying the holidays. read more

Everyone was very friendly & efficient. I took my 81 year-old mom in for an x-ray & it was the best healthcare visit experience we've ever had. I didn't catch the woman's name at the front desk, but she was very kind & friendly. Hector administered her x-ray & was very patient & encouraging with her. I must say Memorial MRI & Diagnostic is one of the best places actually it is the best place that I've ever had an MRI. First , they went above and beyond to verify and remind me of my appointment with phone calls, emails and text messages. Next, the day before my appointment, Lynn (MRI tech) called to remind me and speak with me about the appointment. She went above and beyond to insure that I not only felt comfortable, but that I knew what to expect and the process. She was a-m-a-z-I-n-g! The day of the appointment Dawn (front desk receptionist) insured all of my paper was completed, insured that I understood HIPPA, and insured I received my disk from my MRI. She was professional and answered all of my questions. Also the day of my appointment Andrew (MRI tech) was informative, walked me through the process, and was very professional. The technician agreed to his lunch hour being used to get my husband's test done asap. Within 5 minutes of arriving, the technician was there to get my husband. I needed a brain scan because of a car accident. This office has both "upright" and regular donut hole style MRI machines. The upright machine looked great to me. I showed up and a tech named Andrew explained that the regular machine took slightly better quality pictures. So together we opted to try the regular machine and if I was not comfortable I could move to the upright (open environment). These things REALLY help my experience. 1) There's a helmet that attaches to the headrest. I like seeing how to unlock it. I didn't plan to remove it myself which but wanted to know how. 2) Andrew listened to me when I told him there was too much pressure on my chin (from the helmet). He tried removing a pad under my head which gave me more clearance. That action made it much more comfortable even though my head was now just laying flay on a board. 3) I choose to use padded headphones with their default Chinese restaurant style music. That cut down the machine noise. 4) Andrew added an attachment to my field of vision. Instead of staring at the top of the tube, he gave me a mirror with 2 angles. 1 angle showed my nose and mouth. That helped me see that I was remaining still. 1 angle was showing me the control booth where Andrew was sitting. 5) Andrew himself!! This tech was so professional and EXCELLENT at his job. He listened to my needs. Explained how we could communicate through the headphones and microphone on each phase of the process. You are also given a squeeze ball if you need the procedure to stop. I was very comfortable and just rested the squeeze ball on my chest. 6) Personally, I focused on my breathing. Deep breathing through my nose and out my mouth. Closing my eyes. I guess I moved a little too much once so 1 set of pictures needed to be reshot. On that next run I opened my eyes to watch my face in the mirror (and tried harder not to move). I would say to prep for this, don't drink a bunch of coffee or energy drinks or fill up on fluids before your scan. You want to be relaxed and calm. Use the bathroom before and have a small sip of water if your mouth is dry. Mine was. No metal on your clothing or inside you (although my tooth fillings were ok). It took about 35 minutes. Each stage is 2-3 minutes and there was plenty of back and forth communications if you are doing ok. Thanks Andrew! Highly recommend!! read more

Absolutely No Help when calling about results. Went in for an X-Ray, and called to talk about the results I received, and I was told no one could help me with their findings. I would never go to this establishment again. Having to redo my X-ray just so I can get an explanation of my problem. No customer appreciation. read more

Zero stars. But I had to give them one to post this review. No words on their services. This facility was listed with my insurance plan as a provider for the MRI test I needed. I scheduled an appointment a week in advance, had my doctor send them the test order, got multiple reminders for my appointment, confirmed my appointment over the phone, I showed up for my appointment, filled in all the paperwork, made a payment for my copay, waited for an hour, got called in, instructed to change for the test, got in the lab to be hooked up to the contrast IV and then I was told they made a mistake and they should have never scheduled me for this type of test because they don't have the capabilities to do it. I honestly can't understand how their scheduling service can make this gross error. Unacceptable! I made a complaint with my insurance plan to let them know they should not be listed for the services they scheduled me for. Double and triple check if they provide the test you want them to perform. read more
