Don't bother, just got to touchstone or literally anywhere else. The staff is grossly and negligently incompetent and rude. 1. I realized I lived closer to richardson location than Dallas, so I called the dallas location where 2 separate doctors had sent orders for 2 separate mri. The dallas people said no problem we confirm both orders have come in and we'll just make it to where you can schedule them at richardson. 2. I call the richardson location they CONFIRM both orders but say there is a problem and they need my doc to send a new fax, so I call my doctor and she sends the order again. I call back and CONFIRM that both MRI are going to be done the same appointment. 3. An hour before my appointment they tell me they're running late and delay my appointment by 30 minutes. 4. When I get there they make me wait 40 minutes AND THEN tell me they only have one order. I tell them that their receptionist had confirmed both orders and the same appointment for both. They do a fake apology of the sorry not sorry sounds like your problem not ours. So I only do the one MRI. The tech was rude and combative and the manager was a spineless mgmt type. 5. To schedule the other one they tell me no location has ever had a second order and that I made a mistake or the doc made a mistake. I call the doctor and they explain with a confirmation number from gateway that the fax had been sent received and confirmed. The receptionist says it was sent to the wrong number which the doctor said to them was given to her by gateway themselves. 6. After I leave they find the order, call me to schedule. They tell me they cant even do that kind of mri in the first place which im pretty sure is a lie because they dont want to see me and acknowledge their mistake given that when I originally scheduled they named both orders and confirmed all the details at that location. 7. They tell me that a survey will follow after they schedule and to stay on the line to give my thoughts and then they immediately just hang up. All around incompetent, lazy, late, and incapable of accountability. As someone with chronic pain and too many doctors this place is more a barrier to health than a credible business. Wasted my time which i dont have enough of and my peace of mind which im trying to get back. Wholly unsatisfactory and the staff should be embarrassed. I will be letting all of my doctors know. Ive never had problems with touchstone and will refuse to go to gateway again. Ridiculous. read more

11/7/24: I've been going to this location since 2021. I have always had a good experience during the check in process, while getting Xrays, CT scan or an MRI. Today I was greeted by Evelyn. She was very friendly and made me feel welcome. Bushra was the Xray technician and she was also very friendly and thorough. When given a choice, I prefer this location. It's very convenient, easy access, and plenty of parking. read more

Gateway Diagnostic has a policy in place that if insurance denies an authorization for a STAT (or any imaging) order, for whatever reason, and you choose to go through with the scan, because it is Necessary, you Cannot submit any information to insurance even if you agree to pay full price up front with the intention of trying for a reimbursement through insurance on the back end. They will Not submit anything on your behalf to your insurance company and to be seen you must sign a Self-Pay "Option" form, even though you have no option if you need the test, and the agreement to pay full-price is non-revocable. Be very wary of going through this company as they truly do not have the patient's best interest in mind. It is all about money for them. read more

I'm disappointed to get a letter stating that Gateway Diagnostics was hacked and that my --and many other patients'--medical personal information was obtained. These data included my: Address DOB Health insurance information Medical record # My account # My physician's name Date(s) of service And/or info related to all my radiology services. After this lack of hacking firewalls I'm extremely disappointed, concerned and dissatisfied. Consider this occurrence before doing business with this establishment. I now can only hope and wish my information is not used against me by someone. read more

I just received a call from collections. The office had been sending the invoice to my old address which they never updated when I gave them my new address. A simple phone call would have cleared this up instantly but they couldn't even do that. Went through my entire call log since I visited and confirmed they never called. This could have seriously impacted my life due to your incompetence. Please do better. read more

I have tried to make an appointment three times at this location for x-rays. The first time I was told the x-ray machine was down. The second time I was told there was no technician available. So I made another appointment but was not able to make it and rescheduled. Then I got a call back, which I missed, that said the office was going to be closed. This is on top of the data breach they had that exposed patients records, which resulted in a class action lawsuit. I am done with this company. BILLING DEPARTMENT NIGHTMARE! Do not believe them when they tell you the cost of a procedure. It's a shame that such a nice facility with professional staff have back-office problems that make them a treacherous company to go to for diagnostic imaging. They violated patient / provider trust, and refused to make it right. Instead, they blamed me for having implicit trust in their processes. I was a self-pay patient who disclosed up front that I was paying my bill personally, and I asked for the cash-pay rate. They gave me the CPT codes and cash pay rate for two MRI procedures and Xrays. At the time of the appointment, they overcharged me $243.54. I reminded them I was a self-pay customer and asked if this was considered payment in full. They said "yes". But then they sent me a bill for an additional $708/81. When I called to reconcile this, they agreed to consider my original payment to be payment in full. THEN they sent me another bill for $793.32. When I called again, they had the audacity to tell me it was my fault because I did not sign a self pay customer agreement. I asked them how I was supposed to have knowledge of their internal procedures. They have a major failure of internal procedures, AND I consider this a violation of patient / provider trust. Folks, if we do not all speak up, we will continue to get cheated by a very broken healthcare industry that does not honor up-front price agreements, nor do they follow through on agreed upon resolutions. read more

Unfortunately, it took two visits before my husband's test could be run. Problem may not have been their fault, but they should verify information in advance. Scheduling was super easy. The technician I worked with was friendly and knowledgeable. I was told it would take two days for my doctor to get my results and call me back (sounds like a standard amount of time). My doctor called me less than 24 hours later. Great service from both ends! read more

I was sent to Gateway by my urologist to get a CT scan as I felt I had a kidney stone. I've had a couple stones in the past, so I definitely know what one feels like. After the CT scan, both their radiologist and my urologist said with 100% certainty I did not have a kidney stone. Long story short, an hour after I got home, I passed a 7mm kidney stone and all is well with the world again. Very disappointed in their prognosis. I was told that I could be taken in immediately once I got there since it was hard for me to sit upright and there was also no other people that needed to be seen. I had to wait for a good 10-15 minutes that was the only problem I had. The service and the care that I got from the staff was exceptional though, they were all really nice and the man who helped me take my x-rays was caring and he didn't rush me and i could also see how sorry he felt and how much he was willing to help me to the best of his abilities to help lessen my pain while helping me take my x-rays. Fantastic experience! Comfortable waiting area as well as state of the art equipment designed with comfort in mind. I was scheduled for a CT Scan of my chest at Medical City on a Thursday at 1PM. When I arrived I was told my portion would be $340. I thought that was a little high and checked my Cigna App and found most imaging centers would collect $55 out of pocket. I decided to go the less expensive route. I had been fasting all morning and had already taken off of work so I called Gateway Diagnostic, explained the situation and they got me in that day. They even stayed a few minutes late and had crackers and juice ready after the procedure as I had been fasting all day. Everyone was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Good place to get your X-rays, CT, ultrasound, or MRI requested by your doctor. Provides stress-free and friendly professional service and can probably save you some money. They also provide you with a disk of your test for your personal use in case it's needed by another doctor. Probably the wrong person to ask. On 1st visit, wrong exam started. When I voiced concern to the tech, he agreed based on the diagnosis, but continued based on the order. The center should have stopped & contacted the Dr. For a corrected order. Instead, I had to do that. Once the corrected order arrived, I was told to come back the next day to have the correct test performed. Just received a bill for both tests! Please!!!!! read more

We've only been there twice, but found it very much to our liking age age 71 and 79. I like a separate diagnostic place from a hospital, myself. Easy parking, nice lobby to wait in with coffee and a tv to amuse me. The staff are all polite and kind. Will go there, if we need any imaging in the future. read more
