If it wasn't for her having a meltdown moment and rushing running off to get another person. Because it was too much to look at me as a person. Thankfully I was blessed help from Mr.Jacob professional fast acting delivery resolving. Stephanie has serious color issues communicating with other ethnicities do to her unfortunate Doctrine teachings. Jacob has great expertise was very critical. I am thankful to Mr. Jacob. He deserves praise and everyone else was nice calming kindness with smiles. Then her why... Even with the other staff working with me, Stephanie kept giving me disheartening looks and body language. she basically tried to bait me to get upset in a professional setting then leave on my own. Worst experience that my husband has ever had with a medical center. They wasted his time their very unprofessional. It's obvious they don't know what they're doing. They waited to the day of his appointment to let him know it was canceled, They had my husband sitting around for a week and a 1/2 for nothing when we could've went somewhere else, even after his Doctor sent over his referral and his medical record. The tech refused to do the MRI because he wanted more information. And they couldn't even tell us what information they wanted. So how the hell is somebody supposed to send something that they don't even know what they want. We do not recommend anybody going there. Check your insurance website for other options for MRIs locations before allowing your insurance to schedule you here. They are nice enough and the place is clean but they SEVERELY over charge for services. I called in prior to my appointment and asked for my out of pocket amount from my insurance. I agreed to the amount they told me - it was surprisingly low for Preferred Imaging but I assumed they finally lowered their prices to match other places. A few weeks later I receive a bill for an additional $300. The explanation of benefits stated I owed additional money because preferred imagining charged more than the maximum allowable amount for a MRI. After WEEKS of back and forth with their billing department trying to get them to honor the price they originally stated or match their competitors price they were unwilling to budge at all. Run as fast as you can away from these price gougers. read more

Probably the poorest, most unaccommodating, most sour service I've ever received at a medical facility. The front entry desk is confusing. There are two clerks that both have sliding windows. When I arrived, neither were helping other patients, but neither batted an eye or even looked my way. Unsure of what to do, I just stood there for a while. After about a minute or two of standing there, one of the two said she'd be right with me. When she finally opened her window to help, she was not pleasant or kind in any way, she shoved some papers in my hand and told me to fill them out. While filling out my paperwork, I noticed other patients were having problems. One patient had been waiting hours for a CD of her images. Another patient clearly had been waiting quite some time for their lab, too, and asked numerous times when they would be seen. Another patient was trying to get some questions answered, but the other clerk (not the one who helped me) was just as mean with her. The paperwork had a lot of questions I didn't know the answer to. For example, did I need copies of the scans? I don't know - is my doctor going to receive them if I select no? (FWIW - definitely spend the extra $ and get a CD copy of your scans. I've found it makes me much more comfortable to have my own copies of my medical records). I had arrived 20 minutes ahead of my appointment, assuming I would need to fill in paperwork. But I still waited about 30 minutes past my appointment time to be seen. The lab tech that saw me seemed rushed and inexperienced. She asked me why I was getting a CT scan. I told her that my doctor had requested it after a recent surgery, and I wasn't sure exactly what he was looking for. She seemed frustrated that she would actually have to read my files and had to consult the doctor on staff. I had been instructed to fast and stay away from any drink including water, so I came to the appointment hungry and thirsty and crabby. But then, after reading my files and consulting with the doctor, they said they didn't need to use the dye at all (which requires the fasting). I wasn't given any instruction or expectations on what the scan would be like. Even when you get a shot, a nurse will tell you "this may sting a little". I had no idea how long I would be laying in the machine, so when she asked if I wanted blankets I said yes. As it turned out, the scan only took 2 minutes. After the scan, I had to take some paperwork back to the front desk to check out. I was charged $172.99 (after insurance) for the scan, which was a bit of a shock. I asked if I could get a copy of the images, and the clerk said that since I marked "no" on the form (....the paper form, just 30 minutes earlier) that I would have to come back on another day and request them in person, and then wait for the images to be made. Pretty boorish if you ask me. The whole experience was bad, so if you have a choice, I recommend you don't come here. I definitely made mention to my referring doctor directly and to the staff there about how terrible the staff was here. read more

The technician was great and made me feel relaxed. I have claustrophobia and I had no problem here. They were running late but pretty much that way in every medical office/ lab. Went to get an MRI on 9/20/17. Staff less than friendly. Facility dirty. I was told that they had not been able to confirm my insurance and would have to pay the $550 charge up front. That's fine, now it has been close to 3 months and they have not filed a claim with my insurer. Apparently they got their money so they're through. If they do not file a claim then I have little chance of getting reimbursed. I will not be using this business again under any circumstance. Used several times for variety of family injuries. Also have used a variety of other "more luxurious" facilities that fawn over patients. Every place you go will have you waiting for a long time and be uncomfortable. Every place will frustrate you. But this one is affordable and do the job a little more efficiently. No one likes to shell out money to sit and wait and usually you are here because you are in pain. Pain that makes you willing to go to one of these places is going to be expensive. This place, over the many years I've been here, has been faster, more convenient, and much cheaper. I have dealt with plenty of bad medical billing departments. Majority of imaging places have equivalent of a Persian Cat staff. You will leave choking on hairspray fumes and wondering how they didn't get makeup on the paperwork. And just trying to get cats to focus! Forget about it! They can't tell you what it will cost. I can only assume the partnership of doctors that own the facility like to look at cats, not competent employees. The front desk ladies here are just your regular ladies, no fluffy hair or stack of clanging bangle bracelets. Just doing their job. There is no overstaffed facility gossip going on. Just plain ole work day ladies. No fancy candy or cushy leaning seats. No golfing magazine or large expensive paintings. Furniture is from Marshall's. It's just simple. Comfortable. Not Frisco. Not McKinney. No large pretentious fake pillars in the front. But for as much as they charge you could visit a place with real columns in Rome. Literally. This place gets the job done right, much lower cost. Go to a spa if you want luxury. read more

Arrived 5 minutes early for a 1:00 o'clock appointment and the receptionist told us they were running about 15 minutes late Just informed us at 1:20 that it would be another 45 minutes. Receptionist is ridiculous unprofessional, rude, and idiotic. First, she said that I can't do since I have stents. I told her that I have done MRI 3 times this year. She insisted that I have a "safety report". I insisted that she calle Baylor Hospital and My Cardiologist. She asked the tech and he said it is ok. She was turning a revenue away. Then when I checked out, I asked her to note the record to send me an Impression Report. The tech did tell me that she can do that. She told me that her system can't. I have to call in on Wedn to request. A system nowadays does not have a way to note itself or herself to send a report? I said that is "primitive". She said no system can't do that and we have 30 patients a day. I said "hospital see hundreds a day...your system needs to be improved! She sent me home and said corporate will set up payment! I just completed an MRI at this preferred imaging location. I found everyone to be very nice and accommodating. I'm claustrophobic and my technician Fariba Womack was wonderful helping me get thru the process. I will say, if that's a big bore scanner, I don't want to see or go through the regular size. If you are claustrophobic, relax, close your eyes the entire time and occupy your brain. You can get through it! read more

It's kind of old and dingy in the actual imaging room for the MRI but the rest of the spaces are okay. It sucks if you have to go for a CAT scan or an MRI but this place doesn't make it any worse than it has to be. read more

Priscilla the front desk coordinator sent my results by email to me only after I called and requested them although I signed the papers to have them sent. I also have requested more information but she has not answered me for several days. The young lady taking the X-rays was great! Got my neck MRI done here at the beginning of Sept: clean spacious office, courteous staff-front desk, tech, and even the billing personnel (long holding line though) later on when I double checked on my bill. Very quick procedure done, waited 5' and out in 30' as told. Plenty parking. They checked my Anthem BCBS insurance and told me ahead of time how much my copay would be at the day of procedure, and when the final bill came out toward the end of the month, I only pay 66 cents additional for the difference. I checked around and noticed PIP (or Akumin) offer affordable price compare with so many others imaging places in town, and also the radiologist's fee is included in the price I paid for the procedure (I confirmed ahead of time), no hidden cost as some places (and the worst is a potential out of network radiologist, so insurance only pay for you after deductible, and w/o discount!!). Also got my MRI dish free to take home. Thank you, great experience, will sure refer my folks here! read more

Front desk seemed inefficient. They misplaced my insurance card then accused me of not giving it to them then they found it. They had postponed my MRI appointment until they could check with my insurance but didn't tell me I would owe them $279.00 until procedure was done. I walk in the door and I stand there for over 10 minutes while the lady is doing nothing. I don't mind waiting. That is not my issue. There was an elderly lady with a walker, they called her back and didn't even open the door for her even though she was clearly struggling with the door. I got up and opened the door for her. When she was done I was still in the waiting area and she was trying to come out the same door with no assistance from them. I again opened the door and then opened the main door and helped her to her car. Your business is patient care. The first time my son went to his appointment they asked him if he could wait an additional 45 minutes. He was not able to do so and rescheduled for the following week. He showed up on time and this time they asked him if he could wait an additional HOUR! He must have a full bladder for the sonogram and holding it for that long is very difficult. They only take walk-ins for X-rays so I got there right at 8:30am. She said it would be a 45 minute to a 1 hour wait. I actually only waited about 30 minutes. With my health issues I have had to get a lot of CTs and ultra sounds. This is my first time here and first impression is not good at all. The place is dirty, floor is laminate and coming up off the floor. Some broken. It has been raining and cold and there is no heat in the waking room. It is so cold and everyone is complaining yes the staff is behind a wall with a window. Go up to the window and it is pretty warm back there. Now very ct I have had to go for there is a fasting period and 45 minutes to an hour before they give you this stuff to drink. So that when you get there you are ready to go. Well not with his place. Handed a bottle to drink. Then told 30 minute wait. 30 minutes later handed another bottle I was told I had to drink. Then. have to wait another 30 minutes. They are 4 patients behind now. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this nightmare of a so called medical facility. So far this has been a 3 1/2 hour visit for a CT. read more
