Jeremy came highly recommended to us by the property manager for our condo. We needed to get our shower base done and he had some great ideas to offer. I wanted to have a pebble floor and was really nervous after reading online about several disaster jobs (not sloped correctly, not placed correctly etc etc). Additionally, we had to mix new tiles for the old damaged ones. We were not disappointed one bit with the work done - it was top quality and completed in time as promised. The condo engineer was also impressed with the quality of the work. His team was extremely polite too and not a problem around the house at all (they vaccumed the floor everyday even thogh we were not using the bathroom). Jeremy and crew were excellent! Our son had pulled down our curtain rod leaving two golf ball sized holes in our wall. Jeremy's crew fixed the holes so you never knew they existed!! I contacted NR back in early January. Jeremy came over right away to give me an estimate for remodeling my kitchen and bathroom. I already had an idea of what I wanted to do and Jeremy's estimate was in my range as well as itemized so I understood what I was paying for. I got quotes from two other contractors and they were both much higher due to expecting to take on work that wasn't necessarily needed, which I luckily knew was the case. Within a short period of time the work started and I couldn't be more pleased. The kitchen and bathroom look fantastic as the quality of the work was great, sorry for not providing pictures. Can't speak for their work since I never got past the estimate appointment that Jeremy totally flaked on. After an initial phone call Jeremy called me back and set an appointment between 10AM and 11AM the next day. He did not show or phone. I called him at 11AM and when I reminded him of the appointment, he said "oops I forgot about that". Needless to say I was pretty annoyed and told him I wouldn't do business with him. He then called me back and offered to be at my place in 10 minutes. When I scheduled the original appointment with him I mentioned that I was on a tight schedule and had an 11:30 meeting that I had to attend. Not the company for me. read more

Jeremy was recommended by our plumber who had to fix a leaking radiator pipe above our kitchen ceiling. Jeremy came by the same day that I called (we're in Rogers Park) and gave us a clear explanation on what needed to be done to fix the now huge hole in our ceiling. His estimate was fair and he even came by another day to provide us with reference contacts and to show us pictures of past repairs/work done. When he came with Max to perform our repair, they were on time, courteous, and fast. They even had time to fix a hole in the wall in our hallway. I own a three flat on the north side of Chicago and I have a continuing need for assistance in dealing with building maintenance issues. Fortunately I met Jeremy Aylesworth (Northside Renovations) a few years ago when I engaged him to fix up an empty apartment. This included repairing a water damaged ceiling, painting, repairing and grouting a tile floor and minor electrical work. Since then I have engaged him several times to fix various issues including changing locks, fixing fence gate and repairing damage to garage roof. I have just recently engaged him to fix issues in two apartments that included replacing dimmer switches and re-installing kitchen cabinets (originally installed incorrectly) and touch up painting. I have always found Jeremy to be responsive and reliable. I trust him to do work when I am not present and I have never been disappointed by the quality of his work. Jeremy came out to my small rental unit to get some heavy 1970s bifold closet doors back on their tracks (it just didn't seem cost justified to replace them yet, and they are 7 feet tall and pretty heavy press board) so I could get a new tenant in there. We'll see how his work holds up, but I'm happy with it so far. I felt I could trust Jeremy--he was polite and appropriate, apologized for leaving a small mess, had to cancel day prior for a tooth infection issue, but showed up when he said he would for the second appointment. He seemed to have a good on the go knowledge of getting old parts and working with what was available to him (the building maintenance head had already said the company making the closet parts had closed down), and so he did what he could to get the closet system back up and functioning. He took a look at other bits of the closet that seemed wonky. I felt the price was fair. Haven't used the rest of his team but would definitely give them a try again, especially with historic homes because it sounds like he has a knowledge of that, too.
