The employees are welcoming and very polite. Thankfully, I haven't come across any rude or disgruntled employees. This is one of the stores at the Phoenix Premium Outlets that offers a military discount with valid I.D. Yes, you can double dip and stack sale prices with the discount. Big sales happen on holidays, of course, so those are the best times to shop. Their regular sales aren't too shabby, either, though. Most times, I see 60% and even 70% off regular retail, so that's always fun! Their jewelry selection always gets me! I can't get enough. Kate Spade will always be a favorite staple for me. Oh look...... a nice hole was starting where the sensor got stuck and wouldnt come off. 1 wash and the hole would get bigger. Went back in the store and I looked at the placement of the sensor on all the pants of the one I got. All the sensors are placed not on the seam. Theyre going to become a hole....bad worker that censored them. That ruined all of those pants you know. I used to work in retail and you just don't place sensors on clothing items in random spots. Put it on the seam of the clothing.

My friend shops Aritzia and recommended I go in-store to try on clothes because their sizing can be inconsistent. Also the return policy for sale items is 1) less than 50% off can be exchanged or returned for merchandise credit, and 2) 50% off or more are final sale. To me it's still pricey with a sale, so I want to make sure the items fit. I went into the store knowing exactly the two items I wanted to try. I had a hard time looking for a size for a blouse because it was hanging too high up. A store associate saw me struggle and offered to help. I wish I caught her name because she was very helpful and patient. She found the items I wanted, and helped me order one to ship to my house because they didn't have the color in store. In the fitting room, I was surprised there was no mirror! Rather than go out and have all eyes on me, I just used my phone as a mirror. Other than the weird fitting room experience, I had a good shopping experience here.

Their shoes are also to-die-for. Ever heard the saying that "poor people can't afford to buy cheap things"? It argues that if you bite the bullet and pay the price for higher quality clothes, you won't need to replace your clothes as often, therefore saving you money. Unfortunately after trying on again at home, I decided to return everything I purchased. I feel like I could have picked something better with some guidance from the sales staff. Customer service was sparse, but my interactions with the employees were pleasant overall. The women were kind when I checked out, and on my second visit, it was easy to return the items. My advice to Madewell is to focus more on customer service. If I originally had help picking out the right jeans for my body, I would have ended up keeping them and the company would have made $300 instead of $0.
