They…read morehave a wide variety of styles to try on, as well as different stack heights (essentially the amount of cushioning in shoe) so some are close to "barefoot" and others make transition easier. I was new to this type of shoe and ended up with a pair of Lems which seem like a good choice. The young lady who waited on me seemed knowledgeable and answered lots of question. Other places like REI or Sole sports carry one or two shoes from one brand, but know relatively little about the category of shoe, so having a store that specializes is really good. So this part is 5 star. The less clear part is the value of the fitting choices. I choose the Signature fit session, but I suspect that there is really no real difference in the fitting session with the free session (another guy walked in while I was there). They took a few videos of my walk and foot mechanics and a podiatrist will supposedly review it, but that was 1 1/2 weeks ago, and I've heard nothing yet, so don't know how valuable that is. They had me do some foot excercises by watching a youtube by Dr. Emily and the info seems to be useful, but also readily available on Youtube without paying for it. Bottom line seems like a good store, one I would readily visit again, but did not find a value proposition for the signature fit session. The web site descriptions that the normal fitting is only trying on 3 shoes in 15 minutes didn't seem very welcoming, and my experience suggests that the actual experience is much friendlier than this description so don't be put off by those descriptions. That is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

I called this place thinking I could sell to them and they would give me a honest price on what I have. When talking to the lady on the phone she told me, "don't come here unless you know what you have or we will just offer you a dollar"..... red flag. I do research, but I'm no expect. And goes on to tell me that, "he couldn't sell this all for 1.5k"..... doesn't even counter offer just says it's not even worth 1.5k I laugh, I can tell he's a scammer. He's talking in circles, telling me what I have is trash and then weighing his own piece to show how much it weights and how he gets 200 for this, ugly piece that weight less than what I was showing. I leave and do my research, find an appraiser that works for a museum in Tucson and works for the university there. This is a specialist who has done decades of this type of work. She goes through each piece and she tells me 12k is the lowest end I should sell this collection. One piece alone was appraised at 3.8k.... Worse case, this dude is a scammer. Best case, he has zero idea on what he's talking about. Don't say you weren't warned!

People who buy shoes here are collectors. It makes sense. You cannot try them on. They do measure your foot. Personally for me this is the end of the transaction. I however am not the targeted market. My son is and he knows his size in the shoes he buys. His friends know their sizes. Different world of buyers. 2. They don't want food or drinks in their store. They enforce it and tell you upfront. From what I seen the rules apply to everyone. Looking around, buying five pairs of shoes, young kid, grown man, attractive college girl, doesn't matter. Eat and drink somewhere else. I watched them enforce the rule three times, with respect, it's posted. 3. They asked everyone in the store if they needed help or had questions. I look pretty homeless a lot, oil stained clothes from work and hobbies. I skip designer clothes, they have no value to me. I don't care about $400 plastic wrapped Nike tennis shoes above MSRP. My son does though and I buy them as gifts. The staff asked me, two college girls, a kid and his parents, and a few people wandering around if they needed help. Truthfully I was impressed with the customer service. I am 100% confident the young sales guys would rather spend time talking to college girls than me, you couldn't tell from their approach. They will ask multiple times while you look. They seemed really excited to talk about shoes. Again, I'm not the targeted market, I just want to buy shoes and leave. 4. I don't know about the return policy. You might to check it if this is a concern. I would bet it's strictly enforced. Overall, I was treated respectfully and got the help needed. I probably only stopped by once to stop by a restaurant previously; however, this past weekend, I found myself stopping by there to visit Sole Sports. I recently learned that I needed stability running shoes to complement my orthotics. When I entered Sole Sports, I met Jess right away who fully understood exactly what I needed. She measured my feet and asked me a bunch of questions. Then, she brought out various pairs of shoes and walked me through trying them on with my orthotics. I learned that I should be considering a shoe size a half-size larger than what I thought I needed. That certainly made a huge difference! I got some good ideas of what I wanted to do moving forward, and while the prices seemed quite a bit more than what they are online (similar to any physical store), they offered me a discount since I was referred to Sole Sports by a doctor. Sole Sports is a locally owned, specialty running and walking store based in Phoenix. They strive to be an alternative to big box stores and online shopping. In addition to offering a wide variety of running and walking gear, they host weekly training runs, support local running clubs & youth programs, sponsor local races and donate a lot of money back into our local community. You can learn more about Sole Sports by going to their website (https://solesports.runfreeproject.com) where you can shop online, find out about training programs, locate all five of their stores, better understand the fit process, learn about upcoming events, and read up on blog entrees. This particular location is open on weekdays from 10 AM to 7 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM. Just as Sole Sports strives to do, I experienced top-notch service while checking out quality products. I plan on returning to Sole Sports in the future!
