This is my new go-to Rack. I work in downtown Seattle, but find the new Westlake Center Rack strangely configured and somewhat claustrophobic. Alderwood is fine on a weekday, but never on weekend (lack of parking). Same for Southcenter. The Northgate Rack is a manageable size and thoughtfully configured. If you've been to one Rack, you've seen them all so I won't bore you with specifics. Check out is straightforward, however they already have supplemental cash registers on hand. (I think they underplanned in the register department.) Looking forward to scoring some deals at the Northgate Rack! Hint: avoid the crazy parking lot in front of the Rack & head upstairs by Red Robin. There are stairs leading down to the Rack. read more

A Nordstrom Rack is now only a 5 minute drive from my house...ALL BAD! I'm glad the layout of this store is NOT like westlake's and similar to all the others. And thank goodness they have a kids section! (unlike westlake...SMDH) Anyways the selection here is good! I was able to find a lot of nice designer shoes (Hunter & Burberry rainboots for deals!), good size run on clothing, and the accessories were also stocked (lots of marc jacobs & MK watches). Also, I love how they have the "mobile" registers where you can walk up to any sales associate wearing a bright green shirt and get rung up right then and there. Very convenient! Should be called Nordstrom CRACK amirite?? Really great selection of clothes and shoes especially. The home and beauty section is not as large but still has some nice finds. This location has lots of marked down wardrobe staples (Hue tights, 4Paix T-shirts) as well as trendy, seasonal name brand merchandise. I have found great prices on some designer pieces that I would not normally have splurged on at full (or even regular sale) prices. I found a couple pair of Tommy Bahama pants for my husband that fit very well, for only $25/each. Last season sure, but he doesn't care! The best part about this store is the SHOES. Large selection in just about every size you could want - I saw up to women's 12/13 and men's 16/17. Designer shoes such as Coach and Tory Burch although I have spotted some marked down designers in with the hoi polloi as well! The ability to check out at a station with a roving saleperson is also a plus, although sometimes it is awkward when carrying a lot of stuff. Don't judge my shopaholic ways! read more

Purchased a 300 coat here once, did not come with a belt. Loving the coat, but the employee keep on insisting all of their coats does not come with a belt. This absolutely make no sense at all to me. I am in the process of contacting the original company who owns this coat, since Nordstrom Rack insisting on not wanting to help me out. read more

This is one of my favorite rack locations. So organized and clean compared to other locations. Less crowded too. Designer clothes are a fraction of the cost? Yep, I am in. I always leave with something. Never had an issue with customer service here. read more

Love the new Rack at Northgate Mall. Location, location, location! Also love that you can check out with any rep in a green shirt instead of waiting in line. And if you sign up with their Nordstrom debit or credit card, they give you $100 in free alterations every year plus other small perks. Love it! This location is probably the worst of NR's collection of stores. Selection is just okay and customer service is also lacking. Parking here is terrible - tip: park in the JCP garage (entrance only in the middle of the lot - difficult to find but worthwhile nonetheless!) If you really want to find some gems you're better off heading downtown to Westlake, or to Factoria in Bellevue. Southcenter is decent, but if I had to order them in the Seattle area it would go: Factoria, Westlake, Southcenter, Alderwood, Northgate. read more

Yay! A Nordstrom Rack close to home!!! I was excited to see that this store was definitely less crowded than the downtown store, at least on a Friday evening, and although a smallish store it is laid out with an open floor plan that makes it easy to move around. Plus, no wait for dressing rooms. And free parking! The downtown store definitely has a larger selection, but this store is still great... I even found a couple of things I'd struck out on a visit to the downtown store the previous week. Love the mobile checkout service, too. read more

Pretty good selection of higher end clothes (better than the Nordstrom at Northgate). It's much more organized than the downtown Rack, and I think the clothes and the price ranges are a bit more accessible than the downtown Rack. I will say, the sales people seem to be new, and they take forever checking people out and getting dressing rooms ready. read more

Fantastic values and even more so when they have an extra sale on red tags. Staff is always friendly, personable and able to provide fashion advice when requested. Compared to the chaos that is the downtown store, this Nordstrom Rack is an oasis of calm. Everything is organized - down to the earrings which are arranged in by brand and then again by style. There are no deals that need to be picked off the floor, no crowds to contend with (at least on a weeknight) and the sales staff actually take the time to answer questions. It doesn't even feel too much like a discount store. The only bad thing about this place is that there's no mall access directly from the store. You have to walk around the outside of the mall and find the elevator or drive to a mall entrance. read more

The selection is surprisingly limited, and the staff are extremely unhelpful. They don't allow any layaways and do not except Apple Pay.

Despite this being the newest location, still prefer the Factoria location. Northgate Rack doesn't have designer. Layout makes sense and is way less cramped feeling than downtown, ftw. read more

I like this location. It was my go-to before the downtown remodeled/moved. It is still bright and clean and pretty well organized. The people are helpful, but not overly so. The shoe section is pretty small. I've never been in the store when it's really busy, so check out is relatively fast. I've also never had a problem returning items that didn't work out. read more

The shoe selection alone at any Nordstrom Rack is a beautiful thing. I tell ya, no matter what, they have a selection. Sometimes I find things here, sometimes I don't, but you know, it's Nordstroms. It's their outlet. Life doesn't get better than this...plus, they have those long lines at checkout down to a science. Love the Nordstrom Rack flags plus just grabbing an employee to check out...brilliant. I have found a beautiful little black dress that was once WAY expensive for a reasonable $60 and you know, I'm a fan for life. This location is great. Love you Nordstrom Rack. read more

This particular store got rid of shopping carts with seats. Last time I asked an employee about it and he said they had only two of them now ( before that it was the whole bunch of carts near the entrance). This is ridiculous even in Seattle, which is not kid-friendly city. read more

This is my least favorite Nordstrom rack store. By far. I am a huge online shopper and if I ever need to return anything I go to the store downtown or the store in Bellevue. I've returned one thing here and the girl made me feel like a criminal. Lol. Today, as I was checking out I asked about a mascara- it was the last one but it was open, and I wanted to see if they had more anywhere else and the guy literally told me that if I didn't buy it some one else would... and I asked how sanitary it is to sell a used mascara, and he said, verbatim, "well I could damage it out but someone will buy it" wtf. Save your price stickers for your shoes even if you are keeping them. I bought a pair for my husband. Within a month the left sole started flapping. I tried to take them back but I was told "Sorry....nothing I can do. They have been worn and no sticker." I had my receipt! What happened to standing behind the quality of what you sell? read more

My favorite location to shop :) since they have discounted items, they are usually crowded. Staff are usually nice, but sometimes I can tell that they are waiting for their shift to end. Cashiers are usually not pushy as Macy's cashiers about opening their store credit card, which may not be great for the company itself, but great deal for me. read more

Today I needed a pair of shoes. It's the day after Christmas and I had some gift money to spend. I looked up discount shoes on Google maps, Nordstrom rack came up as the nearest place to me. As I looked at the offerings available I shook my head. $89 down from $150 wasn't quite my idea of "discount shoes". An attendant asked me if I needed help looking for anything, and I answered " No, I probably am done " . I then muttered to myself that I had apparently stepped outside of my socioeconomic bracket. He looked me up and down and said "Yup". I won't be shopping there again even if I win the lottery. read more

Don't be fooled Nordstrom Rack is nothing like Nordstrom!! I normally shop Nordstrom's but I was told to check Nordstrom Rack. I ended up buying a couple things including a charger for my phone. It worked great. I went on vacation and it stopped working. When I come back I tried to return it and nope it has been to long. Would never had this problem with Nordstrom. The manager at the Nordstrom Rack actually said, "if you thought it was going to brake then you should not have bought it". Are you kidding me!!! I really wanted to like this location because it's the closest to my house and I was beyond excited when I heard it opened but so far it's been really disappointing. To start off the cashiers aren't nearly as friendly as the ones in Alderwood I've been asked for my I.D. the last couple of times I've paid with my DEBIT card which just doesn't make sense to me...... don't get me wrong I have nothing against people trying to protect my identity but it's my debit card not my credit card the last time I went in I only happened to have my debit card on me and when I told the lady I didn't have my i.d she said "sorry mam I need your i.d" she didn't let me purchase $300 worth of merchandise because she needed to check my i.d so I could use my DEBIT CARD??? WHAT???? and when I asked her why all she did was repeat herself. and I don't even know where to begin about the parking let's just say the cold long walk from your car to this store is not worth it! the Lynnwood location is 10 times better I'd rather go out of my way to avoid going to this location. read more

I was so excited when this location opened because it's dangerously close to where I live. It's also conveniently located (kind of hidden) on the back side of Northgate Mall near the JCPenny. This location is small, but they still have a great selection of all the things you can count on the Rack for: jeans, jewelry, shoes. Check it out. read more

I find the selection hit and miss. Sometimes I find a ton of stuff sometimes nothing at all. The customer service is OK. The staff are always busy restocking, straightening, etc. No one really acknowledges you except the cashier when you ring out. They get a 4 star because of the friendly security guard. He acknowledges everyone who walks in and thanks them when they leave the store. In other stores the security guards just tries to look tough and mean. ;) read more

Tried to return a pair of cole haan's I wore for about two weeks because the heel popped off. The customer service lady was this old red head who was super rude. Telling me I had the wrong box (the rack uses random boxes) and that the shoes were worn. No duh the shoes were worn, I wouldn't buy a brand new pair of shoes if the heel was broken off. All I wanted to do was exchange and she didn't even bother looking up my nordy's card for receipt. Most absolute ridiculous service I have ever seen, I didn't expect it with the Nordstrom name. I receive better customer service at jack in the box, shell gas stations and diamond parking lot attendants. read more

Good picks, they have good options of clothing, designers and even their clearance is good. But every time I'm in here the customer return side is super rude! My husband wanted to buy a suit set however only the coat was there. They tried looking for the matching pants couldn't find it we said it's fine we will pay full price he really liked that coat. However I understand there are rules but you don't need to be dismissive and rude about it. We weren't even trying to haggle the price down she straight up said this will no longer be sold it will "mess up our inventory" he pushed very politely mind you to speak with manager she refused. Last time one of the belts still had the sensor on we waited for someone to look to see what's wrong no one would show up and that side of the returns, like always with great attitude told us to stand in line to have them take a look! However as most Nordstrom racks go this isn't bad selections. read more

(On 6/25/2019 around 2pm) Being watched like a hawk by the security guard, who ironically is a person of color as well, while shopping with your toddler who's in a stroller, isn't the best experience. I'm not trying to say it was a race issue, but it definitely felt like one. I think a corporate refresher on racial bias and prejudices may be necessary. Needless to say, I still walked out of the store with a little over $300 in purchases because a bad experience won't stop me from getting great deals. Do better though! read more

Extremely disappointed with my service experience as I tried to order an item over the phone the other day. The saleman I spoke to lead me on and made it appear as if he had ordered the item for me, and then tells me that he can't complete the order because the store manager has to "verify" my information. He told me if I was in the store, in person, there would be no issue... Not really understanding the logic in this, if this has NEVER been an issue in the past with other associates?... He tells me the store manager will call me back when he's back from lunch break... well, no one ever called me back. Please don't make promises to a customer who wants to spend money, and then never follow through with that. Poor service. Now I have to waste my time, money, and gas to drive to the store to order this item because apparently I can't order items over the phone anymore. read more

Whadayaknow it's the Rack. I came here to get my dad some gym clothes and ended up getting that and a pair of jeans for myself. They have the same goods as any other Rack, but this one is considerably less run over and picked thru than the downtown Rack. read more

This location has both its pros and its cons, so I'm very ambivalent about it. It's always very busy so it's difficult to find a parking spot, they sell out of the smaller sizes very quickly, and there is always a very long line. However, the staff is always extremely friendly and willing to go out of their way to help me. So despite it being so busy I stop in every so often. The unfortunate thing is that I very rarely find something to buy since they are always so low on items in my size. Sigh. Maybe one of these days..... read more
