This place is OK. I say that because it is the smallest Nordstrom rack I've ever seen, and therefore it doesn't have a very large selection of things to buy. Usually in other places when I come across a rack, I can spend hours perusing the store . This is not my first time coming here to buy something. However, I noticed that every time I buy something I leave empty-handed. The most successful thing I have managed thus far is to return some thing without any problems. But I could've done that anyway. The selection isn't fantastic. It isn't comprehensive. And right now I'd rather go to Emeryville and risk actually finding some thing I can buy, rather than come here and look around. Actually, I'd actually go to an actual Nordstrom store because I know they're gonna have what I want. It may not be at the price that I want, but it will be there! read more

What a great grand opening! They had raffles for prizes, a photo op, and a coffee cart. Welcome to the neighborhood. I was excited to hear about one opening nearby. Upon entry, you were greeted and it felt like you were walking the red carpet. Great music and great vibes. Located in between tjmax and Homegoods, the Nordstrom rack was able to pack a lot of stuff in their corner space. They have a lot of variety and brands for your fashion needs. Nordstrom Rack - Inside the new Nordstrom Rack - Department Stores Near Me - Pinole, California

Last night, 12/16/25, I was very disappointed with my experience at this store. I was looking for hosiery and asked a staff member who was restocking if they carried thigh-high tights. The associate responded with visible irritation, looked at me as though I was inconveniencing her, and handed me knee-high tights in a dismissive manner while saying, "Is this it?" I clarified that I was looking for thigh-highs, not knee-highs. Rather than engaging further, I chose to walk away. When I reached the checkout area, there were only two employees present. One was assisting a customer with an issue that ended up taking approximately thirty minutes to resolve. The other cashier was juggling a long line, around seven customers, while also helping someone who had returned to the store to have a security tag removed from their purchase. Eventually, the associate handling the unresolved issue asked for help from a manager, Joey. I assumed this was to assist with ringing up customers and reducing the growing line. Instead, the associate explained she was unable to provide a gift receipt despite trying multiple solutions. Joey, the same manager who had been dismissive during my hosiery inquiry, responded rudely to her employee, gave her an unpleasant look, and instructed her to repeat steps she had already attempted. Rather than stepping in to resolve the issue herself, Joey walked away entirely. As a customer, this was shocking to witness. The associate had been trying to resolve the issue for thirty minutes, and as management made no effort to take over, support their employee, or acknowledge the long line of customers who had been waiting patiently. Instead, the associate was left to try the same unsuccessful steps at multiple registers. Management showed no awareness of the situation on the floor, no urgency to assist customers who had been waiting for an extended period, and no respect toward their own staff. Especially during a busy weekday evening and the holiday season, this lack of leadership and efficiency was unacceptable. Nordstrom Rack, effective management should be able to read the room, support employees, and keep the store running smoothly. Experiences like this negatively affect not only customers but also staff morale, and ultimately reflect poorly on the company as a whole. read more

This is a perfect addition to the Pinole area; there are not many places to shop in West County. The store is small but packed with merchandise. Parking is easy. I needed something new. I guess I am behind the times when it comes to fashion and the latest styles. I was shocked to see one of the most expensive denim pants looked a lot like the pair I was hoping to replace. I did not see anything that I might consider my style, you might. I don't like to shop online I want to go to stores in my community. I certainly don't need any new clothes, but if I do I will check the inventory here. read more

Because first day I visited, I walked out with these buttery capri pants from Paige. $100 down the hole (originally $290ish). Thanks, hubs! I randomly stumbled upon this new location-- where else? on yelp, ofc! I was checking closing times for the Emeryville location, where I frequent. And then this location popped up on my feed. Not only was 15 minutes away from where I live but it closed later at 9pm (the Emeryville location closes at 8pm). WHAT. And then I read some of the reviews (all good btw). And that's part of what motivated me to check it out within one hour of closing. Close to 8-ish, I walked in to a clean, bright store filled with high quality brands like Madewell, Paige, Theory, Ted Baker, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, etc. The list goes on. The racks were neatly organized and staff were friendly. Bathrooms were clean-ish, maybe needed some attention but not disgusting. Is it bad that I thought to myself: how long can they keep it this way? Opening day was 3/7/2024, so it was shy of a month being open. I have my doubts, but we will see. Pinole has struck gold for having Nordstrom Rack. Now the parking lot near TJ Maxx is packed with cars filling up the parking spaces. I actually went on the second day of the opening. I have seen line from the fitting room. I don't think people have been to a Nordstrom Rack especially the one in Pleasant Hill near Safeway and Sun Valley Mall. I was greeted by someone that works at Nordstrom Rack. I was inform that business has been busy since their opening. Customers were allowed to put stuff on hold to get later in case they refuse to wait in that long line. That is excellent customer service that they been giving to the customers. As far of the selection that is in Nordstrom Rack isn't bad. Seems like a much better selection of clothes compare to TJ Maxx which is not far from Nordstrom Rack. A bit pricey compare to TJ Maxx. Nordstrom Rack is the place where people will be doing their shopping at now compare to going to Burlington. I believe this store and TJ Maxx will be the place that people will be going to for clothes. Pinole, you brought the shopping center back alive again. read more

Absolutely love this store!!! They have been so organized and helped through out my overall experience. A woman named Joey was the most helpful, she took the time to help me complete a return and carefully helped me through the steps for online orders and returns. It's nice having this place in Pinole. I prefer Nordstrom because of the beauty counters, but The Rack does have some skin care options. Staff is friendly. They handled the grand opening nicely. One staff member had extremely ill fitting jeans on with six inches of butt crack in my face. One star there. And this promo flyer was impossible to read. I used a jeweler's loup once I got home to read what I actually got with it. It was explained incorrectly at the register. Overall it's well organized. read more

Selection of shoes, clothes, bags and beauty products is pretty good. I love the customer service here. I live 5 min drive from this store. So location wise it is great for me. Store is small compared to other locations but location wise I have no complains. read more

The store was stocked, I did purchase a pair of Good American jeans. I wasn't impressed being a grand opening. It wasn't worth the traffic. The Rack (or Nordstrom Store) is just not the same. It use to be known for the quality and top designers, a lot of the clothing is just cheap or ugly (for a lack of a better word). What they were really known for were the shoes. I find a lot of them are not stylish and cheap. I can't tell if tell if I'm in JCP or Macy's bc it's certainly not the Nordstrom I fell in love with. Gone are the days of quality. read more
