I'm not sure why they have such a low rating on here, but this is by far the best Shoe Palace in the surrounding area, including Emeryville and Concord. They have the best inventory out of all the other surrounding stores. Their customer service is top-notch. The store is always clean. The music is always a vibe And the security guard are always pleasant. Manager and staff are always friendly and helpful! I love their 2/30 section of graphic tshirts and their hat selection as well. They have amazing products for a good price. read more

Waited far too long than I should've to be attended in a professional manner, it wasn't until the security asked if I needed help that I got the help which was ridiculous to me since I was by the way the ONLY customer in that store, there was no reason to not be attentive and get the help I needed. Music is too loud and salespeople nowhere to be found, if I can give them zero stars I most definitely would. Better off shopping online than walking into this store! read more

Reason for two stars: the music was blasting, so loud I couldn't believe the company thinks this is a way to attract customers. Not only loud but pounding hammering ear-splitting noise. However, sales person was friendly and helpful. Selection was fairly limited as I usually need a wide width and they don't stock any. But I could barely stay long enough to try on one pair, due to the noise. Will never go into this place again. read more

Bought my husband a starter jacket for Christmas. When we took it out of the package it had a spot on it. I sent them an email to the customer service. Almost two weeks went by I had to spend an hour on the phone to trying to get the customer service because they had not responded to my email. when I finally got them the person I spoke with made excuses about why they had not answered my email. She then proceeded to send me an email response while I was on the phone. she then tried to tell me I would have to pay to return it to them I asked why would I pay to return a damaged jacket you sent me. She then said she misunderstood me. She asked me to send a copy of the packing slip, a picture of the damage and picture of the jacket with tags attached and they would try to find me another one or refund my money. She asked that I send the information and she would get back to me in 3 days. Now it has been two weeks no response. I tried to call today I spent 1hour and 30 mins waiting for someone to answer the phone and it cut me off. Spend your money somewhere where the customer service is better I definitely won't spend any more money with them. read more

After reading reviews I went to Shoe Palace anyway. My experience with service there was fine. I was asked by 3 different employees if I needed help within the first few minutes of arrival. My problem was shoe selection. Everything I wanted to try was not available in my size (11 or 11.5). One employee told me that's a popular size, and they only get one of each size for each model shoe. I would think if it's a popular size they'd stock more. read more

I went to this location to get some shoes really quickly for an event I had the next day and it took about 20 minutes to get some help. Once I asked for the shoes that I needed the employee took forever to get them for me just to say they didn't have it, so I asked for a different pair and he came back with an attitude and was being rude. I asked what his name was and at first he didn't want to give it to me but turns out his name is Ezequiel. I was going to request to speak with a manager but at that point I was fed up with all the attitude and the bad energy so I decided to just leave. Management really needs to check their employees because this is unacceptable. read more

It's like you have to beg to get any help. I came in and was greeted by 3 staff all by the register, great! but literally waited 20 minutes to get any help. This was after I had to directly walk up to the counter and ask if they could please see if they had my size in stock. I was rudely cut off by the person assisting me saying they didn't have any of the shoes I pulled out in my size, without even checking. She then proceeded to walk up the counter and fix her coworkers lashes. At this point I had to walk back up again to see if some of the other shoes I liked were in stock. Alan who works at this store sold me a pair of shoes that had a messed up box and previously worn with a stain on the tip of the shoe. I returned it and question him what was his reasoning of selling some shoes in a terrible condition, his reason was "I grabbed them from the bottom of the shoe stack, I didn't know they were damaged and already worn". After saying such an excuse he proceeded to tell me on the phone before the return that he has several pairs of air forces and wouldn't have thought that would have been a problem given all the air forces the store gets is brand new shoes (Another phony ass excuse) All I'm saying is I'm not buying no shoes from this store nomo and if my money from what his excuse of "did not fit" don't return to my card, They gone get a good visit from me and imma walk in there with nothing and leave with something . If I can give them ZERO stars I would. They SUCK in here. Go inside if you want to be treated like a criminal and thief. I have came and bought shoes twice here and twice they made me feel uncomfortable. 1) You have to find a salesperson to even get any help. They are all standing in a corner just gossiping and talking. 2) I went in to buy a gift for my nephew and wanted to make sure there was no damage to the shoes. I asked them may I look at them he wouldn't let me hold them only one at a time. I don't understand why they do that. Theirs a security guard right at the door they make you feel like you're a criminal or you going to steal the shoes. The box was damaged I asked him is there anyway they can look in the back for a better box because it's a gift and he didn't bother to look on the computer or anything he was just like this is the last size. He was not even the person that helped me to get the shoes in the back. So how would he even know. Of course he was lazy horrible customer service. They all need to be fired with new staff and retrained everyone on customers service even basic etiquette on making people want to spend money and not treat us like criminals. There prices are not even that great when they say they have "SALES" I wouldn't be surprised if there shoes are fake. Be carful buying any thing from here they are rude, dirty, rude! They can work on their customer service. The only person who greeted and acknowledged me was the security person. The employees didn't even make eye contact with me until I approached the counter but acknowledged everyone else in the store. I would understand if they didn't acknowledge anyone in the store but it really felt like I was invisible for awhile. read more

These employees sucks! The other day i went for somee shoes for my toddlers and i was on my work clothes and behind me some dudes that were "dressed decent" i didnt get a hello or helped the first 15mins i was there but the other dudes got helped right away so i feel like they judge u based on how ur appearance if u gonna buy anything and "worth their time".
