Great name brand clothing without walking into Boutiques if you're not into that kind of thing. Prices can be high depending on what area you're in, so buy within you're own budget. I wouldn't usually review a big box store, but I feel like this one is long overdue. Why am I reviewing Nordstrom? Because I want to rave about the customer service. Three illustrations... I bought a Clinique powder compact that broke a little less than a week after purchase. I paid in cash and didn't have a receipt. Went back to Nordstrom to purchase another, happened to mention to the woman helping me that I was replacing one I'd bought earlier that had broken. My pressed powder was replaced for free. I have a Michelle watch with a glass face from Nordstrom. I'd love a Rolex, but the other half says I have to at least keep this one 3 years as I have a tendency to lose them. Don't tell him (Fortunately, he won't search Yelp for reviews of any shopping establishments!), but I've broken the glass. Twice. Each time it's been cheerfully sent back for repair and I get a call when it's done. Nice! I recently got swept away by the romance of a high Prada heel when I should have bought the more practical (but less sexy) Cole Haan pair. Wore them 1 night to a wedding that night for 3 hours. Killed my feet. Typically wouldn't have asked, but couldn't stand the idea of the shoes sitting in my closet while I still didn't have a pair of nude pumps comfy enough for work (I'm an elementary principal and I'm on my feet all day, occasionally (literally) chasing kids). Called Nordstrom, They took the shoes back and I have my Cole Haans. That was truly above and beyond. For this reason, when I have the choice between shopping at Nordstrom or a comparable store that carries the same item, Nordstrom will always get my business. read more

Two words: RETURN POLICY Scared those shoes won't feel right after you stand in them for 8 hours? Will those jeans be the same after you wash them? Never fear, because Nordstrom has your back. I shop nearly all of their departments (okay, not men's or kid's), and the service is pretty steady across the suite, even in TBD. I make all of my shoe purchases here. If they don't have my size, they will ship it to me for free. Also, I know that if the shoes aren't comfortable or don't go well with my duds, I can bring them back. I LOVE this Nordstrom store! AAAAND if you need to get your eyebrows done go to Stephanie Jefferson at the Anastasia Beverly Hills make up counter. She does such an AMAZING job! Not to mention she has an Uber wonderful personality; such a sweetheart. I'm sooo glad I found her because I love my eyebrows (she fixed them for me) and she even taught me how to color them in the right way. Thank you so much Steph! The smells, the shoes, the selection, the clothing, the dazzling girls and merchandise make this place amazingly fun and satisfying to come back again and again! I saw everything around in Nordstrom from cosmetics to $700 (that's the least expensive pricing on shoes) to some beautiful women working in the counter to apply makeup on their clients. They had wonderful attire and the perfume selection was marvelous!! I ended up purchasing a $100 perfume from French style in pink bottle Chanel perfume in oval shape. The ladies were absolutely wonderful and bagged the bottle for me in a cute small and grey bag. My shopping experience was awesome and hopefully I'll come again. read more

I've been shopping at Nordstrom for as long as I can remember-one of my earliest memories was going with my mom and my sister on a big trip to the one in Chicago and getting new school shoes every year. This Nordstrom isn't all that different from other ones I've been to-they have all the fabulous products and brands that a girl can want from a Nordstrom store and they sales people are pretty good. Now I think I'm probably biased because I had my go to sales people in Chicago and I haven't found that yet here but that doesn't keep me from coming back! Two best things about shopping at this chain? 1) RETURN POLICY! They're take anything back at anytime and I mean anything. Go to google and look up Nordstrom tire return and you'll see what I mean 2) Their anniversary sale every summer-best time ever to shop for new shoes and super cute stylish stuff for the fall. I save up for this throughout the year and let my self go wild in the store. Last year I scored an awesome black leather purse and 3 pairs of shoes! I should probably give some sort of specific review as to this particular store! I was with a friend and we were both looking for some nicer clothes (think trousers and a nice top of sorts) and the girl who helped us out was awesome. If I knew her name it would be better but she went above and beyond (like I think all the employees do!) and searched for things in our size and brought in a ton of awesome stuff to the dressing room. Amazing place to shop! Has everything you need in one place. Sell cute designer shoes, purse, clothes, and accessories. The nordstrom brands are also amazing. My personal favorite is the ASTR brand from Savvy and Hinge in TBD. They come out with great styles! Topshop was recently launched at the store and it looks awesome! I love Topshop and so glad they finally got it! Price is reasonable. The employees at nordstrom is always super friendly. Always get greeted on each floor. They are super helpful as well. It's also great because there is a coffee shop just located on the first level and a delicious Restuarant on the 2nd level! read more

I've always loved to shop at Nordstrom because they have everything there making it my one stop shop. Never had I had a bad sales associate there until today. I was in at about 7pm looking at the Charlotte Tilbury make up section in hopes of looking for a new foundation when a sales associate came and asked if I needed help with anything and I told her, "yes I was actually looking for a lightweight foundation that will still be able to give me a full coverage." She then replies, "Lightweight? Full coverage? Those 2 are two completely different things. Something full coverage won't ever be lightweight." At that point I was astonished at how rude and snobby she was. It put me in such despair because a real make up artist would know that those 2 can go together. For instance, Urban Decay all nighter, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, Too Face Born This way can all provide a lightweight feeling with build-able coverage. I could have resorted to any of those foundations but I love trying new foundations each time I finish and Charlotte Tilbury's were next on my list. In the end she told me I was better off at Sephora on the second floor and walked away. Thanks to her I'll be staying away from this Nordstrom and making all my purchases at Sephora from now on. On side note, loved the sales associate who helped me out at Bobbi Brown. He was friendly and provided me with the assistance that I needed. We grand opened a new store in Cherry Creek mall this past weekend. Breck Patty, the LaMer counter manager, came over to visit. I had the pleasure of meeting him at our door. He was kind, friendly, and understanding as I told him there would be a wait to come inside the store and I likely couldn't get him in that day. We started chatting and I discovered he was the La Mer counter manager at Nordstrom. I'm new to the Denver area, about to run out of my La Mer eye cream, and am a devoted Nordstrom and La Mer client. I told him I would come and visit him before Anniversary sale is over. He had to get back to work, and about 15 minutes later, he returned with a bag of La Mer samples and a handwritten thank note. I am blown away by his hospitality, professionalism, and salesmanship. I cannot wait to visit him and become his long-term client. What an incredible gem!!!! read more

I rarely review stores on yelp, especially stores as large and as well known as Nordstrom, but the employees went above and beyond to make sure my experience was great. I am not the guy who shops high-end clothing a lot, but when I do, I know exactly what I want, and it's usually a battle of finding it locally. I don't believe I'm going in here to shop! I used to work at the main distribution center (#89) in Portland, OR. I swore I'd never step foot in a retail outlet ever, and here I am. "I know all of your secrets" I thought as I walked to the men's dept. I was approached by someone very quickly, not in the normal, harried department store kinda way, but in a genuine "I know everything about all the items in my department, just ask me" kinda way. I explained my requirements, and was immediately led to a different, but equally confidence-exuding gentleman. He presented several suits that were very nice, but not quite what I was looking for. A little conservative, which is how I would play it were I him, start there and work out. He then moved on to a nicer and more stylish line. I never felt rushed, or pushed into anything. I saw a few I liked enough to consider, and left with his card. When I called back with a tailoring question, he remembered my name, the suits I looked at, and the ones I had liked the best in order. (GTFO! REALLY?!?) I was blown away! I can tell you if I needed another reason to come back in and buy, I was sold at that minute. read more

As an educator, I often look ratchet when I'm not in my teacher disguise when I go out to shop and often get ignored by associates because I look like a peasant. Yelena saw me looking around and crossed the department store to help me find a Laura Mercier translucent powder. Friendly, no judgement & quick checkout! I then had a great experience thanks to Eric at the MAC counter in Nordstrom. The MAC counter in the mall had couple of associates (understaffed/not the employees fault) and I couldn't wait half an hour to be helped. Eric was very friendly, very knowledgable (matched me perfectly without telling him my foundation number)and helped me put on a full-face and even let me play with some brow pomade so I could have facial expressions again. I'm so incredibly disappointed in the Cherry Creek Nordstrom. I moved from across town, where I'd regularly go to the Park Meadows location. Two years ago, I bought a Tory Burch crossbody that was around $500. Definitely used it a lot, but took extra good care of it since it's such a nice purse. Today, the strap snapped off, so I took it to Nordstrom in Cherry Creek. The employee in Customer Service insisted they could not look up my account because their records don't go back that far, and directed me down to the handbags section. The employee in the handbags section told me there was nothing they could do, they don't do any repairs on any sort of handbag anymore, and they don't offer any sort of warranty for damages/defects regardless of when the bag was purchased. Because they couldn't do anything, they said their only suggestion was to take the bag to a Tory Burch store, even though I bought the bag at Nordstrom. A $500 crossbody shouldn't have a snapped strap after two years. Nordstrom didn't even offer a recommendation for a repair shop...completely unacceptable for any store, much less Nordstrom. I've been a very loyal, longtime, good customer to Nordstrom- so have my family and friends. We will be going to Neiman Marcus from now on. read more

Regretablly, I did not have a fantatastic customer service experience; quite the contrary. I would like to highlight how awful I was treated by Alfonso on two separate phone calls. And he is a manager???!! I lost something, I purchased at Nordstrom Park Meadows, that was fairly expensive. After frantically retracing my steps, I had little hope of finding it. With a tiny amount of hope, I reported my lost item to customer service. Perhaps, it would be found so I left my information. I called again the next morning and was told it could turn up so call towards the end of the day. This was my first encounter with Alfonso, who not only patronized me when I spoke but continued to interrupt me as I spoke. He told me he didn't have time to go back and check the safe for me but would call me back one way or another. He didn't. Again, before claiming defeat, I called to speak with a customer service manager and low and behold it was Alfonso who repeated the same lousy customer service as the day before. I am not sure why Alfonso felt the need to treat me so poorly. Is a Nordstom phone customer not important? Do I need to physically be in a store as a long time Nordstrom shopper to receive equitable customer service? read more

Today I shopped in the ladies foundations department and was very pleasantly surprised that I was in and out the door in less than 30 minutes. I had called ahead to the Cherry Creek Nordstrom to find out whether a trained fitter was on duty today. I was told that all of their foundations sales people are trained fitters. I attribute my efficient shopping trip to the training given to the sales people in this department, and the excellent service receive from Courtney. Courtney listened to what I wanted, she measured me, and brought some selections to my fitting room. I loved the look and fit of one of the styles, and bought two in different colors. I was back in my car, exiting the parking lot in 30 minutes. That has to be a record! Usually, it takes me 1-1/2 to two hours to shop for new foundations, and in the past I've done the fitting myself. I also have realized recently that the more expensive foundation garment brands - like Wacoal, Natori, or Chantelle will fit better than one of the generic brands at the less expensive big box stores. There is definitely a difference in brands. The past two times I've shopped for similar items, have used a trained fitter and it takes so much less time. So pleased with Nordstrom, with Courtney's excellent customer service, and the training they give to the employees in this dept. Similar Nordstrom shopping experiences I've had was with the cosmetics department in Cherry Creek. The selection in this store is amazing. I have always found what I needed in this Nordstrom's cosmetics dept. Thank you Nordstrom for your commitment to excellence. I'm very pleased with today's shopping experience. read more

I am disappointed to write this review as Nordstrom is by far my favorite place to shop. I have been a loyal customer for years and after relocating to Denver from the Seattle area, I have been less than pleased with the customer service at this location. Nordstrom is a company that prides itself and preaches the importance of customer service to its employees; this store obviously did not get that memo. There have been numerous instances where I have heard the women in the TBD department complaining about their jobs, ignoring customers, not greeting shoppers and being plain out rude to both myself and friends of mine. Two weeks ago I dropped off some shoes to be repaired; a standard practice I do pretty frequently. (Or did when living in Seattle and shopping at the Flagship store.) I called a week after dropping my shoes off to follow up on whether they were finished and the man on the phone noted that they had not been sent out. I called two weeks later and was put on hold several different times only to listen to music for several minutes on end and no one ever picking up the phone. (I should note that total call count was 4 until I got an answer to whether or not my shoes were done.) I will say that besides the operators, the phone etiquette at this store is completely lacking. I suggest the snotty employees here learn something from their colleagues at the Rack store just down the street, they know what customer service is and you can always count on being greeted with a smile there. read more

You have got to go see Bill to get your shoes shined. This guy is amazing and will shine your shoes for $2.50, the cheapest price you'll find in Nordstrom for sure. Make sure to tip him please. I love Nordstrom because of Bill, the shoe department people, the accessories and their people, and how pretty the store is. I'm not the designer apparel type, but I like to dress up my less TJ Maxx finds with spiffy accessories. Don't ever, ever miss their shoe sales or their accessory sales. God, I love Nordstrom. However, I'm finally getting this review down specifically for Kelly's personal shopper services, which I used about 8 months ago. I had just lost a bit of weight and needed a wardrobe overhaul. I chose few things on the website that were my style, and by the time I arrived at my appointment (which I made only 30 minutes in advance) she had picked out a TON of stuff, all of which was exactly what I wanted and none of which was above my stated budget. I could not have had a better experience, and I can't recommend her highly enough. I can't wait to go back for another appointment! (I can't remember exactly which department she works in, but at the time of my appointment it was the more casual women's area, to the left from the mall entrance on the second floor). This Nordstrom was gonna be built as a huge department store but alas the neighboring stores and resident's didn't feel like they wanted a towering department store around so we got stuck with this 2-level store. For the guys it seems like they carry either the lowest price point items like $9 sunglasses or they carry the ultra high-end brands like Versace, Brioni, Ferragamo's etc. (costing $$$$$)...... and no in-between labels (where I usually fit in). For the ladies I think it's almost the same situation either low-end Nordstrom brand or ultra high-end (I seen Valentino, Diego Dolcini, Prada, Marni, Oscar De la Renta gowns....etc.) Anyways, for me it's a hit or miss but the customer service is usually great! Oh and restrooms are always clean and the fitting rooms organized. Kind of wish they build the giant store that Nordstrom wanted to build. Oh well. I like it. David in mens clothing and store manager Yolanda (sad to see her go) are just awesome! Now for the bad. If you're like me (a male not younger than 25 or older than 55, but somewhere right in that middle ground), then there's not much of a selection for you. It seems like the store is missing an entire generation of shoppers - you've got the trendy stuff in The Rail, and the old man Facconable stuff and very little in between. He is an excellent shopper and great at looking at you once and bringing in jeans that fit on the first try! It was the best jean shopping experience ever, and I am NOT an easy fit (little waist, big caboose). Renti and Valentine are great helpers in the handbag and accessories departments. I never feel pressured to buy and always enjoy my shopping experience at Nordstrom. Oh, and Sam is great in shoes, though I've never had help in that department that was lacking. read more

I really hate trying to navigate around Cherry Creek Mall, with all the slow walkers and screaming children but I'm happy to come by and browse through Nordstrom's for a couple hours. The employees are much friendlier than Macy's and the selection and quality is overall superior as well. My last visit a couple weeks ago I came in looking for wedding shoes and the saleswomen helping me, Farida, was awesome. Very attentive, but never put on the sales pressure. Nordstrom is a fantastic place to shop. I have worked with several people at the Cherry Creek location. However, I really enjoyed working with Cyndal in handbags. She sold me my very first Kate Spade. I had a little trouble with the bag and they took it back a few months later, no questions asked! I was able to use the credit from that bag to purchase a new bag that has been wonderful! I learned at that time that Cyndal moved to lingerie. I went to see her up there and she fit me for new bras. With the decline of malls in general and the lack of traffic CC is now experiencing with the paid parking... you'd think these people would try harder to keep their jobs! Seriously if you don't walk in here with a designer bag and money falling out of your purse- no one will help you. I've felt this way for years about this store. I called every Nordstrom in Denver to find an electric blanket. Even the store in Cherry Creek and Park Meadows and Nordstrom Rack. At Cherry Creek I spoke with someone who had no idea what they were talking about. At Park Meadows I was transferred to voice mail every time I tried to find out. Finally after talking to Belmar and Colorado Blvd. stores I was told the only way to order it was at nordstromrack.com. I did that, they charged my credit card, and then I started getting emails saying your order was delayed. Finally today I get an email saying that they cannot fulfill the order. There was no information as to when I would receive a refund. Nordstrom USED TO BE a top quality retailer with exceptional service. NOT anymore. In this age of high performance electronic ordering systems and inventory management Nordstrom has failed miserably. No wonder Amazon has dominated the retail market and has become a top notch retailer. Nordstrom you are headed for bankruptcy. By the way if they do go bankrupt the buyer can get caught "holding the bag". So warning about ordering from Nordstrom. read more
