What on earth has happened to Kohl'S??? I used to shop at this location all of the time. However, my last visit wasn't that great so I hadn't been here in awhile. I had noticed the sales they were having really weren't "sales" and the quality of the clothes weren't like they had been, years ago. My visit yesterday proved my decision to not shop here anymore was definitely correct. But I had a gift card so I had to spend it. Long story short..they didn't have prices on sooo many items that I looked at throughout the store. Their price check machines were no longer in the store. And the items that were supposed to be on clearance?? Those prices were discounted maybe 15% on everything, including Christmas stuff. What a joke. They changed the entire layout of the store. I get that, BUT they probably spent a lot of money making these changes and what for? You can't even maneuver around the aisles pushing the carts around!! When I go to check out and yes, I did purchase something because I couldn't even handle the thought of having to go back to spend my gift card that I have had for a while already. I even put a few items back on the shelf before I left. This store is and was such a waste of my time and disappointment. Then to top it all off. 2 ONLY 2 cashiers are open. I got behind 3 people already in line and then while waiting and waiting, at least 6 or 7 more people got behind me...to wait. I got to the cashier and kindly asked her what had happened to this mess of a store. She didn't say anything. I said to her, "yes I realize you don't really care, it's not your problem" and I simply asked her to please write down the managers name on my receipt. Guess what? SHE WAS THE MANAGER. I said wow and you don't have anything to say??? She then said, "I do care but I can't do anything about it because it all comes from Corporate." WORD FOR WORD that is what she said. Kohls is my go to place for bras and other such shopping. I even bought my last vacuum cleaner there. I appreciate the savings, often up to 40 percent off when I use my Kohl's charge card. The addition of the Sephora is great idea and I love that. Prices that aren't marked down in some way are often higher than I think they should be but that's purely subjective. It's time to open the dressing rooms again. I hate taking bras home, trying them on and having to return ones that don't fit and get others and do it again. The store is beautifully decorated for Christmas and I haven't been inside a Kohls for some time, they have a great selection of women's clothes!!! I placed an online in store pickup order- it was ready very quickly. When I went to pick up the order the gentlemen in front of us took a loooooong time- well like 5 minutes, the lady in front of me said it was 20 minutes she was waiting. The customer service agent was super patient with him. When he was done, the lady in front of me was in and out in about 1 minute and my pickup took less than a minute and the customer service gal was super friendly and had a great attitude! I had a question on my receipt... Went to customer service/check out sales associate and brought up my concern and was treated rudely. Annette was condescending and seemed put out for having to try and help me. Annette called the floor manager and they refunded me the sales price... the sales manager, said that I lost my Kohl's cash because of the refund of the money. Annette asked me if it was worth it to lose my Kohl's cash and was really rude and embarrassed me in front of a bunch of customers. I came back to ask the name of the clerk (Annette) here and the floor manager were talking about me in front of customers and laughing. read more

In the 15 years that I gave been a customer of Kohl's they have gone down hill. Their styles have become more dowdy and unattractive even in the juniors department, their coupons are pretty much exempt from any merchandise that is not their own brand, and their customer service has become more corporate and less customer oriented especially since joining with capital one in November 2024. read more

First off, the customer service has always been great at this store and I shop here for all of my clothes. However, I was left shocked after my recent trip. Where are all the clothes??? They took out a dozen racks in the women's department. The sizing selection was awful for what they did have. I asked an employee if the lack of selection was due to Covid and she indicated "no, that it's a business decision to carry less merchandise". I don't think I've ever left the store without buying anything. So disappointed. I know this is a corporate decision and not the fault of the employees. You lost a long time customer though. Time to find somewhere else to buy clothes. read more

I want to add my appreciation with all the others who love shopping at Kohl's and especially at this store. It's been a joy and I want to tell you how much I appreciate one particular employee, "Ellie" in the Bra department. She is the essence of what Kohl's is all about. She helped me more than any employee of ANY store in Lakewood! She wasn't content just to show me the product, she took me to the dressing room and spent as long as needed to fit me properly...she was friendly, professional, and knows her product and how to treat customers. I like this place. It carries nice clothes for guys who are 30 and dont want to look like DB's or euro trash. They also carry sensible sizes, and modern fit clothing. I am a fit male and usually can't find clothes that fit because most stores carry clothing only for fat ass americans. Not so with Kohls. They have decent prices too! read more

While on a meeting on that side of the area I stopped by, I was greeted and asked if I needed any help. At first I was shopping around, then the store manager assisted me when I was having a difficult time making a choice. There was something else I needed which they were able to order and ship to my home. It arrived quickly. This guys are awesome! read more

Like any department store, they offer just about everything you will ever need (clothes, housewares, cosmetics). The layout is organized enough and rarely do you find clothes out of place, which is refreshing compared to a lot of department stores in the area. The thing I love about Kohl's is everything is always on sale, and it seems you never pay full price for anything. Have not even made it inside the store yet: I called them to ask whether they carry a specific product that I saw on their website. Was put on hold three times by different people and waited for 15 minutes, after which I hang up. Dialed a second time and the same thing happened again: being put on hold, after which someone else answered the phone and asked what they could do. I told them that I was put on hold repeatedly, after which they said "I'm sorry". Very helpful indeed. Not to waste any further time, I hang up. read more

Surprisingly nice and clean store, given the neighborhood it is located in. According to Lakewood PD, the store has been robbed several times recently. However, my wife and I have shopped here several times without any problems. read more

The lady who helped me when I picked up my online order was friendly and professional. However when I tried on my item I realized it was too big. I went to find a smaller size. I asked for help and the sales lady in that department was rude and just pointed me to a section where that particular brand was located. It was nowhere to be found. She saw me futilely searching for 15 minutes but refused to help so I went to another section of the store to find another salesperson for help. No such luck. Another example of terrible/nonexistent customer service. This is why I shop online. I will not be shopping at this Kohl's location again. read more

Mostly my experience here was great because of an employee I wanted to point out. When I asked what her name was to the woman at checkout she guessed it was Danny (she had short black hair). Anyway, she was excellent! Very friendly and knew where everything was. She helped me checkout a comforter at the kiosk which was a quick, simple process because of how good she was. When she saw I was in-store shopping she pointed me in the direction of everything else I was looking for. Fantastic customer service employee! read more

I was definitely a bit disappointed with this trip. I have purchased clothing items from this Kohls before with satisfaction but this trip I was looking for something different and shocked with what I found. I stopped in to buy a birthday present for a child, when I reached the toy section of the store it was in complete disarray. Items were scattered everywhere and there was no organization. I have NEVER been treated as poorly at ANY retail store as I was today. I went in to the store looking to exchange some boots I had gotten for my birthday that were the wrong size. I stood in the customer service line for almost an hour, just to be told they had to do it at the register. I also had an online order, and they told me I had to get back in line for it. And then the manager went directly to the woman behind me, like I was invisible. So I get my online order, I get the correct size of boots but I also found some of another brand that were the same price and thought "maybe I can exchange them." So after waiting in line at the register for 20 minutes, the woman at the register says she can't do it, and that I have to go to customer service. Not a problem since they were different boots. Now, when she rang them up on her register, they were $69.99. the other boots I wanted were $49.99 meaning I would get an in store credit (as per the manager I talked to). I walk back to customer service, wait another 20 minutes, just to have the woman say I can't exchange them because they're not the same price. I asked for my receipt back and she refused to give it to me, called me a not so nice name and threw my receipt for the original boots away (that, again, were a birthday present). I will NOT be going back to this store. Incredibly rude and unprofessional. None of the managers cared either. I walked out crying. read more

Kohls has been around for quite a few years in Colorado and I think part of their success is due to their locations. Kohls is not in tight competition with other department stores like Macy's or Penny's or Dillard's because they are not located with them in a typical mall setting. Kohls is usually a stand alone store within close distances to populated residential making it convenient to go to without the mall foot traffic or the wasting of time wandering mall stores. However, with that particular marketing technique being done which is clever, I cannot say the same for their store brands. I have found similar brands at a lesser cost at other stores including Costco and Sam's Club. There are concerns namely how they market their sale flyers because the same merchandise could be less expensive in one flyer than in another and both flyers might be current. So checking the flyers becomes critical for the Kohls' fan. The standard brands are not bad but they along with their designer brands need careful looking over especially when it comes to garment care. More and more of their ladies fashions are labeled hand wash only and they mean that for a reason.....they won't stand up to machine laundry systems no matter what gentle cycle your system has. I am an active woman, I don't want to spend my time hand washing items and rinsing and flat drying. If I have to do that kind of care, then I want a lesser cost because I have to take greater care of those clothing items. From experience I have learned not to buy the Jennifer Lopez label because they do not hold up to machine laundering. And I do careful looking over construction for sewn seams, buttons or ornamentation with additional buttons , snaps, yarns or thread for minor repairs. I have found varying consistency with additional that should come with the garment and have had to go go through quite a few garments before finding one that had the extras with the garment tags. As far as the shoes do very careful look over what appears to be leather often is not but the price is over priced for an all manmade material. Shoes should last longer than six months under normal wear and with good leather construction much longer given the proper care. Look,look,look don't settle for cute or fashionista styles those might be good in Hollywood, but this is Colorado, well made shoes, boots and sandals are a must. An experienced shopper will pass up the going stuff for what will be classic, have style and be in line with the cost. Kohlsmdoes have reasonable undergarments with good discount sales once or twice a year...stock up then and get an added Kohls bucks bonus just remember to use before they expire. Some of their sales like on the socks, hoisery, scarves and purses can bring in quite substantial savings read more

I am sad to say that while i have been a long time shopper of Kohl's because of the way i have been treated at 2 different locations it will be a long time before i go back if i ever decide to. You see what happened is the first time i found some nice pants on their clearance rack marked $10.80 so i thought great i will get them when i went to check out the sales lady ripped the price tag off and said they were $25 dollars and that they weren't on clearance I was confused more about how the lady went about it. the second time i went to Kohl's the clothing i was buying was on sale for $12.99 and the lady said no its not on sale its $20 and you can have it for i guess $15. I asked why i couldn't have the marked price and and she began to scream at me causing a scene and yelling at me with other customers and staff watching i asked for the manager as i began to say what happened the manager said she didn't have time for that and walked away. Finally without getting kohl's advertised sale price or my change back I left the store. I was encouraged to write an email to corporate letting them know but all i got was some generic scripted bs. kohl's really doesn't care. I like Kohl's generally, and this is the closest location to my house, but the store is an absolute mess! Anytime of day it looks like all of the clothes have been tossed around without care. Not enough staff in the Men's department to checkout expeditiously. Lots of items in the wrong locations, so sometimes the prices are inaccurate. Staff unwilling to give the lower price on items that are mismarked or are in the wrong place. Would be a lot better if clothes were organized by size and not just thrown on the rack. read more
