If I could leave no stars I would. The owner LANA. Is a woman I have never met. I spoke to a woman, April, I believe. And was told to bring the items in. I had spoken to her on the phone the day before. I told her what brands that they were. My boyfriend was cleaning out some shoes and business casual shirts. I knew they are not high brand. Probably Macy's. So after driving 30 minutes to get to the store. I was told to lay my things down on a bench in the middle. I said that I had my clothes and that there were high end items. James Perse, Pendleton, Eco, Alberto Makali. To name a few. Anyways. I didn't even get them out of the car. I got the men's shoes. When I came in April, said the owner said she already looked and not to worry about the other stuff. I felt so insulted. I was never even taken seriously from the moment I set foot in there. It's almost as she profiles you as you come in, whether she will meet you or not. As I was walking out I was even more insulted as the woman said, "I'm so sorry sweetie." Am I 12? This establishment needs serious revamping in treatment of clientele and policy. I actually think this place should just be shut down. I am an absolute advocate for local owned and especially women owned businesses. But this was unacceptable. I will not shop here and urge others to do the same. There are plenty of great boutiques in and around Denver. Save your $$$ & your time!!!!! read more

I set an appointment to bring in my name brand seasonal items into the store about 3 weeks prior to my consignment date. So brought in exactly that , a variety of things to this store, as assigned. For the record, Im a regular consigner at Rags in Cherry Creek which has only high end clothing. Upon arrival, I was instructed to lay all my things down (i had 20-30 items) on a bench located in the center of the store. APPARENTLY.... The owner snuck around the corner, look at my things, never said hello, and stuck away. 25 minutes later after I browsed the store and purchased a 250.00 real fur vest, I asked if my things were getting reviewed soon. To which was told the owner had looked and said she was not interested. I never saw ANYONE Look at my items while I was there things when I was there in the tiny Showroom. Thanks magical disappointing disappointing owner for being rude! read more

Nice looking store, but they grossly undervalue clothes that are eventually marked up an astronomical percentage. Came in with $200 worth of stuff I bought three months ago (none of which had been worn), and was offered $10 total. Keep in mind I had to schedule an appointment and wait a couple weeks to find this out. My patience costs more than that. read more

Considering that you have to call to book a selling appointment vs booking online or even via text, they have limited availability for appointments, and they are fairly picky, I wouldn't say this shop is worth your time as a seller. Probably fine as a shopper but I would say the juice isn't worth the squeeze to sell. read more

This is the worst place to sell your things! I made an appointment and waited about a month for the appointment, brought in loads of stuff, and had to place on sort of a couch, in the middle of the room. She spent hours looking, but trying to intimidate with the way she handled my things, discussed the brands. Being there in the middle of the store, sucks anyway. Lana took lots of my linens, designer clothes, vintage housewares, jewelry and what I later found out was all of my new cashmere shawls, wraps, and scarves, and 2 cashmere blankets were buried in the piles. As she sorted, I removed my boxes and bags to my car, trusting this woman. She was condescending, and sneaky, in my opinion. My mistake was bringing so much and not writing down the many items she bought - I really thought that the cashmere was removed to my car. I am an organized seller on Poshmark with a really high rating. No complaints with over 600 items sold in a year. She offered me so little for the items, but I had started a new job, was dialing back my online sales and just needed to clear out inventory. so even though, I accepted a low offer, I wouldn't have to have the hassle of Poshmark while starting a new job, was my naive thought. I believe she stole these 34 pieces. I have called twice with no return call. Please learn from my mistakes!!!!! As I waited for her to look through my things, I wandered the store and was stunned by the prices charged. What an intimidating attitude she has as she looks at your things, and that changes when you want to buy. Really it's criminal. I wouldn't have written this review, if she had called back and admitted it and tried to make it right. read more

My honey's the queen of consignment shopping. Every time she's lookin' like a model in a new outfit I discover that she picked it up at Mercer Place for a pittance. A couple of years ago I started going there on my own; shoppin', of course, for her. And every time I go I find something I know she'll love. This is a high-end and designer 2nd hand goods store, where you'll pay 1/2 or even 1/4 (or less) of what you'd have to pay for this kind of clothing new--and they only carry new-looking outfits. For the holidays I got her an appetizer gift of a fitted velvet-y spandex-y pull-over turtle neck top that's hot hot hot. And what did this trinket cost me, at their discounted, already marked down price? Just $18. = Deal of the century. You rock, Mercer Place! read more

The person who decides whether or not she is interested in your items couldn't be more rude and condescending. I'm sure they get lots of calls to sell...however, as a resale store you might think they would be a bit nicer. Maybe they don't know what it is they do there...it's not Bergdorf's...and the inventory is mostly suited for the elderly from the suburbs. read more

I will keep it simple and straight to the point. Do not come in here because they don't like "our kind of people' unless you come with a "Carlton" disposition. My team was doing and event/favor/exposure for Mercer Place and it seems that once they found out the team was "not one of them", things went left. Very subliminal yet obvious comments towards my team and hurried us out. Unprofessional, Lack Of People Skills and Plain Rude. I will say that the place is Very Well Put Together, Nice Discount System, Great Finds, Great Prices, yet without the right people running or working at your business, its going nowhere. I think this place can be a 5 star if you are above 40 yoa. I could not find anything I liked in here. Well I did find some cute boots but they wanted $200, I was like $200 used boots, umm me thinks not I can go to Macy's and get a new pair for that. Another turn off about this place for me was their price scheduling. The clothes are priced then based on the color of sticker on the tag there is a percentage off of the price. I kept having to look at the price, find the sticker, check the sticker color to % off chart on the wall then do the math on how much that item would cost me. It took me like 3 minutes for each piece of clothing. I prefer just looking at the tag see how much it will cost and either saying yes or no. They make it a bit complicated. On an up note the ladies that work there are super nice and will help you with anything you might need. read more

Mercer Place is by far the best consignment shop in Denver! The selection of clothing is always current, clean, and priced fairly. In addition to clothing, there is a variety of accessories to choose from (fabulous jewelry, purses, shoes, etc). Oh yeah...she has added some great household items, too! Not only is Mercer Place a great place to purchase consigned clothing, but it is the fairest place to sell your clothing. I love that I can get instant cash for my clothing when I bring it in. Mercer Place looks like it would be filled with 90's sunflower cast off dresses...but it's not! The place is really nice inside, and has clothes for all sizes of women, some of them are even in style. They are a used clothes place and their prices are decided on a funky color scale....by percentages off. It is weird, but I have found if you ask for more of a discount you will get it. You do have to remember the color dot/percentage off thing, but hey, I like a challenge. Both Lana, the owner, and her wonderful employee Jill are a pleasure to hang out with. I've found some really great pieces here. A jacket that has cool structure, some amazing jewelry and a pair of silver Valentino shoes (I paid full price for the same shoes in red at Nordstrom and got the silver ones here at a quarter of the price). That's the fun part of shopping here, hunting for truly unique pieces. Just picked up a J Crew sweater today with a great fair isle print for $15! This is also my favorite place to consign. They are fair and buy items outright (which is so nice). Love the ladies here too. They make shopping and selling fun. They've always been friendly and helpful with second opinions... truthful & won't try to sell me something that doesn't look great on me. That's something I appreciate when shopping. After being royally turned-off of Buffalo Exchange, I decided to give this place a go. WOW, all I can say is what an amazing little boutique. The saleslady was so friendly, and was very honest with her opinion on clothes I was trying on. I got a beautiful Tahari blouse here for $30 - and I almost bought the softest Michael Kors sweater if not for the size. This store is amazing, and it trumps buffalo exchange by miles. The clothing is high-end, and everything is clean and in VERY good condition. Not only that, but the store is very organized and just very relaxing. I have shopped at Mercer Place for many years. The clothes are very high quality and attractive. The women who work there are extremely helpful and, best of all, truthful about whether you look good in an outfit. They also have great shoes purses and jewelry. A couple of reviews have mentioned that the clothes are for older customers, but both of my daughters have shopped here with me, very happily. As for price, you get what you pay for! Lana's store is the best. Many consignment stores come and go, but she has lasted a long time. Partially because her merchandise is top notch--you can routinely find Double D Ranchwear, Chanel, and other notable designers there at very fair prices. If you're looking for so-so brands and average quality, you will be disappointed because she only carries the best. I've gotten some incredible pieces there. She always has specials and discounts. I always come here when shopping for new clothes, even before hitting the mall or other vintage stores. It all comes down to whoever does their buying- they have great taste! I would say this shop caters to the classy/East Coast/stylish woman, but you can also find some more funky and flashy things here too. I browse everything here, but have especially found luck in the dresses, coats, blouses, shoes, and Men's department. They also have some beautiful jewelry, cute belts and purses, and lots of little home accessories. Everything is reasonably priced, especially if you get something on sale, everything is clean and in good or excellent condition, and the ladies behind the counter are always friendly, not pushy, interested in fashion, and funny. The outside of this place and the window displays look sorta pedestrian, but trust me, they plenty of gorgeous, current items inside. Even though we're in the midst of construction season and Broadway has been torn to shreds, Mercer Place at 1388 S Broadway is absolutely worth braving the congestion. The selection was the best of any store I shopped at this trip and the prices were phenomenal. How phenomenal? I found a pair of Nanette Lepore black dress pants for $10. Everything in the store was on sale. The dresses were beautiful, the shoes had me drooling, and the atmosphere was that of a posh department store. I didn't want to leave. If I didn't already have a job, I would be begging for one here. Mercer is a must-see. Best spots were of course those Nanette Lepore pants, Gucci horsebit strappy stilettos, a Betsy Johnson cocktail dress and a Dolce and Gabanna floral blazer. I could go on and on. read more
