Today really reinforced to me why I shop at Nordstrom's. I returned two pairs of shoes that DD and I had bought. On the first day each of us wore them we came home with red marks and sad feet. No questions asked. Then I went over to the Clinique counter and bought some face wash and toner for other DD, psyched to get a really good free gift - and lo and behold - sales person also gave me a FREE full size facial scrub for her. This 5 star rating is for Aleena (I might have misspelled her name) but she is an African American girl who works in the lingerie department. I was literally bullied by another employee to the point of tears because she kept insisting that I didn't know my size and that I should let her measure me. (absolutely not!) Then she stated that I really shouldn't be wearing bras with any type of padding because I am already 'full' up top... She was so rude, and it made me livid. Fortunately enough I held it together. She totally read me wrong. I only shop at Nordstrom's and Dillards for bras...and have consistently for the last several years. So I KNOW my size. Plus I've been fitted before in a Nordstrom's in TX. Along came Aleena and she saved the day. Sure enough I was the size I said I was and I had her come and check my bra (fit) personally in the dressing room. Just because she was so kind I purchased 2 more items. It doesn't cost anything to be nice to a customer. I'm so glad that Aleena chimed in before I had the chance to walk out the store and miss a good purchase. read more

To be a company that prides itself on "exceeding expectation and the best service" this was by far the worst customer experience I've ever received. I was looking to purchase a couple pairs of Cole Haan's for spring, but I was highly disappointed. Not ONE of the FOUR shoe associates even acknowledge my party of two. One was on the phone helping a client (understandable), but the other three (two females and one male) were chatting and leaning on/against the cash wrap. I was not greeted until (15 minutes later) the young man on the phone was finished with his customer. What ever happened to teamwork? In the end I decided not to purchase anything and he decided not to even bother trying on the Ferragamo's that interested him. I visited this store with my girlfriend, who was in search of a leather jacket. There were many choices from high-end brands and she ultimately found the jacket she was looking for. The main reason why I write this post, however, is to extol the excellent service that we received. My first experience at the [new] Cherry Hill, NJ Nordstrom department store was nothing less than fabulous! I occaisionally shop at the King of Prussia store, but was running errands in NJ and wanted to stop in for a "visit". Nancy, in the men's department, was a tremendous help with finding the correctly sized and fit shirt for me - even on the 50% off rack! She was more than happy to research other stores for another size and have the item shipped to me free of charge! Nancy was always pleasant without the pressure of a pushy / clingy sales person. That's a ton of service for a half price shirt in my book! Everyone I have ever come into contact with at Nordstrom's has been friendly, pleasant, accomodating and courteous. It's a NEW store, so you know it's nice. Pricing is over the top. They don't carry alot of choices, merch. The King of Prussia Mall has more. Shoe dept. is really sweet. Woman's clothing not so much, well if your top heavy it isn't. When they first opened the Lingere dept. could assist me and had many things for me. 2 yrs later I have to order things. If your sm-med framed female and teenaged - 20's it's cool. The womens dept for professionals is very high priced. But then if your carry credit cards or high income you won't sweat it. read more

Yesterday I got my makeup done for my bridal shower by Jaya at the NARS counter and she was wonderful. My makeup looked super natural and awesome. Overall though this Nordstrom is small and their women's section doesn't have a big selection. I scheduled an appointment with a personal stylist and she didn't really "get" my style. This year, today actually, it was to purchase my second pair of Toms -- and they were on sale! The gentleman who helped me -- Jason -- was amazing. Almost every time I've shopped here, it's been a pleasure. Only once in the children's shoe section was I not asked or help. Otherwise, there's always a friendly face to greet you while you shop. I've also had some fun using the free personal shopping service. Don't be afraid to use this service. I've found some great pieces that I wouldn't have necessarily selected on my own, and it cuts the browsing time way down. Danielle did some personal shopping for me. When I came in recently, she helped me without an appointment. Our styles are similar, young yet mature and edgy. If you like being pampered, then it's for you. Although Nordstrom can be pretty expensive, they guarantee every piece. Save your receipts. I knicked one of my shoes vinyl heel. They're going to replace the shoe. If anything you purchase becomes damaged, most of the time you'll be reimbursed with proof of purchase. This is my go to store because I love the service. I love going to this location compared to the one in KOP. The staff here are more helpful, friendlier and more attentive. They carry more items in store and if not, the staff, especially my shopper, help you locate it for you and ship it fast! Awful experience. I received a gift from Nordstrom for Christmas, however I already have 2 very similar coats, both purchased from Nordstrom online. The Canada Good coat still had the tags on it from Nordstrom when I went to return it, but I was told that the return policy did not apply to this item and it was not returnable. The women behind the counter told me that the company's return policy did not allow for the return of designer items. THis was not listed on the web site, the site said nothing about designer brands. When I mentioned this to the worker she said that it is her discretion based of the appearance of the customer if they would accept a return. "Based of the appearance of the customer" sounds discriminatory to me. What is the cut off for the appearance of the customer? At the time I was standing in front of the worker I was wearing my Canada Goose coat, Burks Brotehrs button down, Jcrew jeans, and Ugg boots, collectively 3k in clothing, my question is if I looked like I wasn't an actual customer who does? My guess is it had to do with me being gay, from the moment I walked up to this woman she had a clear issue with me even before we had spoken. A policy based off how someone looks is degusting and needs to be done a way with. I will not be returning to Nordstrom, I will begin shopping at Niemann Marcus instead. In a world of dying retail offending someone who is spending money in your store should be treated well. read more

Grab lunch. Grab shoes. Grab a Jo Malone candle. The best part of the trip, regardless of my level of retail therapy is lunch at the cafe. The chocolate cupcake is TO DIE for! And so is the chicken mozzarella ciabatta. Alan is always welcoming at the register and it feels like home. Shopping is more hit or miss. If i'm flush with cash, i live this place. This is a pretty normal Nordstrom as far as they go. There is a wide selection of designer goods that are high-end, but not so high-end that I cringe to look at them. Especially good is the Nordstrom shoe section, which sprawling and full of low shelves that make it easy to spot the perfect pair from across the aisle. The hallmark of Nordstrom is the great customer service and this location is definitely chock-full of helpful salespeople (one even filled a gift-wrapped box with sample colognes for me to give to my boyfriend). read more

Been a Nordies cardholder for 20 years. Looks like I'll be closing my account and giving my business to other stores. I spend a lot each month at this store but no more. 3x in the past month they are out of stock of everything I want in the beauty section. Today I had it. I went in for 6 items from 5 different beauty lines and they only had one item of the 6!!! They never have any inventory in stock. Not bc the items are popular,but because their care and service has gone way down. The best part? For the one item I did buy, they had no bags. That's right. No bags. All out. No one offered to help. I had to ask 2x for assistance. Avoid the beauty department. It's sad as I used to love this store. read more

Mixed feelings about this store. I can always find something to purchase it's just trying to find an associate to help you. Yesterday a friend of mine were in the cosmetics area of the store, we were trying to find a foundation for my friend. Some time had gone by and no one had asked us for help, no big deal it was light staff on a Monday morning. A few minutes later after standing @ the NARS counter an Asian woman who works in the department asked my friend and I if we worked there, mind you we were dressed in street clothes. When we told her that we were customers, she simply turned around to complete her task, without checking on us again. After 5 more minutes we decided to leave w/out making a purchase. This is the second time I have been in this particular Nordstrom and received less than stellar service. I think in the future I will be going to the store in DE or king of Prussia instead. read more

I adore this Nordstrom's! I find it even better than the one at KOP, as it is cleaner and just overall a much nicer atmosphere. It has such an amazing selection, and the staff is very helpful and attentive without being overbearing or pushy. I come here for James Perse and of course their fabulous selection of True Religion jeans. I don't mind spending a pretty penny on TRs since they fit like a dream and last forever. They offer jean tailoring, which is a nice option as well, as True Religions can run a bit long sometimes. Their dressing rooms are also fabulous. They are spacious and have a platform with a three-way mirror, which any girl knows is crucial to making sure you get the whole "look" of the outfit. The rooms are big enough that you can take in a friend without feeling cramped. Once I found a stray pin on the platform, but just keep your eyes peeled and you'll be safe. I love that I can ask the sales associates their opinion on the clothes and know that they'll give me an honest answer each time. They will nicely tell you if something doesn't look the best, and will offer you other options that might fare better. Between their opinions and my own intuition, I have never regretted any purchase. The shoe selection is to die for! I always love being escorted behind the gray curtains at during their sales. The best shoes are always hidden back there! The mens and cosmetics departments are fab as well. I often stop buy to purchase myself a fedora, sunglasses, or a lip gloss and am always treated promptly and with grace. This is unusual for a 22-year-old in her sweats! They have never once made me feel as though I wasn't worthy to shop there in my sandals and running shorts. This is a fabulous addition to the Cherry Hill Mall, and one that I will continue to frequent. read more

I went to Nordstrom to end my bad attitude about bra shopping. I always do the "fitting" in other stores and have been told I am like 5 different sizes. I was lucky enough to have Dee help me in my quest for well controlled girls, and intact self esteem. We went in a dressing room, I popped my top, she measured and came back with about 10 bras in my hard-to-find size. To say it was amazing is an understatement. I was in and out in 30 minutes with three beautiful (yet pricey) bras. In full disclosure, I am not bashful... but the consultant is in the dressing room with you, and quite literally puts you in the bras. If you are bashful, you might want to let them know before you get started. But it was certainly worth it and the twins have never been happier. read more

Ladies - Nordstrom offers one of the best bra fittings Ive experienced so far. The don't do "vanity sizing" as other popular franchise boutique business do, they don't push memory foam padding to get you up to that vanity sizing; its a real fitting with real suggestions tailored to help you look your best! Nordstrom has always offered the best customer service, and for utilitarian items (athletic wear, cosmetics & skin care, lingerie & under garments) they are actually affordable. Love it here. I specifically come here when I need a new purse or to get my MAC make up (the actual MAC store in the mall has the rudest employees). The ladies and men who work at the Nordstrom MAC counter are beyond awesome and super sweet. I always get great customer service and my make up looks flawless. They pick out great shades that match my face and I always buy what they suggest because it works. I love coming here because afterwards their employees having me feeling great about myself. These MAC counter employees should be the ones working in the real MAC store. read more

I bought a Michele watch a couple years ago, one which I still absolutely love and don't want to part with. The face had cracked and I wanted to see if it could be fixed, but also didn't want to pay a crazy amount of money for it. I was in town visiting my parents so I didn't have any of my paperwork with me, but Q went above and beyond to help me out, looking through previous years of transactions to find this particular one. Not only did she locate it, but she was able to return my cracked watch and purchase a new one from a different location. She even called to make sure that it was the exact one before I gave my old one back to her. Q exemplifies what excellent customer service could be, yet unfortunately we see so little of it any more these days. I have already received my brand new watch and I couldn't be happier. Let me start by saying this was my first time here at the Nordstrom location at cherry hill ,I stopped in as soon as they opened with a friend we were looking in the makeup section at the Nars counter for a foundation for my self and an Asian employee says to us you work here ? Mind u we both had t shirts and jeans on and we said no, she said oh we open ? They cater to my bra needs, which can be a bit challenging for me. I don't have to order, I can always find my size right in the store, and sometimes on sale. The shoe dept is amazing. although sometimes ordering online is best for that part. This store can be very intimidating, making people think it's overpriced. When you actually look on the racks, it's not that bad. especially when they have sales. At least you know your clothing will be of great quality. read more

I went in for a bra fitting and was very pleased with the service I received. I was measured in the dressing room and was surprised to learn I was wearing the wrong size bra! While I stood there in shock my consultant brought back several different styles and colors in my correct size. The consultant was so nice and made me feel comfortable, which was super since I was topless! In the end I purchased 4 bras and the total came to just under $200, which I found to be very reasonable. I definitely recommend this Nordstrom to anyone in need of a bra. read more

Fairly new department store, high end, not my Saks, but has nice selection, plus nice Kiehl's section.It's not as big as KOP, but it'll do..Still very nice store. My brother came home from NY, we went w-my parents to buy some clothing for his Beach wedding in Nov. Picked up some nice Tropical shirts for my dad, high end flip flops, my mom got nice blouse , all we need to get nice bottom for her They didn't have. But nice place. Solid selection of quality merchandise. I wish that the customer service was as quality as the merchandise. I've been searching for a good few weeks on the perfect pair of boots this season and after many online reviews, I found a pair of boots that fit my needs that just happened to be in stock at this Nordstrom location. I found them, and eagerly looked for a salesperson to help me locate my size. Sadly, this took about 10 minutes. I actually wandered around the shoe section for 10 minutes because there was no salesperson to be found. I ended up standing in line at the register and asking someone there to grab my size. The woman who "assisted" me was short, not at all attentive, and acted as if she wanted to be anywhere but helping me find boots. After bringing me the color and size I requested, she disappeared again. I sat disgruntled because I wanted to make the purchase and yet again... another 10ish minutes go by and this woman is nowhere to be found. Additionally, there is no one at the register. All I wanted to do was make a damn purchase. Just as I was ready to saw screw it and just order the boots online, the salesperson reappeared. It shouldn't be that difficult, Nordstrom shoe department. Get your act together. I will NOT be back spending money there and allowing some slug of a salesperson to receive credit for a sale that she did absolutely nothing for. It was by far one of the most frustrating shopping experiences that I've ever had there. read more

Nordstrom is notably nicer than other department stores. From the layout, to the dressing rooms, they go all out. The sales people are great, and the overall customer service is top notch. If you have a Nordstrom card all alterations are free (in the sense that you are reimbursed on a giftcard). But if you purchase anything from the store (a dress, a suit), they will steam/press it at any time for you. I recently purchased a dress and there was a snag on it, so they shipped me a brand new one to my house at no cost. read more
