The staff is always very friendly when I've stopped in, and the store always looks great! If you are in need of a new outfit or would rather try something before buying (instead of the guess and check with online shopping) then you should absolutely stop by DFTI. The selection of clothes is very trendy, and affordable. There's always a good selection of sizes too! Stopped in here today on a recommendation from someone when I mentioned I was looking for a dress to wear to a wedding in May. This store is very trendy, almost to a fault as every piece seemed very repetitive. Everything on the racks promised lots of skin would be showing -- either sleeveless styles, off-shoulder styles, a few very thin strappy styles, and mostly lots of midriff baring styles. I felt very out of place being in my 30s and having a more conservative style -- requiring at least a short sleeve on pretty much everything I wear and not showing a lot of skin overall unless it's super hot outside. I'm clearly not the intended market for this store. If you're into the latest trends, absolutely stop in as you will not be disappointed with the plethora of colors and prints on these clothes. It just wasn't for me. I will also say that the interior of the store is super spacious -- doesn't feel like your typical small Philly boutique at all -- and the staff girls were nice and greeted me as I came in and left. read more

Update for 2020 The new store is beautiful and packed with more gorgeous items than ever. Always so fun shopping here- the owner and staff are so friendly and welcoming. Beautiful bright space full of affordable and wearable pieces. I shop here for my daughters, my nieces and my son's girlfriend. I always find a few cute things for me too. Great selection from T-shirts to formal gowns. The faux fur jackets are always a standout. I can't possibly walk in here without falling in love with something. DFTI boutique is a gem of cutting edge seasonal fashions at affordable price points! Fantastic fun summer prints in dresses, maxi's, rompers and more. Perfectly displayed pieces, and accessories. Well lit dressing rooms, in clean unique city space. The owner, Ashley, is extremely helpful and genuinely understands the female form. She knows what flatters each individual. I'm a shorter curvier 5'3" and she showed me pieces that would truly enhance me. A taller, thinner 5'7" client was also shopping and the owner helped her find the perfect vacation looks that highlighted her longer lines. You have to know the pieces you sell and Ashley is on it. Alright this place is fabulous. I came in when the owner, Ashley, was working and she instantly greeted me and helped me find two beautiful dresses (will post pics eventually) for $85 each. These floor-length beauties would have been $200 each elsewhere. There were probably ten to fifteen other guests shopping in this small boutique but Ashley flawlessly made each person feel served and recognized. She helped me try on each dress and was super honest about the sizing and fits. I bought both.. oops? *note: the return policy is for store credit only* I will say that I have been in here two other times and have had difficulty finding smaller sizes in the dresses because they get taken so quickly. I suggest stopping by frequently because they put out new items throughout the week. As others have mentioned, everything I found was under $100. The clothes feel of great quality as well. I would suggest following their Instagram to get an idea of what they have out. Will be returning! read more

I love DFTI! 1. It's a super affordable boutique. High quality clothes that are exclusive enough that you're not going to be running into another woman wearing the same garment. 2. Great selection. I was home to visit a few weeks ago from VA Beach and have been SO excited to come to DFTI. I follow them on Instagram and was looking forward to doing some serious spring shopping here. I was in the dressing room with a few items during my visit. The woman working asks from behind the curtain if I had tried on a certain dress yet and I said no. She said "okay well if you don't want it someone else does" and walked away. Not only is this rude to say as I'm INSIDE the fitting room, but made me not want to try anything else on as a paying customer. As I'm getting dressed, the woman comes back not even a minute later before I had my clothes back on to ask if I tried it yet. I told her I wasn't going to get it and she asked why (again, through the curtain while I'm getting dressed which is uncomfortable trying to have a conversation). I told her it's because as I'm in the fitting room she is coming up to me asking for the item for someone else BEFORE I even tried the dress on yet. She didn't reply and walked away. The woman did try to apologize with some excuse as I walked out the door. After I wrote my review about this experience on Facebook, the owner replied with an extremely rude response. She then found my PERSONAL Instagram and direct messaged me for HOURS harassing me about taking down my review. The level of unprofessionalism from such a "pristine" boutique is appalling and they should be embarrassed about how they treat their customers. read more

Have walked by here many times but keep catching it closed, but have drooled over the gorgeous dresses and jewelry from the window. Today I was able to peek in and am so happy I did! Everything is really affordable and really fashionable. They have a good range of items that could fit short and tall people and different body types. The outfits are somewhat color categorized with great maxis, cut out dresses, crop tops, rompers, and shorts. Great pieces for weddings, going out, and just day time wear. I just had the worst customer service experience here. It was awful and I can never go back. I was trying a bunch of clothes on and a zipper got stuck while I was trying on a particular piece. My best friend tried to help me but it quickly became apparent the zipper was broken beforehand. I called the Owner over to help. She approached me, slapped her hands by her side and condescendingly said "The zipper is broken. The only way to get it off is to do this" And she rips the zipper completely breaking it and jerking my entire body! I was appalled. She then stomps off and doesn't say a word to me. No "I'm sorry about this" or "don't worry about it". Nothing. I felt awkward and honestly not sure what to do after that. As we were walking out she wouldn't even look at us, so I said "I'm sorry about that. I just put it back". She replies with "Ok", and keeps walking. Truth be told, had she been nicer or offered me the romper at a lower price, I would have bought it, among other things. But she scampered off in a tantrum after completely ripping the outfit while I was in it! So unprofessional and frankly really immature. After telling my story to several people, I've gotten the same reaction about her. Enter at your own risk. read more
