I waited 20 minutes before someone acknowledge me. The shoe department was not busy with one guest being helped by an associate and no additional sale person present. I normally receive good service and it may very well been a transition period of overlapping shifts so I won't hold them to this recent experience when I've received good service in the past. read more

Nice and friendly place to shop especially staff who are work in the Oder pick-up. Also Annie D. In Alteration is the best. I love to shop there due to great staff. read more

My mom and myself went to La Mer counter at Nordstrom this past weekend. I have always bought things from Nora and she is fabulous! Unfortunately, Nora was off Sunday and we had Ani (I think that was her name - I was there around 3 pm). She was not very helpful and was quite unfriendly. 5 stars for Nora and 0 star for Ani. From now on, I will only buy La Mer cosmetics from Nora. read more

I love Nordstrom products but the customer service in the women's department at this location is just not that enticing...as a matter of fact, some of the worker's there have made shopping such a terrible experience that I've switched over to online shopping just to avoid the hassle of dealing with them. I still love their products with their competitive pricing policies and great sales, but this location just slacks in the customer service arena. read more

I love Nordstrom and never had any problem. Unfortunately I meet Sara in Customer Service. She is the worst. You need to her people with interpersonal skill to help with customer service. read more

Who doesn't love shopping at Nordstorm? Great place to shop! Whenever at the Mall its a must stop by! Staff are great here! Things are in their places and neat! read more

This Nordstrom isn't always my favorite in customer service but yesterday's trip most definitely made it special. I went in looking for a specific type bb cream from Lancôme due to them not selling it at Sephora anymore. I felt super weird just leaving with samples, my first time not actually purchasing anything. Crazy. Anyway a lovely girl helped me out by the name of Fiona. She made me feel so welcomed & was so very helpful! I wish each employee was as sweet & professional as her! She took the time to show me what I originally had come in for as well as several other products that piqued my interest. She had the most amazing skin so of course I had to ask what she used. Answered all my questions without being bothered by them. So amazing! So far I am loving everything! Will be giving it at least a full week then will definitely be purchasing the serum & foundation at least if the other ones don't pan out. Thank you so much Fiona! You're a rockstar! Hope you have a wonderful time @ Ali Wong's show (; read more

I recently discover the brand diptyque and I fell in love with their scents. I love perfume but they all made me have headaches, not with this brand. I went to their store in Beverly Hills but found it overwhelming and not as "helpful" as I would like, but when I come to my fav store nordy, I found myself being welcomed and greet in the most friendly and nicest way. Caitlyn Hightower helped me out to pick out my fragrance and gave me different things to go try at home. You know it's hard to find a person won't give you that "I pity you that you are getting sample from me face" I will certainly come back and I am so glad I stopped by today, it's the best treat for myself! If you want to get a gift for your friends and make them smile, get their candle, it's expensive but it's the nicest smell and they last. Everything there is out of this world good and you know they put a lot of thoughts into their products, when someone got a gift like that, I am sure you will put a smile on their cute faces! They have the mini ones which are great and their popular ones includes Baies (very berry, rose black currant) smell and my fav is the figuier (fig, woody). Love love! read more

Their alterations department is so horrible. Long story short. I had to take my dress back 3 times bc they couldn't get it right. The lead in the department (I believe her name is Annie) is very rude and no matter how I explained what I wanted done she WOULD NOT listen and instead would say something unrelated to what I was asking them to do. I was kept waiting for 45 minutes until I finally lost it and went back in my dressing room to take the dress off and my poor boyfriend stepped in to defuse the situation and she told him 'no no I can do what she asked but she's already taking the dress off sooooo...' and then when he said 'well she's been in here for 45 minutes and you guys weren't able to help her' she started making excuses about how she wasn't the person who made the first set of alternations. No accountability, no attempt to make it right. Not to mention Annie (if that's her name) was the person who performed the second set of alterations AND SHE RUINED THE DRESS. I'm well-endowed in the chest area, she widened the straps on my dress so much that my girls are on full display and there's nothing I can do, the wedding is next week and I'm SOL. I'm never getting alterations done at this location ever again read more

The sales help was very attentive but not too pushy. They made themselves available and allowed me to browse at my leisure. Then when I was ready to try on clothes they would take care of alternative sizing and offer suggestions based on my needs. read more

Aaaaaaaah..... (think biiig contented sigh) just fresh from their half yearly sale I have nuthin but good stuff to say about my favorite big department store. I hate spending an hour going through rack after rack of clothing and coming up unfulfilled and empty - but I can always satisfy my inner material girl here in under 20 minutes - without the monetary trauma I experience at Neiman's. Nordstrom service is also generally awesome (sales people who check up on you even in the middle of the sale!) And just like Oprah said (and I don't even worship at her altar), I got the best bra fitting at Nordstroms evah. read more

One of the last department stores from the original Santa Anita Mall. Huge store, ton of selection. Expensive prices. The service is top notch. Anything wrong with your item, they will help you fix or exchange it for you. BEST SERVICE EVER! read more

I wish I could shop here for EVERYTHING, but sadly I cannot afford to. That being said, their half-yearly sales are GREAT as is their return policy. We went in tonight to buy presents for my mom and had the nicest salesperson in the activewear section who really made our shopping experience wonderful, even wrapped the gifts for us. I love Nordstrom's! read more

Stellar restroom facilities. No phone service in the restroom at all though. This is good because people talking on the phone on a public toilet is annoying, but bad because I can't check facebook or play games while I'm in there. read more

I love this nordstrom it's my go to nordstrom. It's the perfect size not to big and not to small! I like how they carry all of the more higher end name brands then any other nordstrom.. Most of all the employees are really sweet! I feel that they do need to work on the customer service in the shoe dept! Other then that I love it! read more

My friend and I had our makeup done by Lucena with Nars makeup and loved every second of the experience. My review is targeted towards the women's section in front of Topshop (Topshop service is consistently pleasant) and the one aside of it. I'm a regular customer at this Nordstrom because it's the nearest to me. I have purchased numerous of time in these two sections but I finally felt that it is necessary to write a review about their customer service in these two sections. Regularly I am encountered with condescending employees with unnecessary remarks. I like the clothing there and love to browse around but lately I have been avoiding that areas because of the unpleasant experiences I've had. I should no longer tolerate that if I am spending my money. I've experienced a friendlier and more pleasant customer service at other Nordstroms. Recruiters for this Nordstrom should do a better job at hiring. read more

They have great customer service. Nita always helps me out with anything, she is able to find things they don't have in stock locally.

I LOVE this place. Yes, granted the prices are pretty high, buuut the customer service is incredible, there is free warranty on basically everything, and the return policy is great. 1st example: I bought a Michael Kors watch on their website and it wasn't the one I had wanted. The return/exchange policy stated that I will not be able to exchange in stores but had to do it online and there was a fee for this which I did not want to pay. I figured that Nordstrom probably carried the same watch and when I brought it in, they happily exchanged the watch for me without even asking if I had bought it from them! I was pretty shocked as to how flexible they were. 2nd example: I purchased a pair of sunglasses here which I had worn for maybe 2 months. I then (of course) would purchase another pair and abandon these. 4 months later as I was cleaning my car and found my old pair of sunglasses, I thought maybe I would try to exchange it since it was just there collecting dust.. plus I had paid a pretty hefty amount for them. I had already figured they wouldn't let me since it did have a few scratches plus this was bought 4 months ago, but they did! The lady had to call and ask permission from her manager though but she allowed the authorization. I totally lucked out! One small dislike though, the handbag department I'm pretty whatevers about.. the sales people there always try to sell me these ugly handbags and since they work off of commission, can get pushy. I usually end up elsewhere for bags. Nordstroms doesn't carry a big variety in this department. read more

I have been going to this Nordstrom since they opened long ago after Buffum's closed. I've always been impressed with Nordstrom because of their famous customer service and their products. Anyway, I was quite impressed with the customer service I recently received from Shivani P. (dept. manager) in the designer handbags department ... impressed enough for me to write a review on Yelp. She epitomizes what Nordstrom is about when it comes to customer service. I really felt special when she personally helped me with a Chloe Marcie Handbag delima. She was very reassuring, she contacted me as soon as she had the handbag and she handled the whole situation with patience and was very pleasant and thorough. Thank you, Shivani for being such a gracious S.A. and thank you Nordstrom/Arcadia for having such a wonderful staff as part of your team. I shall always be a fan of and will continue to shop at Nordstrom. read more

I had the BEST experience I have ever had at Nordstrom yesterday. I went in just to take care of some paperwork and ended up buying a few items.. Thanks for Nikki! She was beyond helpful and SO nice! It is such a blessing to finally have a salesperson at Nordstrom who actually cares and is honestly helpful! I used to frequent the Brea location. But now, I will definitely only go to this location and only deal with Nikki! She is definitely the best!! Thanks to her I left happy and confident with my purchases. read more

Ahhhhh Sunday asian mall goers!!!! Eeps!

Love this location. Everyone is always helpful and never get hassled with returns. The sales always bring me back cause I love sperrys!! Nordstrom products alone are good quality as well so I don't have to keep buying the same shirt over and over again and they don't get ruined in the wash. read more

My go to store for holiday and birthday shopping. Whenever I come here I know I will find something. They have a great selection of styles and products as well as pretty good customer service. My favorite part of the store is their bags and makeup section. They all my fav brands in the latest styles in Chloe, Rebecca Minkoff, and Kate Spade. I like the fact that I can always find a salesperson to assist me. Not like a Macy's where you have to hunt them down some times. Their makeup section carries all the brands you can possibly think of. The staff is very knowledgeable about the products they are selling and don't just tell you lies to buy the products. They are really professional and helpful. Just came back from a major shopping spree and finished all my holiday shopping in one visit. read more

This review is solely for the Manager @ Jo Malone London, Veronica Martijena! Please pass along my kind words to her, if possible! I had two negative experiences at JML in Brea (closest Nordstrom location to me/see my Nordstrom Brea review), and I often frequent Arcadia since my bf lives here, so I decided to come here instead for my exchange because I was left feeling dissatisfied both times at Brea. Veronica was the only SA there and I explained to her that I didn't "love" my purchase because the previous SA at another location wasn't very friendly. She understood and apologized on her behalf and assisted me in finding a new item/fragrance. I ended up with two large bottles and she wrapped them in JML signature boxes and gift bag! She made me feel extremely luxurious and more than happy with my purchase! She was so helpful and patient and so understanding of customer's needs. I've never had an "excellent" customer service at Nordstrom until I came across her (other times weren't bad but just not excellent). I returned another day with my friend because one of the bottles had a crooked label and I'm OCD about things on my vanity, so it bothered me a bit when placed against other bottles of JML. I explained it to her and instead of judging me (like I expected most SA to do), she went above and beyond to look for a new 'perfect' bottle for me!!! I cannot compliment her enough. They didn't have any in stock that day but she asked me to leave my phone number and she would call me when they get more in stock so I can pick my "perfect" bottle - I know I'm picky :( but nonetheless, she was so happy to help and did not mind and I cannot thank her enough for not making me feel like a hassle! I would highly recommend anyone who needs JML to go to her!! She's my favorite Nordstrom SA and I would buy more Jo Malone just because she is such a lovely person! Haha. I would not mind passing this along to corporate as well :) read more

I love Nordstrom, but everytime I come to this particular location there is always issues with beauty department. Particularly Jo Malone. I went to pick out a new fragrance and the sales associate, Emilia had alot of attitude. She was not smiling, speaking very dry, and made it a big to spray perfumes that I did not even ask her to spray. Before checking out, I was looking at gift sets and she was rushing me to pay. On top of all that, when she asked me if I wanted it wrapped, she rolled her eyes before doing it. Shes not the only problem, though, every time ive gone to Jo Malone the sales associates are always giving attitude and extremely stingy when it comes to giving samples. Even with a purchase a sales associate refused to give me a sample of another fragrance during a previous visit. The Americana Nordstrom on the other hand is always fantastic and I've never had any issues at the Jo Malone there or any beauty counter. read more

Nordstrom Santa Anita - Department Stores Near Me - Arcadia, California

If the store is out of something, the sales associates can easily look it up on the computers to see if any nearby stores carry it and have it delivered to the store. Same goes for brands not carried by this store but are available at another Nordstrom. read more

Anniversary Sale!!! Great customer service at the handbag counter! Thanks Ray for all your help! Was a good day shopping...

I am an avid Nordy shopper. I have been to many different Nordstroms but unfortunately this location fall on the very bottom of my list. Either HR has done a poor job on hiring sales associates or I'm just coming across all the dumb/unhelpful sales reps. It feels like they all just want to make the commission but don't want to truly help the customer find the right product. They also never have the product I'm looking for, where as other Nordys have it in stock. Also, had a bad experience at Christian Dior. Purchased an eye shadow palette, only to come home and seeing the eye shadow was very much used! I go back to return it, I buy another shadow palette and a few lip glosses. They said I get a gift for purchasing more than $35. Great! Right? So I thought.... I go home and open my gift, only to find that my gift was EMPTY! Nothing in the bag. Lesson learned thrice. Won't be coming back to this Nordys unless I'm desperate! read more

I have shopped at Nordstrom for over 30 years. I even worked at Nordstrom in high school for 4 years so I am very familiar with the customer service Nordstrom was known for. Apparently that has disappeared. I visited the cosmetics counter ready to purchase Armani makeup. There were literally 7 salespersons in the area. Not one greeted me. After 10 minutes one noticed I may need some assistance. Still 'no offer to help' or 'I apologize for the wait' or 'we will be right with you'. Absolutely the worst customer service ever! In the age of dying retail and so many other options you would think the focus would be on customer service more than ever. Take advantage of the other options out there. Don't bother to shop here. read more

It appears that the employees are more interested in their cell phones, the night before, drinking coffee and socializing then servicing us customers. I walked into Cosmetics and two employees were talking it up and drinking their beverages while continuing to check their phones... how is this acceptable? I didn't get asked if I needed help, not once, I got looked at but not a "hello" or a "be right with you"..???... guess I'll go online. On the positive, had lunch in the Nordstrom restaurant and enjoyed great food and great service!!!! Cosmetics should take some notes from them. Cafe is the only reason I'm giving a 3 star, or it would had been a 1. read more
