This is a wonderful place with some great food. It's in a convenient location with its own parking lot. Inside, there was one room with basic tables, and another with linen tablecloths (choose which you prefer). You order at the counter, get a number, get your own utensils and such, and they bring the food to your table. I went with some friends who got the lunch special (very good), but I couldn't resist the Spring Lamb Shank. Oh, that was so good. The lamb shank had incredible flavor, good seasoning, and tons of jus. The carrots and onions on that platter were perfectly cooked - just enough, but still with a crunch (onions) and a bite (carrots). It comes with a platter with rice (I got both kinds), hummus (could have used a bit more of that), sauce, onions, pickled turnips (perfect for balancing the richness), and bread (lavash?) that is great for making a wrap. Every dishe we ordered was fresh and tasty. The squab was juicy and well seasoned. The dips were super flavorful and went perfect with the veggie sticks and pita. Portions are MASSIVE. I don't know how anyone can finish their entree here. Folks all seem to leave fully satisfied and with leftoversI can see why this place is often busy and is a local favorite. I have been coming to noon for over 10 years now. It continues to be one of the best Persian restaurants in the Chicago area with amazing tahdig and koubideh. Recently I tried the fesenjoon which was disappointing and kabab barg was underwhelming overall. Service has continued to improve over the years and they take good care of their patrons. Ambiance is great for large groups and to have a fun meal with family. Highly recommended for some great Koubideh and one of the few places in city to offer Tahdig (can be better). Service was excellent, and the server did a great job of explaining what the dishes were going to be like when I was placing my order. The portion sizes are enormous, and I was happy to take the leftovers home in a doggy-bag, which lasted me two whole meals the following day. I have always loved the food here. It is very good. Be it the casual dining or fine dining options. Recently, we had book a party at another restaurant down Kedzie for 25 people. The owner of that place, we so unwelcoming and rude, we just couldn't stay there. Our guests were just starting to arrive. So, I had to find another place like ASAP. Where to go? Who to call? And Noon O Kabab was the first place that popped into my mind... duh. I called and explained our predicament. They said, "No problem, give us 30 minutes." Done! We went there. The table was set. I always go into the restaurant with my family and the meals were generally good. Today we ordered two meals and hummus to be delivered. When we got it, it had no rice and when we called to question where our rice was and we were told it does not come with rice..... It was not a stipulated on the menu when we were placing the order. Our total was over $80 and basically we got four skewers of beef and lamb. I was totally disappointed and I don't know if I will return to the restaurant. I was visiting a friend (Dr Amish Shah chiropractor) and there are plenty of middle eastern restaurants in the NOVA DC area where I live but Noon O Kabab has to be one of the best I've ever had. Once we ordered the presentation of food was not only grand but tasting it, I've never had ground lamb, ground chicken, grilled lamb and beef kebab that tender and flavorful. It didn't taste Persian, Afghani possibly, definitely not Uyghur but it doesn't matter because it was delicious. I've been eating Noon O Kabab for over 20 years now. The food is not the issue of this post. Today my wife placed an order from Noon O Kabab's website. The order was through the site, so it was not delivered via DoorDash or any other third party delivery site. After roughly an hour, my wife received a phone call from an agitated delivery driver attempting to communicate with her. He spoke only Spanish, absolutely no English. Neither my wife nor I speak Spanish. We guessed that the reason for his call was he was outside with our food. But when we looked outside he was not there. Over the course of the next half-hour, we received further calls from him, and attempted to call the restaurant to report there was a problem. The woman who answered the phone said, "Oh that sounds like Juan." We could not determine if he was lost or what the problem was. Finally, Noon O Kabab's delivery driver showed up. He left his car running with the driver side door open in the middle of the street. I went out on the porch and asked him what had happened, which was pointless as he couldn't speak English and I can't speak Spanish. So I took the food from him, took the receipt, told him to get off our porch. During all this he pushed my arm, I guess thinking he'd been treated rudely. He refused to leave. He remained on the porch, knocking on the door and ringing our doorbell, demanding a further discussion. Keep in mind we'd already paid for the food, and even tipped, via credit card, so he was not waiting to be paid. We opened the door and resumed the overall conversation, which, again, was pointless given the complete language barrier. But basically, he was trying to claim that I hit him. This is completely ridiculous; I'm not a physically combative person and wouldn't attempt to hit a stranger. And, again, he did make contact with me. I told him, again, to leave. He would not. He started calling Noon O Kabab, for what I'm not sure, as I did the same thing. But then he decided to leave, hastily, and as he did I followed him to his car to get a picture of his license plate. As I did so I saw a woman in his backseat and a small child not in any kind of car seat and not wearing a seatbelt. My following made him panic and he jumped in his car and sped away, running a stop sign. I'm including a picture of the driver. His car was a blue Honda Civic, license plate EC 64087. I called Noon O Kabab and reported all this to them and they seemed to take the matter very seriously. But I'm posting this here to let people know it's not safe to order from Noon O Kabab anymore. They might send someone like this, who speaks no English, can't find your house, becomes very combative when confronted in any way, and even endangers the people in his car and anyone on the street when he's driving. read more

Went there 2 more times - both to the "nicer" side. (bleep)ing incredible food. Apologies for coarse language, but Noon O Kabab has cemented itself as my 1st or 2nd favorite restaurant in the city. I straight up can't wait to go back. Everything we had was spectacular. Service is good, ambiance is nice, we walked in on Saturday at 5 and were seated immediately. They don't take reservations (except for big parties). Prices are reasonable. I always get the fesenjan - it's one of my favorite dishes, few places serve it, and they do it justice. Fesenjan is not the prettiest dish (which is part of why I like it, it's a sleeper), but the flavor is very unusual and brilliant. read more
