Returned here but ate at the cafe area. It's been a long time since I've eaten here. The food was ok. But not like I remembered. The cafe felt rushed and the food didn't seem as hot. The parking is still hard. They have a lot but you would have to be real lucky. The ambiance is loud as it's a small area so it was hard to talk. But I'll come back again.

Noon O Kabab offers a more causal seating area and a sit-down service area. They have an expansive menu. Service was a little bit slow. The portions themselves are pretty large. However, all the food was bland. The rice was okay and the roti/pita was also pretty flavorless.

Noon O Kabab never disappoints! The food was absolutely outstanding. The chicken kabob was incredibly juicy and flavorful, the beef was tender and perfectly grilled, and the koobideh was seasoned just right. The saffron and dill rice was fluffy and aromatic, and the grilled tomatoes, fresh basil, onions, and lemon completed the meal perfectly. Every bite tasted fresh and authentic. The portions were generous, the service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming. If you're looking for authentic Persian cuisine in Chicago, Noon O Kabab is a must-visit. I can't wait to come back!

The best Persian food in Chicago. Sitting down in this beautifully decorated restaurant is a pleasure, but the carryout service is just as quick and flavorful. I never come to the side of town without stopping here for a filling meal. The portions are huge and delicious and reasonably priced. The steak and chicken kebabs are always cooked perfectly and juicy. I locks the dill rice and fresh cheese and vegetables given with meals. The service here is always warm and friendly.

This was kind of pricey. It was almost $35 for this and a diet coke can. When I came in, the hostess was about to seat us then a man came and said something to her and they said the wait was 30 minutes or we could go to the back casual section. When we got back there it is a bit hard to navigate considering there are so many tables and chairs. The food was okay but I think the rice needed more seasoning and the lamb kebab needed something. I was fine with this meal but it definitely could've been better. Hence the 3 stars.

It was nice inside. Our server was great. The food was good. But think I prefer the other location.

Has been my go to for years. The lamb shank is my favourite but alao the half and half dill rice. Kabob is unbeatable. The chicken is so soft and tender I thought it was salmon lol. A gem in the neighbourhood.

Still the best kabob in Chicago. You can't go wrong ordering anything. We have ate there, ordered to go and done catering, and each time they are consistently good.

Every dishe we ordered was fresh and tasty. The squab was juicy and well seasoned. The dips were super flavorful and went perfect with the veggie sticks and pita. Portions are MASSIVE. I don't know how anyone can finish their entree here. Folks all seem to leave fully satisfied and with leftoversI can see why this place is often busy and is a local favorite. Service is attentive and kind. There was a mess up with our drink order but it was quickly rectified without any defensiveness or fuss from either side. On-site parking is limited but there's plenty of paid metered street parking.

Feeling good & hopeful about the Bears vs Packers game so had to order from my favorite Persian restaurant @noonokabab to kick up the heat and excitement! Superb chicken and lamb kebabs, lamb shank, dill rice (oh yes!), fresh hummus, pita bread, and cucumber salad. So what if this is just for two? Can never go wrong with this kind of tasty leftovers. And we were rewarded with a miraculous @chicagobears wild card win!! GOOO BEARS!!

This Restaurant is Absolutely Amazing. I have eaten there many times and it's Always a Great experience. The owner is a very Friendly person who welcomes you to restaurant like you are a long time friend. The servers and restaurant workers are all super friendly and make you feel like they invited you to their home. The last time we were there our server Evelyn was simply Amazing and helped us enjoy ourselves. Now let's get to the food. This restaurant has the most Amazing food. Everything I have eaten here is prepared to perfection and has great flavor. Every dish is a very good size portion and every bite is Great. Oh and I forgot to mention that the place is beautiful. When you walk in you feel like you were transported to a Beautiful palace in an another part of the world. So if I were you I would give it a try. You will be pleasantly surprised with everything.... I have been coming to noon for over 10 years now. It continues to be one of the best Persian restaurants in the Chicago area with amazing tahdig and koubideh. Recently I tried the fesenjoon which was disappointing and kabab barg was underwhelming overall. Service has continued to improve over the years and they take good care of their patrons. Ambiance is great for large groups and to have a fun meal with family. Highly recommended for some great Koubideh and one of the few places in city to offer Tahdig (can be better). Don't forgot to try the saffron ice cream if your A1c is below 6 :)

The 1st that plans ahead and gets to places early. And the 2nd that is there for a good time but always gets everywhere late. Those of us that wanted to come early and not worry decided that we wanted to go to a restaurant close by to wait for our tour time and that's how we found Ema. As soon as we walk inside we see how beautiful and modern the interior looks. They had a lot of seating available and we got a nice table by the window with a view We wanted to eat light before the tour so we shared a bunch of small plates. We ordered the mushroom escargot, lemon Caesar, crispy potatoes, a couple orders of hummus and some chicken kebabs. That mushroom escargot was one of my favorite things I ate during the entire Chicago trip. The mushrooms were creamy and rich. It tasted umami, bright from the lemon, slightly spicy from the Calabrian breadcrumbs, and paired perfectly with some warm pita bread on the side. The hummus was smooth and well seasoned. The lemon caesar was fresh and fairly standard. The crispy potatoes were perfectly textured and were soft and pillowy on the inside. As long as they sat on the table they never lost their crisp. The chicken kebabs were tenderly, juicy and garlicky. We were all putting together our perfect bite combinations with the pita bread. Everything we ordered I would actually order again. Though may want to try a different salad next time since the Caesar was pretty simple. Regardless, still no real complaints with the food Our server was charismatic and funny. He had a great attitude and entertained us throughout the meal. Everything came out promptly as well so we made it out and could take our time walking to the riverboats. Lucky for our friends the tour said they'd be docked for a few minutes after our scheduled start time to set everything up. As 3 minutes after our start time we see group 2 sprinting up from a couple blocks away Overall Ema was consistent, flavorful and reliable. Not a bad price point either for what you get. I'd definitely recommend and come back

Made last minute reservations for brunch next day after the infamous architecture tour. It was quiet as we've put in an early morning. All the more better to savor all intricate dishes from start to finish. Like the name, The Purple Pig, their specialty is pork dishes so majority of our orders were this. Daily special of the bone marrow bacon jam toast - glazed, slippery off the bone, savory and sweet. Always love a good bone marrow dish to get the sweetness off it. This was so good that there were bits of the marrow and jam left stuck to the bone, I took a piece of the toast and scooped the bone dry. Nothing left for anyone to attack this. Non pork dishes were the Mushroom 3 ways and Spanish octopus. Mushroom dish was savory with all the coated sauces elevating this. Spanish octopus was kicked lightly and easily can bite in to enjoy the tender and charred portions. But the award went to my main course - the braised pork shoulder with saffron, apricots and Swiss chard. Aside from the rippable pork meat when dining on it, the sauces fused together on this dish elevated it and had everyone coming back for more. I needed an official Chicago culinary experience and found it at The Purple Pig without a doubt.

Though unassuming on the outside, this place serves yummy Lebanese food at high ROI. Of the two shawarma plates I tried, I fancy the beef, but I tend to lean beef. The chicken was clean and flavorful. The hummus is creamy and delicious and the plates are served with a balsamic fresh salad on the side. The guys behind the counter are working hard and if you're picking food up to-go, you're likely in and out of line with hot fresh food in under 10 minutes. I called them because I wasn't sure if the online version would be too slow. We were a group of three that came in Saturday night at 7 pm. It was moderately busy. Food portions are colossal so I would recommend one appetizer and one entree if you are a couple. They give you a complimentary dish. We ordered arayes with meat, meat toshka, mixed grill with baba ghanouj, fillet of basa fried, and mint lemonade. They also offer you fresh Arabic coffee before you leave. This is about a 4.5-5. -arayes with meat 4 - this was not bad. It's like a tamer version of the meat toshka. -meat toshka 5 - I prefer this over the arayes because they add the Syrian cheese. This one was bursting with flavor the moment you took a bite out of it. The minced beef and lamb just melt in the mouth. -mixed grill 5 - this came with 3 big skewers (shish kabab, kufta kabab, and chicken tawook. It also has tomatoes and onions to help cut down the meat when digesting. There are two heaping portions of biryani and saffron rice and baba ghanouj. The baba ghanouj was creamy and flavorful. It goes well with the pita bread. The meats were cooked medium well unless you want something. I think next time I'll ask for the shish kababs to be cooked medium rare or medium for a more juicy taste. The chicken tawook and kufta were both succulent. -fillet of basa fried 5 - the two pieces of basa fillet were astronomical. It also comes with two different kinds of rice. The fish was flaky, moist, and seasoned. Make sure you add the lemon and eat it with the sauce. -mint lemonade 5 - this was very refreshing after eating a heavy meal.
