I was do excited to try this Uyghur cuisine! We got the very dense and aromatic mixed fruit tea that's served in a large pot with a mini candle underneath. Dough appetizers that you dip in yogurt was a wonderful experience. The Plov lamb and rice dish was very flavorful. The sliced tomatoes with dill was also delightful and had a different taste that wants me to get more. The lamb shorpo taste similar to other dishes I've tried which was also very pleasant. The service didn't speak much English which was fine for me but my mother who has too many questions was left with much unanswered ones lol. If you are a picky eater or want to know whether the meat is kosher or sugar is organic, then maybe avoid this place. But if you are a true food adventurer, this place will open up your buds to wondrous encounters.

Passed by this place a week before going, was bored on a Sunday and decided to give it a shot. First of all, I am well aware of the stuff happening to the Uyghurs, for years and years. And to finally try their food, was a blessing. We got the borsch, lamb kurda, manti(dumplings) and boso lagman. Scrumptious and Mammoth portions, at crazy bargain prices. The meat was so tender and it seems all they used was salt, which was PERFECT. I loved it. The server was a little cold to us in the beginning but he warmed up. Either way they get 5 stars from me and I'll be back over n over again.

This was the best meal I have had in a while. Our server was so kind. It was our first time in so she showed us a menu with photos to help us decide on our dishes. She even brought us boorsok on the house to try. There's a button on the table you can press to call your server which is nice as it was pretty busy. The food was excellent. Fresh. Huge portions. Flavorful. We had the plov, fried manti (perhaps my favorite thing), and fricasse with chicken. I am dreaming about the fruit tea. Not too sweet, full of flavor. Will be back for sure!

Really delicious Uyghur cuisine. The price is very fair and portions are huge! Our order came with complimentary fried dough (believe it's called boorsok) which was perfect for snacking while waiting for the main dishes. We ordered the Plov, Manti, Dapanji, and Flatbread. Everything was flavorful, hearty, and absolutely delicious--big portions, so come hungry! The fruit tea came in a pot that stayed warm the entire time. Subtly sweet, packed with fruits and spices, and was very refreshing and honestly addicting.

Chicken Dapanji was my favorite! What a great blend of fantastic flavors! The fruit tea, sweetened with honey, was awesome

Uyghur and Kyrgyz, both devastating and improper scrabble words, got together on a plate and made a delicious fare in this humble excellent restaurant. I haven't had it all yet, and honestly may not get around to the whole menu for a while because the first meals have imprinted a craving in my being for them. It is impossible to deny that the portions are generous and the flavors are highly satisfying. The regular Lagman and the Bosa fried Lagman are equally good, flip a coin and enjoy. Also, no need to select between fried and steamed Manti, you can order a combo and again there is no difference in quality, so let your preferences guide you. Goulash is familiar but has a huge, pardon my ignorance, Chinese sense of flavor that adds a twist to the dish. Olivie Salad is a famously varied dish and their version is excellent with a mild combo of potato, beef, vegetables and mayo provide that light and cool but very substantial feel. My favorite surprize was the Ginger Lemon tea, served in a pot with long tea leaves and slices of the ginger and Lemon provided the secret ingredient for both cutting through the rich dishes and briefly but effectively defying the soporific effect of the bounty and let me eat more than usual and drive home without dozing off. The service was outstanding. The digs are modest but cozy. It is often crowded with people very familiar with the food and culture. So go.

I recommend visiting this place, very tasty and big portions, we will definitely come again

The decor is cozy and interesting. The food portions are very generous and the food is tasty and comforting! We had the ghosh nan, the long man, goulash and the chicken soup. We all were very happy and will come back!

I got the Chicken Avocado Ranch for my selection (Antibiotic-free blackened chicken, avocado, pickled onions, apples, tortilla chips, white rice, chopped romaine, seed oil-free green goddess ranch) and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. As I was home on the Friday after the Xmas Day celebration, hungry, didn't want to cook/heat anything up, I decided to order this salad for dinner through Grubhub. While I was placing the order, I decided to try the Fish Taco for the next day's lunch (Antibiotic-free miso glazed salmon, avocado, shredded cabbage, cilantro, tortilla chips, herbed quinoa, spring mix). This bowl comes with a sweetgreen hot sauce & lime cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette, but I opted to switch that out for the Green Goddess Ranch and the Miso Sesame Ginger. I loved the fact that I would add or not include certain items. For example, I love goat cheese, so I add that to both bowls and it was delish. Delivery was pretty smooth, with the driver coming up to our floor to drop everything off. Both bowls looked visually pleasing and the overall taste was pretty good. The flavors were nice and there was a freshness to both bowls, even the Fish Taco one on the next day. FYI the Fish Taco bowl can only be ordered online, not ordered in the store...not sure why, but since I will not be going to the store, I am good with that. You also have the option to order a slice of bread with each bowl and that was nice. Next time I will see if I can get a second slice. Total cost for the two bowls, with some add-ons and service fee and tip was about $58. I will say it will be cheaper to go to the store and pick it up yourself, but I will pay to have stuff delivered to me for peace of mind. They do have an app for placing orders, but I will stick with Grubhub because that is free for me through Amazon. I realize sweetgreen has a mission statement about eating healthy, lowering their carbon footprint, a commitment to animal welfare, but before I knew any of that, I still would say the bowls were pretty good. Not that I crave salads or bowls that often, but if I do, this will be the first place I order from.

Stacked unapologetically high, this burger is everything you want and more: juicy, perfectly seared patties layered with melty cheese, crispy bacon, and those golden, crunchy fried onions that take it completely over the top. Every bite is rich, savory, and just messy enough to remind you you're eating something seriously good. The toasted bun somehow holds it all together (barely), soaking up every bit of flavor without getting lost in the chaos. And then... the shoestring fries. Thin, crispy, golden perfection--light but addictive, with that ideal crunch that makes it impossible to stop at just one (or ten). They're the kind of fries you keep reaching for without even realizing it, especially dipped in that creamy, tangy sauce on the side. And let's not forget the drinks--just as good as the food. Refreshing, perfectly balanced, and the kind you sip slow while taking it all in (but somehow they disappear way too fast). It's not just a burger--it's one of Chicago's most iconic bites for a reason. Bold, indulgent, and absolutely worth every single napkin you'll need after. The ambiance inside is GORGEOUS!

Loved the 90s female R&B playlist they had going! Little Bad Wolf has been on my list FOR YEARS to try the burger! My husband got the burger with fried onions and I got some Bao because those also looked delicious and were a popular menu item. Honestly the 3 stars are only that high because of the service. Our server was friendly and attentive + the food came out hot and quick. Unfortunately, the food was pretty disappointing. The burger was swimming in a puddle of grease and just picking it up made your hands greasy + was dripping grease. The fries that came with it were floppy, soggy, and sad...but at least warm? I personally wouldn't order this again. The Bao were better, but small for the price and honestly were just okay? It was nice they gave you sauces you could add, but I found the Bao's to already have enough sauce so I didn't need them. Overall I left feeling confused and disappointed.
