The wait was worth it. We got their shawarma wrap and it was filled with flavors. There are plenty of seating inside the restaurant and three tv on the walls. They have an extensive menu you can choose from and some drink options as well. Located near United Center which is great for lunch or dinner. Adding the fire sauce makes it so good if you like that extra kick to your wrap. read more

Had the Crave bowl with biryani rice, babaganoush, spicy hummus, chicken kabobs, Arabic and Jerusalem salads, and tahini/garlic sauce. The chicken was juicy and grilled perfectly. The babaganoush was smoky just how I like it. The rice wasn't exactly what I think of for biryani, but I liked the unique twist for a Middle Eastern bowl. Atmosphere is clean and casual. Maybe I'll try the baklava cheesecake next time. read more

Crave Kabob - Mediterranean Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Ordered from here many times to go and have also eaten in the restaurant. In house experience is good because as many have noted the staff is kind and the place is always clean We eat Mediterranean pretty much anytime we get takeout as it's the healthiest option and does my dietary restrictions, so I have lots of recs in the area but Crave stays in the rotation. I will say that their prices are considerably higher than other places but I do believe that he portions are also larger so you don't feel like you've overpaid. Food is delicious and fresh. I have never had anything I wouldn't recommend and yall the lemon mint smoothie is slept on!!!! It is so good and refreshing. Looking forward to warmer days this summer because it's gonna be calling me. Here's a typical order for us Mixed Grill Plate ($30 is steep but it's a lot of food) Falafel 6pc Lentil soup Lemon mint slushie read more

I ordered Crave Kabob on Uber Eats while I was working in the area. I got a steak shawarma bowl with extra grilled veggies. The delivery was quick and packaged well. I thought the portion was filling and I loved the amount of sauce and hummus on the bowl as I'm a big sauce fan. The main salad layer was just some basic shredded lettuce, but I liked the cucumber salad and the herbs. The side of veggies was a bit weird, the onions weren't really grilled so they were basically raw. I liked that they came on a bed of pillowy bread, which I used to dip in the hummus. Overall this was a good, healthier option for delivery food, and I'd probably order from this spot again. read more

I got the 1/2 basmati 1/2 spicy rice with chicken kabobs. The rice was dry but the chicken was good even though it was not like the picture on their website of two full kabobs. It also came with hummus & your choice of a salad. I'm not a hummus fan so the cashier (who was extremely nice) swapped it out for me to try this eggplant dip. It was ok. The salad I choice was the Greek salad and it was good. Very clean inside as well. read more

What an amazing place for super fresh Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food! I started with the fried Mediterranean cheese which was sweaky cheesy great! For my main I went with the lamb kabob sandwich on a pita. Lots of great lamb flavor and no shortage of extra veggies. The service was outstanding. The cashier gave me a sample falafel while I was waiting for my order and was super friendly. Will definitely be back!! read more

Worst gyro of my life. You can get a better gyro at Arby's. Wouldn't feed this to my dog.

Delicious chicken shawarma bowl, the hummus & sauces were fantastic. Great meal to get for takeout, but the restaurant has a big dining area as well. Service was great, always appreciate staff asking how your food was! read more

One of the best deals in the city they give so much food and it's all so fresh and delicious, we got the $35 combo that came with rice, all the meats, fries, a drink, pita, salad, and hummus and they still gave us extra food because they were so sweet. Cannot recommend enough. read more

Absolutely delicious, kind staff, clean space and good vibes. The schawafle wraps were perfect proportions, the lamb kabob was UNREAL. So good. And the prices are super reasonable. (I think they should add onions to the Arabic salad because it was a little bland) Highly recommend! read more

All the flavors worked so well together! The fried cauliflower has a light and crispy texture. Instead of having a thick breading like most fried cauliflower, this dish seemed to have a spice rub coated on before the cauliflower was fried. It resulted in an incredibly tender, flavorful, and perfectly fried dish. The lentil soup had earthy undertones of turmeric. It was the right thickness to pair well with the biryani rice. Pouring a bit of the soup over the rice adds contrast in texture while also elevating the earthy flavors of the soup with the light notes of spice from the rice. The falafel sandwich was divine. There's no question why the restaurant claims their falafel is number 1. For any other restaurant that serves falafel, the falafel is just there to provide a crunch without any flavor. But these are different, they're on the softer side and melt in your mouth with such a great taste. Then kicks in the hummus, and the soft and fluffy pita bread with every bite. Woo wee I can't wait to come back. read more

I can only rate the vegetarian items, and they are DELICIOUS. Seriously delicious, lentil soup is the best I've ever had in Chicago, served with a lemon wedge and crunchy pita chips to sprinkle on it, falafel and yellow rice was outstanding, everything was fantastic! read more

The food was so fresh and tasty. The portions are large. The customer services was spot on a must try.

I always see ads for this restaurant on my TikTok FYP so I figured it was time to try it. I honestly thought it was mostly a takeout restaurant with limited seating, but I was so wrong. There is an entire dining hall, set up with TV's, a drink station and over all, it's kept really clean. Service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I had placed an order to go, and when I arrived, everything was packed and ready to go. In order to properly rate a middle eastern restaurant, I had to get the two most popular items - the chicken shawarma and the beef shawarma. I decided to try the chicken shawarma "Arab style". This comes chopped up into bite size pieces, with fries, pickles, and a side salad. It also came with garlic sauce for dipping. The chicken was moist and flavorful, but I wish the garlic sauce was a bit more potent. I think they mix it with mayonnaise, but I could be wrong. The fries were crispy and salty. I got the beef shawarma sandwich and that was by far my favorite. The meat was juicy, seasoned really well and cooked to perfection. I also decided to try their version of the Dubai chocolate, which was a bit overpriced in my opinion (about 13$ after tax) but that's the market price for a viral product I guess. Unfortunately, it was a miss for me. I couldn't taste any pistachio and I didn't get the crunch from the kenefe that I keep seeing all over social media. It was still a solid chocolate bar, but it was lacking the pistachio flavor. They offer both milk and white chocolate flavors. Overall, this is a solid middle eastern place. Definitely worth the try if you're in the area! read more

I live right across the street on Madison Ave!. I've been there about 8 or so times for the gyro sandwich. Let me tell you,it's worth the wait!. Gerally I go there during the summer. I love their fries too. Check them out ,you won't be disappointed! read more

I was excited to give Crave from all the rave reviews about the food. Good that Crave has a large parking lot especially in the area near the United Center. The menu's that they giving you for take out has a slightly less price compared to the menu you see when you arrive to the store. I could see the staff cooking the food from the window and could see the kabobs being grilled. I asked the cashier as I was ordering the food if the lamb kabob was juicy and to my surprise he said all the meat like Lamb, Chicken and beef was dry. I thought he was joking and ordered the combo platter and when I brought it home. The meat was super dry. Overall, the cost is high but the value and taste is not there. read more

I came here with my mom and we had a pretty good experience! You first order at the front then they call your name out to go get your food when it's ready. You also have to get your own silverware and napkins. The place itself was nice and clean. The cashier was really nice and helpful when deciding what to try. We ended up getting a mixed grill and a gyros sandwich which fries. The mixed grill was HUGE cause it comes with two types of rice and 2 salads. The meat itself was okay - some of it was a little dry but they have so many sauces so it makes up for it! We also tried the falafel which was amazing - highly recommend trying it! My mom said both the gyros and fries were great!! The prices are a little on the expensive side - mixed grill was about $30 so I think the pictures of the menu on Yelp are quite old. You do get pretty good sized portions so still worth it. read more

When we first looked up this place we thought it might be like a chain, such as Naf Naf. We would have ok with that but actually it was next level excellent. The falafel, meats and hummus were are so good. Often with middle eastern places if the hummus is good, the meats are not and vice versa. This place did it all well. We will return. read more

Solid food, it was very delicious and such a big portion. Service is solid, you order and eat in the restaurant chilling. Ambiance is aight, I feel like the staff is constantly staring at us while we're eating. Highly suggest the mixed platter, it is their best seller & it comes with so much food packed! I got a back stink of two rices, one was white & the other one is yellow. Super delicious with the assortment of protein. The dip, I'm not too heavy on it so I didn't really eat that portion. I did get the lemon & mint drink. A good combination of both and it was refreshing after all the flavors from my fooods. It smells so good and a lot of people go there all the time. A little pricier than I like, however you are getting a lot for what you're paying for. The baklava goes hard. I would suggest it in a heartbeat. So rich with solid texture. I like it, prob one of the better ones that I've had. I don't think I finished it tho bc I had too much food, but go and get you some Mediterranean food! 9.5/10 -.5 for them staring ag me while I'm eating read more

Great Mediterranean quick service restaurant in the West Loop. Parking is ample which is always a plus. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly - 5 stars to them. The food is delicious. I usually go for the Crave bowl, which has a protein, rice, salads and spreads you can customize. There is plenty of seating inside and they have an upstairs section too in case the downstairs tables are taken. I'll be back to try more items from the menu! read more

Crave Kabob - Mediterranean Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

The West Loop is a bit lacking in places that offer good, quick and delicious meals. Thankfully I found Crave Kabob. It's located in a strip mall on the corner of Madison and Ogden. First, the food is very good. I'm not going to claim that their food is "authentic", but their dishes are ones I've seen on the menu at many Middle Eastern and Mediterranean restaurants. When I visited for lunch I tried the chicken shawarma Arabian style, Arabian salad, fried cauliflower, pita bread, falafel and hummus. They did each of these dishes well. I particularly enjoyed the chicken shawarma Arabian style and the hummus. Second, their service was excellent. My food came out very fast and it was hot and fresh, especially the pita bread. Third, they have a nice ambiance. The décor is bright airily and modern. They even have upstairs seating that overlooks the restaurant. Fourth, and the importance of this cannot be overstated, they have parking. Parking is hard enough in Chicago, but parking is especially bad in their neighborhood, the West Loop. Their parking lot is small, and it's shared with other businesses, but the mere fact that they have parking is a big plus. In sum, this is a great spot for a delicious, quick meal. It would a nice place to eat before a game or concert at the United Center. read more

Chicken bowl with Rice, Chicken, "Cucumber salad", and Tahini. Kind of a rip off, 4 small pieces of chicken, bout 12 pieces of small diced cucumbers, and 1.5oz of sauce. I also got baklava and tipped a couple bucks. Little underwhelming on seasoning as well. So for 25$ you could get a much better bowl at mostly any other spot, save your money and go there you're just gonna be hungry and disappointed after eating here read more

I keep giving this place a try since it's close and has parking vs going over to Halsted, but I think this was the last time. I stopped by after running errands was craving a Gyro. There was only several people there, the cashier was very nice and quickly too my Gyro order to go, the restaurant was not busy, couple people coming for pick ups but not enough that there would be any confusion. The food was ready quickly but when I got home I don't know what I got but it was more like a burrito of chicken thigh meat and not a gyro. I had a Gyro here once before and it was mediocre and skimpy on meat but it wasnt as bad as what I got this evening. Next time I'll run over to Halsted and go to Mr Greek Gyros where I get a good sized Gyro and know what Im getting all the time. read more

Service alone is a five this very patient and very informative beautiful lady served me. It was my first time and she broke it down to me. Fire halal establishment! I come here frequently as a student and even get catering for my organization at school; service is always superb. Have worked with the managers multiple times for seamless transaction and delivery. Pretty easy to work with management and the food was delicious. We got shawarma and kabob bowls for multiple events each with 70-100 people with no complaints on food quantity or quality. Definitely looking forward to getting food from again, give them a call if you have any questions. You may be on hold for a little while but its worth the wait! read more

They have been my favorite place in west town for Mediterranean food for its quality and quantity however, that has changed after tonight. I have ordered their crave bowl and the lentil soup but the portion of protein I received on my bowl is just laughable. I paid total of $22 for the bowl with only 4 pieces of kabob (small to medium size) on it. I understand the price increase but price increase AND reduced portion? That's just turning into a rip off at this point. read more

The food is outstanding. The best Mediterranean food in Chicago. The chicken is most and the spices are not overwhelming.

I love this place as I am a fan of good mediterranean food! Grant it, this is a quick service restaurant but its a very good one! I live nearby so this is usually a call-in and pickup situation...I have eaten inside once or twice maybe. I've never had anything bad here as all of it is pretty good! The hummus and pita bread is pretty good so it always a part of my order. I enjoy the chicken shawarma and steak shawarma wraps and I especially love the chicken and kabob plates which comes complete with char grilled vegetables and your choice of 2 sauces and a salad. I ordered from UberEats. Everything came packaged well & nothing was missing. I expected more meat for my entrees or bigger pieces of meat, or I should say, compared to what other Mediterranean restaurants usually serve. The side of chicken shawarma I got was seasoned well & juicy. The fried cauliflower was OK I expected it to taste better it & seemed kind of burnt.
