The papaya salad was artificially sweetened, with some odd sweet syrup poured over the combination of papaya and one sole tomato slice. No citrus or spice could be tasted. The tom kha was also not well made, with it being sweet more than anything and the tofu tasting like it has been cut up and tossed in the soup 1 minute before service. The curry noodles started off strong with a nice spice level with tofu well cooked but then chunks of the curry powder with heavy turmeric were not cooked in so landed heavy in the mouth. The combination of the three dishes as one would expect was disappointing. Dishes seemed to be rushed out of the kitchen before ending service for the night. I think unfortunately the service was the most disappointing. Had they been slightly more understanding I would have not been inclined to leave this review. However, there was instant dismissal of our disappointment with our food with an assumption that we just didn't want to pay for the meal, which was far from the truth. Would definitely not return here and would not recommend this restaurant. I am saddened to hear that this is touted as one of the better Thai restaurants in Bend.
