They even serve their own food Thursday thru Sunday, burgers and fries. My husband and I opted for a berry cider and a drink called sunset reverie the first night. Yes we stayed in Sisters 2 nights and ended up coming here both nights. The sunset reverie was a great balance between sweet and sour with the lemon in it. My husband enjoyed his cider. We ordered a pizza from Boone Dog Pizza, and it was decent. The second night we had already eaten and just stopped by for drinks, but I wish I had tried their burger. I saw one go by, and it looked really good! I tried Hot Girl Summer drink the second night which had elderflower in it and gin, but I still preferred the Sunset Reverie. We enjoyed sitting outside with all the neat metal art in the yard, and service was good. You are expected to bus your own table, but the bartender was very knowledgeable about the house made syrups in the drinks, etc., and happily answered questions. This place is a great spot in such a small quaint town.

The pizza cart and vegan cart were both amazing and high quality. For kids there is a stage, a hill, and a sandbox and it was easy to let them roam with all the other kids which we finished dinner. 10/10. Will be back!

This was our second visit to Lakeside Bistro at Black Butte Ranch, and it reminded us why we came…read moreback. We enjoyed it the first time, but this visit really confirmed that it's one of our favorite places to eat when we're here. The lakeside setting is beautiful and relaxing, and the restaurant itself is much larger than it appears from the outside. Even when it's busy, it never feels crowded or rushed. Between the six of us, we ordered the chili verde, Mandarin chicken salad, Margherita pizza, BBR BLTA, cheeseburger, and turkey sandwich. Everyone genuinely enjoyed their meal. In fact, there wasn't a single dish that drew anything less than an enthusiastic thumbs up from around the table. One thing I like about Lakeside Bistro is that it's more than just a restaurant. There's a small market and gift shop connected to the dining area, so it's fun to wander around a bit before heading out. They also serve espresso drinks, which made for a nice pick-me-up for the drive back. Will we be back? Without question. Good food, good friends, and a beautiful view over the lake is a winning combination. Our friends Cheri and Dave were up first to order. They started off with a large Chocolate Chip cookie as they ordered their lunch. Cheri had a Garden Burger with French Fries. Dave ordered the BBR BLTA sandwich. Bacon , Lettuce, Tomatoe, Avacado spread grilled on Rosemary bread. My wife had a Garden Burger and I had the Bistro Double Cheese. We both had Sweet Potato tots. Everyone was satisfied with their meal. Our order was messed up. With 2 separate orders , they were supposed to come out all at once. My wife and my order didn't come out at all. We waited at least 15 mins when My wife went to find out what happened to our food. After some confusion the counter person went back to the kitchen and had the grill person make our order. The seating outside with a beautiful view on a nice late summer afternoon made up for the kitchen fiasco.

If you've read some of my recent posts, my wife and I have been taking short day trip hikes to…read morelocal waterfalls. This was a trip to the Sweet Home, Oregon area to hike McDowell Creek Falls. (Highly recommend the falls hike). On our way, we stopped at The Point, just outside of Sweet Home. Not much to look at from the outside and kind of a diner atmosphere inside. Somewhere, I read you had a "view" to the water. As you can see from the picture, it's a view (sort of) to Foster Reservoir. OK. However, the food and service were surprisingly good! I ordered the special of the day, a Chipotle Burger. Cooked perfectly with 1/3 lb local beef patty, bacon, chipotle sauce, lettuce, red onion and accompanied by some very good fries. My wife had the grilled cheese and it was awesome as well. Her only complaint was it had too much bacon. Yes, you heard that right, too much bacon. I also have been trying NA beers and the only brand I have found I like is Deschutes out of Bend. They had a Golden that I hadn't heard of and it was, in true Deschutes fashion, very good. Our server was Becky and she was amazing. She greets the regulars by name, was very helpful and informative, but not too chatty. If we were in this area again, we would definitely go back. Without hesitation. Great find!

Seemed like the place was mostly patronized by locals. The French Dip was great, burger quite good. Plenty of parking, lovely view of the lake, indoor and outdoor seating.
