XL Pepperoni pizza
Cathy S.

We stopped by for an early dinner on our way back home from Bend. We did pass the Bend location while trying to get here but I think this location has better outdoor seating with picnic table benches. It also shares the parking lot with a Dutch Bros FYI. The inside had some table seating with iconic checkered plastic tablecloths and there were various black and white photos on the walls. Bathrooms were clean. We walked in and ordered at the counter for their special bundle including a XL Pepperoni pizza, Caesar salad, 2L Pepsi for a very reasonable price for the amount you get. Service was quick and friendly. They were not kidding about it being XL! Wowza, the box barely fit through the door on our way out haha. Aside from the size, the pizza was hot and fresh, sour the right amount of pepperoni, and the dough and crust were the perfect balance of chewy and crunchy. They also had your typical toppings: Parmesan, crushed red pepper, garlic salt (powder?), but I really liked the Italian seasoning Parmesan - it really added to the flavor. I was very impressed! I was full after just one slice. Definitely stop by and grab some great pizza here!

Best pizza in Sisters. Always on time for orders. Generous servings for the price. Mostly kids working, but they do a great job.

We first visited High Camp back in 2022 when they had just opened, and that experience was…read morefantastic. Since moving out of Oregon, we haven't been able to make it back as often as we'd like, but I've never forgotten that first visit -- meeting the owner, falling in love with their hot seasoning spice (which they gifted me to take home!), and becoming obsessed with the homemade chili oil. Last night (11/20/25), we finally returned, and I'm happy to say the food is still just as wonderful. The flavors were exactly as we remembered. Our favorites this time were the Shapta and the Chau Chau -- both absolutely delicious. We ordered and shared everything family-style: * Momos - handmade dumplings * Shapta - beef dish * Chau Chau - noodle dish * Masu Bhat - chicken curry Most dishes came with a small side salad and jasmine rice. The ordering process is casual and easy: place your order at the counter, grab a table, and they'll buzz you when the food is ready. The staff then brings everything right to your table. The ambience is warm, inviting, and cozy. Even though it was 32° outside, they still had a wood fire going, which made for such a pretty and welcoming touch. High Camp continues to be a gem in Sisters -- absolutely worth the visit every time.

Update review. We keep getting a male server who is stressed out and impatient. Makes us feel…read morerushed. Acts like he's a great waiter and like we're unworthy customers. He sweats and pushes us to order and eat fast, doing that waiter thing when they pretend they are not rushing you. "Just checking if you need that plate taken away." Not fooling anyone. Brusque to my brother who is into fine wines and requested tastes of some by-the-glass wines before committing to a glass or a bottle. My wife stated she is uncomfortable around the server. We don't go to the Open Door much now. Old review. A real romantic spot. Great drinks. My wife loves it. Sitting outside is best but the bar is good too. Some nights they put tables in the art gallery out front and you sit around the paintings and jewelry, kind of fun. There used to be a waitress named Kristen or Kirsten, a lady with long hair and clogs, the best server I've ever had and I don't just mean in Central Oregon. The Open Door is the probably the best dining experience in Sisters. Living in Tumalo and working throughout Oregon, I go to Sisters often. Unfortunately Sisters isn't a great town for food. The Open Door has some very-good food, and some pretty-good food. You never know which it's going to be. The halibut, meatballs, and lasagnas are solid. Berries and cream dessert is great. The menu doesn't change much over the years. If my wife didn't love it I wouldn't go back so often. Get bored eating the same dishes over and over. When my brother and his grown kids visit they like the atmosphere, especially those small houses outside with the plants. However they have trouble finding a selection that works for their way of eating, allergies, one is vegan and one is lactose intolerant.

We had the salmon/sweet potato chowder which had a hint of curry, chicken Caesar salad, and fall salad with salmon. Loved the curry dressing on the fall salad! All were gluten free & delicious!
