a bowl of noodles with meat and vegetables

My boyfriend and I ended up at Noodlebox when the ramen spot a few doors down had a 180 minute wait!!! I guess all the bad reviews are about take out, good thing we ate in. My bf's beef box was unmemorable but my butter chicken box with noodles was bursting with flavor. The noodles were chewy, the sauce nice and creamy served with chicken breast, delish! Still drooling about this dish. Anyhoo, I guess if you want to eat her, dine in and get the butter chicken with hokkein noodles. You welcome!

Bombay mac n cheese, med spicy with chicken breast. That is more like a curry soup with macaroni no cheese and no spice.

Terrible We ordered on their app got there and they had missed our order entirely so we had to wait 20 min for our order. I got the Bombay Mac n cheese with chicken breast med spicy. What I got was a curry soup with macaroni and chicken breast. No spice. Honestly beyond disappointing. Would not go back again. Would not recommend this location.

This is the original location. My firm has ordered from this place before. But I have to say take out seems smaller than actually having it to eat in. So came here with a friend and ordered the Teriyaki Noodle with chicken and mild spicy. The noodle smelled so good. It was quite delicious but probably because I was hungry. Only issue was that there wasn't a lot of chicken and I have to say it is more expensive if you compare the portion size and price to what you would get for the same price at an Chinese or Japanese restaurant. At the end, I did notice the amount of sauce floating in the bowl. Yes my teriyaki noodle with chicken is stir fried but is not dry enough. All sauces still left hanging at the bottom of bowl. My friend ordered the Cambodian noodle with chicken. OMG it smelled so good and looked so good too. I didn't have a taste but can imagine. There are could of tables and a long sharing table (can be used for big groups as well). There is free sparkling water or still water depending on your preference. I like sparkling water and not a lot of places offers it. But of course that is a plus. Decor is not bad here. Ceiling is quite high. Interesting artwork on wall. Bathrooms are clean. I do like Noodlebox once in awhile. Will come back.

Interesting place that Caucasians cooking Asian foods... It's nice noodle place but expensive for lunch. It was so quiet on Sunday noon, only 2 tables there. I found the reviews were pretty good on this place and really want to try it. Food was ok not impress at all. My hubby ordered medium spicy of chicken peanut sauce noodle, he didn't like the sauce coz a bit bitter. I ordered daily special - scallops and prawns linguine in tomato sauce, it was pretty good.

If I have a choice to give a zero, I would. Worst taste ever. Unbelievable. The teriyaki box we had tastes like sweet abd sour. The chicken is tasteless. The sauce... yuck.

You order and they make it in front of you and you head over to grab your tempura or sides and then you head off to the till to pay. It is a very efficient system. The place is clean and has a good amount of seating. I highly recommend coming here for lunch. They also have late night special for those partying out late and are hungry.

Not too loud. But definitely better than a fast food place. For this kind of place, it's as good as it gets. 4 stars - extremely solid and reliable place, it's just not a 5 stars for me because it doesn't blow my mind or anything.

Paid parking was not too hard to find on the Main Street but during busy dining hours it might be difficult. We got seated right away at the bar since there were no tables open and the service was quick. Traditional Japanese style ambiance and even the bathroom had rounded Japanese bowl sink. As someone who doesn't have chicken broth (paitan style) ramen, I was really looking forward to the original ramen I ordered but I was a bit disappointed in the flavor profile of the dish. The ramen had both chasu and seaweed paired with thin round noodles. The broth was creamy and had a hint of chicken flavor but even adding several rounds of their soy sauce/salt seasoning they have on the side to adjust your broth to your liking-- I found that the richness of the soup was not what I had expected from the reviews that I read prior to coming here. Overall, a bit disappointed in the flavoring of the broth but maybe we came on an off day. I would be willing to give it a shot again in the future if I had ramen cravings and given that it was very affordable ($11-15 per bowl with tip), but I would probably opt to try another place first.

Review #3 for 2026 I…read morereally wanted to like this place. I watched many videos and read reviews before coming here, but it just did not hit the spot. After a cold day of exploring Stanley Park, we felt that ramen would really hit the spot, so we went here not wanting to deal with a wait at Danbo with a hungry and tired toddler. There was NO wait when we arrived here and we were seated immediately... which for a place that was really hyped up, should had made us think twice. There was only 1 other party at the restaurant. Now, the workers were super nice and the food came out quickly and we did eat everything because we were starving. We all ordered the cha-shu tamago ramen, 2 of us got spicy and 2 of us non-spicy. It came with extra chashu and the soft boiled egg for about $20 Canadian. The bowl was a good size and there was a promo for free extra noodles while we were there. Everyone except me in our group took advantage of it because I was too full from my bowl. Now, the broth here is different from other places because it is chicken based and not pork based. Everything I had seen about this place promised the broth is every bit just as good as the pork bone broth... however, the broth we received looked flavorful, but was bland. It was completely bland. There was no richness to it, not even a hint. I don't know, coming from southern California, the flavor just was not there period. We did all eat our food because we were starving, but it for sure did not hit the spot at all. Maybe we got an off day? Otherwise our broth had literally zero flavor to it. We all wished we had tried the other ramen place instead right after trying our ramen. Would I come back? I will have to say definitely no. We do not live in Vancouver and I do not want to waste any meals on a place that did not taste good the first time we went.

The gentleman (owner?) greeted us and provided us with some suggestions on their best sellers. During our dining experience, he was a little loud with shouting instructions to the kitchen and we did feel a bit rushed to finish our meal and not occupy the table with diners lining up. I ordered the beef noodle soup, and the noodles were prepared well (good texture and not soggy) and the soup had a slight but not overwhelm sour taste from the preserved vegetables. The beef wasn't as tender as it could be, but it wasn't chewy or tough to eat. Prices are reasonable at around $20 after tax and tips. While it wasn't the best or most authentic beef noodle soup I've had, it does hit the spot if I'm craving Taiwanese food downtown or want a hot bowl of noodle soup on a cold day.

I think most people do that so it also gets filled up during the lunch hour rush. The food is ok, nothing special. The price increase makes it even less appealing. I don't know why there is chili in my Taiwanese beef noodle soup. I don't like spicy soup. Lucky I am ok with spice but I wish it is stated in the menu? So if you cannot take spicy food, check with them before ordering. The beef noodle soup is tasty as I do like the addition of pickled vegetables in it, giving a bit of tartness. The beef is tender though the quantity is very little. More noodles than meat ratio. The combo is totally not worth it now that the price has gone up to about $13. If you want rice and noodle for lunch, I think Peaceful Restaurant across the street is a better bet. At least the portion is bigger.

Bun Bo Hue (Small $16.19) - super spicy, but that's fine since I enjoy spicy foods. The issue was that the broth was quite bland, and the spiciness wasn't enough to make up for it. Usually, this soup base has a lot of depth and flavour from broth that's been simmering for a long time to extract those flavours, but this was probably one of the worst ones I've tried. Decent portion of meat, at least 3-4 large slices of Vietnamese ham and goor amount of beef slices. The noodles were SUPER undercooked! Good portion of bean sprouts, and came with 1 wedge of lime. Beef Brisket and Beef Ball in Noodle Soup (Large $17.62) - again, VERY bland broth. The noodles also tasted sort of like freezer burn? Decent portion of meat and filling enough. Just had to douse in Siracha and oyster sauce to finish the bowl though... Pork Spring Rolls ($10.48) - flavour was decent, nothing special. Deep fried okay as well. No complaints here but no endorsement either. There's no music in the restaurant either so it's a tad awkward. Staff are friendly. Lots of seating, including a patio area.
