Wonton in garlic and chili sauce
    Bonnie T.

Came here because of a recommendation from my relatives and I was definitely not disappointed. My first time here was 2 years ago and I ordered wonton in garlic and chili sauce, beef hor fun(rice noodle) and another dish. The most memorable was the wonton! I came again last week (I'm not from Vancouver so this says a lot if I travel and end up at the same restaurant) ! Ordered strictly the wonton in garlic chili sauce and it was just as amazing! I feel like the ingredients have changed a lot but it's a different type of deliciousness! This is a must try in North Vancouver and it's a plus if you can speak Cantonese! The staff are super friendly.

Combination Plate "G" $14.95 - Sweet and sour chicken balls with Szechuan beef and vegetables with chicken fried rice. Excellent!

We decided to try this place for a lunch take out. Ordered pick up as there's no dine in due to COVID. Friendly staff and good service. Place is clean and safety measures in place. I ordered two combination plates "B" and "G". It was a bit pricy for lunch $30 but both plates had a lot of food and taste good. I think they use MSG in their food which is why I can't give them full 5 stars. I say this because MSG makes me feel sluggish after I have it. Not long after I ate it I felt that way. I would recommend this place and look forward to trying it again when we can dine in. I'll be sure to ask that no MSG is added. I also look forward to trying other dishes.

The best wonton soup in town. Sweet and sour fish, Chinese brócoli with garlic sauce and chicken chow mein are delicious!!!

Excellent restaurant, very cozy and very affordable. Great and friendly service and the food is extremely delicious!!! Highly recommend chicken chow mein, wonton soup, mushroom rice and the best is lamb with ginger and green onions. We have been there twice and also asked deliveries twice for two home parties with great success. Hardly can wait to go back.

Okay so we couldn't decide where to eat tonight (date night) so we decide to go for drive and ended up on Lonsdale Ave. We parked the car and started walking and looking at menus posted on store front windows. After looking around a few blocks we decided on Chilli Lee's. We chose this place over the many others because of the display photos of food. It's a cozy size place. Seats about 20 people. We were there at 6:30pm so it's was busy with eat in, take out and deliveries!! (Free delivery btw) We ordered Spring Rolls, Hot & Sour Soup, Ginger Beef Fried Rice and Ma Po Tofu. The spring rolls arrived hot and crispy. The soup had good flavour but needed more red vinegar. We asked for the vinegar, they were out of red so gave us brown. It did the job. The Ma Po Tofu was perfectly seasoned The fried rice was cooked just right and wasn't mushy. Although tasty and authentic ... I am only giving 3 stars out of 5 because of two things. #1 the chef in the back yelled ... A LOT. And because I understood what he was yelling about it made eating hilarious yet unpleasant at the same time. IMO not professional. #2 They were busy, so our food order took a while to come. They should know Fridays nights can get busy and should schedule more staff for these times. Some take out customers we're getting antsy and kept questioning the waitress who in turn got after the chef who then started shouting profanities and pointing the finger back at the waitress ... hahaha good times ... good times.

Chilli Lee is our go-to for Chinese delivery on the North Shore (we've never actually been to it's physical location). It is consistently good, quick to arrive, the delivery person is always super pleasant and they don't mind us substituting for other stuff on the combo plates. Score! We're not a fan of spicy stuff in this household, so we tend to go for the more milder of things... of which Chilli Lee has plenty! Some of our favorites are the Wonton Soup, Lettuce Wraps (chicken), Dry garlic pork, Gyoza, Spring rolls and Lemon Chicken. Yum! The reason I'm giving them four stars is because their rice/noodles could use a bit of work. They always seem... off... when compared to everything else. While they lack in seasoning and flavor, however, a few dollops of soy sauce does the trick to help get things back on track. All in all, it's a good place. When comparing it to all the other North Shore Chinese delivery places, it /easily/ wins out. Give it a try if you've got the chance!

Chicken Balls with Sweet n Sour Sauce and A Side of Small Steamed Rice - $15-
    Aaron S.

I had the chicken balls with a side of steamed rice. I thought it was good but kinda expensive. They were however fast in making it, done in 10mins. The chicken balls were about 7/10 with just a bit too much batter n grease. 10/10 on The steamed rice it was absolutely perfect, I could eat just that for dinner or order it on its own. I wanted a combination box but they don't offer enough vegetables Ps. The fortune cookies here are cheap, stale and gross. I've had the same brand before and I've also eaten at this place before and sat down. I had the chicken & broccoli and it was much better than this!!

Great food, not too greasy like some places, and the food tasted super fresh. Loved the potsticker style pork dumplings!

Sometime after life started to normalize again, we did place a take out order from here. This is the first time though in a very very very long time that I have actually dined in the restaurant. Ummm...I'm thinking it might almost be the last time I dine here. Might not even get take out from this restaurant either. No issues with the quality of the food. The food is still very good. But holy smokes...this place has gotten super expensive! I came here for a quick and simple meal with my mom. We'd had a super exhausting day. We needed something quick and simple so we could head back home and flop on our beds. We ordered just one dish to share, which was a Vegetable Fried Rice. Whoa...this one dish came to about $30 when all was said and done! It's one of the simplest dishes one could order in a Chinese restaurant and it came to $30. Could have chosen not to order it because of course I did see the price on the menu before ordering it, so...realized it was gonna cost a pretty penny. But as I said, we'd had a long day. We were way too tired to get up and look for anywhere else to eat. So we stomached the cost and now...I think I will not be coming back to this restaurant again. Do I recommend the food here? Sure. The food is good, and the portion of our Vegetable Fried Rice was generous. We had lots leftover to bring home. But...$30 for a plate of fried rice? That's ridiculous. This place is way overpriced now.
