Overall the food was great. The portion sizes were very large and a good value. It was packed and can see why. I would say the best dish we had was the Penang curry and the sauce was nice and thick. The pad Thai had a sweet taste to it and was a little too spicy even at a two so didn't really get to enjoy it. It's rare that her spice craving is satisfied when we go out because she has such a high tolerance for spicy food. But she said the dish had a little kick to it....which means it was DEFINITELY spicy. (AKA I might not have been able to eat it.) didn't get a pic of her food unfortunately. It was decent. Nothing special. I was VERY excited about the kaow soi. Not many Thai places serve this dish. The soup base was good. Milky, as it should be. The noodles and chicken were good too. This place is great! No wait on a Sunday night and servers were all friendly. I ordered beef pad thai. This place doesn't serve pork, which is my usual. Boyfriend got the green curry. He got the smallest spice level, and when I tried it, it was still pretty spicy! I would be cautious about the spice level you get. This is coming from a girl that sweats when she eats hot cheetos though.. Food came out fairly quickly, and the portion was HUGE. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I ate that pad thai for four or five meals. You really get your bang for your buck here. Also got the thai tea because def needed to see if it was any good. Thai tea was pretty good! Still gotta say that I had yet to try any thai tea that has beat Bambu's thai tea. I thought it was funny that there was an extra charge for no ice (over a dollar)! I don't like my drinks getting watered down usually, so I typically ask for no ice with all my drinks since I tend to save it for the next day. Luckily, we brought our own pop up chair for our toddler, so we set ourselves up. Then the waitress came. She was nice and polite. We got our appetizers. Get the cinnamon pastry with ice cream. I love coconut ice cream so that's what I got with it but they have a few choices. I was tempted to try the Thai Tea ice cream but next time. I would skip the fries on delivery. The chicken soup spice level 3 was good but it didn't have enough broth which is why I docked the star. I hate not having enough broth. The container was awesome for delivery. Salads and other things should come in this amazing container that's recyclable. Highly recommend the pepper chicken although it's lacking in veggies especially onions and not very great on portion vs price but it's a reorder for sure. Over order so you have plenty to eat. We went on Saturday evening around 6PM and were seated promptly. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and I appreciated her checking in enough, but not to much to the point that she was distributing my friend and I's conversation. My friend ordered the pad Thai chicken, and she raved about how good it was, which is actually quite a feat because she's known to be a picky eater. I ordered the egg noodle and the presentation was a sight to behold (not complaining), and I was pleasantly surprised. The flavor was yummy and was a good solution for satisfying my desire of wanting a thicker soup and noodles at the same time. The portions are a good size! I have been coming here for the past few years and the quality of food and service has significantly tanked in the last 1-2 years. Food is inconsistently spiced when you order the same spice level on the same dish 1-2 months later. The meat quality varies a lot (especially for the beef), and the overall quality of service has gone down. We still come here occasionally, but are disappointed at how it has turned out. read more

Also had the crab woosen and the pad kee mao. Both dishes were way too spicy for a level 2! We could hardly eat it. The crab dish is very good and I would order it again except with no spice added. Food here is typically pretty good but I ordered something I didn't expect to taste so ....much. So, my bf and I came for lunch and he got the salmon bento, which comes with a lot and it's worth the price but even then, it was alright. We aren't the type of people to waste food so we will eat most of it. I ordered the Thai noodle soup, which I can get use to but it's not one of my favorites...I normally go for the pad woon sen or pad Thai, or the popular noodle dishes and massaman curry but this time, I decided to go a little out of the box which was a mistake on my part. I'm sure people like the Thai noodle soup but it was a bit too much for me. What's nice about lunch is we get complimentary soup which tastes excellent! I was hoping what I ordered would mimic that but I was wrong. I think the soup could've gone without the tamarind. It just tasted off and instead of savory, it was too sweet. The food at noodle wave is wonderful and the only reason why im not giving 0 stars--however, the customer service my friends and I received yesterday was beyond rude and unprofessional. While we were eating dinner, a staff member (who we later found out was the manger) asked us to keep quiet!!?? To be honest, my friends and I were confused and baffled at the weird request because 1) we weren't Loud, we were laughing at a joke 2) I'm pretty sure noodlewave is a restaurant not a library 3) there were no visible signs that any of my friends observed that stated that we must eat and not converse. Anyways, we all sort of ignored her comment and carried on with or conversations while waiting for and eating our food. After eating dinner, we were wrapping up and about to ask for our boxes to pack our leftovers, and a few of us were thinking about ordering some dessert. The same woman (who as I mentioned before was the manager) came up to us and told us that there are people waiting and if we could leave. Mind you, it was only 2 adult men who were waiting. Also we had not been sitting there just twiddling our thumbs and talking-- our whole group got seated at 720-30, ordered food around 745, got our food around 8, and were wrapping up to go around 830-840. So we weren't sitting there for an excessive amount of time. When we told her it was rude and unprofessional to ask us to leave, she just walked away. No apology, no explanation, just straight up walked away. Why were my group of friends targeted and why were we the ones told to be quiet and to leave?? I'm not sure why and I don't think I will ever find out because I will not be dining here again. The coconut chicken soup (Tom kha) was tasty. Served very hot and fresh. Be aware of the huge chunks of galangal you have to spit out. Overall good. People were still coming while we sat but we were asked which drinks we'd want to try right away and if we had any questions about the menu. We ordered take out from here for our family of 7 adults. The menu is broad and deep. We got about 10 dishes to satisfy everyone's cravings. We got enough food to feed us for two days for about $145 - a pretty good deal. All of the food was really delicious! I like spicy food and the spice level in these dishes was spot on. My only issue was how jam packed it was. I couldn't believe that in the middle of a deadly pandemic there were so many people in the restaurant. I counted about 40 and that didn't include the staff! I have been to both Frisco and Richardson Noodle Wave. I love that noodle wave Frisco keep the standard and serve amazing Thai food. I ordered the chili garlic whole fish(bone in). I know it's a little troublesome to pick out the bones but it's worth the trouble. The lime sauce is tangy and add on extra flavor on the crispy fish. The fish look small but it's meaty near the collar. The crispy fish skin and red shallot and garlic topping are great combo. We happily devoured the whole fish. We also ordered Khao Soi chicken with egg noodles and green curry with fried chicken. The food is generous portion and I have leftover for another meal. My friends ordered grilled beef salad and roti curry. They're very satisfied with their food, too. Our server didn't know the menu well but she went to kitchen to ask the chef for answers right away. Thai Noodle Wave Kitchen is the best Thai place we've been to! We traveled to Texas from New York for a wedding and were in the Irving area. We had some time to kill and decided to go out for a bite to eat for brunch. We had been recommended many places by friends, and decided to get some halal Thai food. The restaurant is in a large shopping plaza with ample parking. Our party of 4 arrived at noon and were seated immediately. The service was very prompt, respectful, and quick. There were a few other people seated, but the remaining tables filled up quickly as we ate. For appetizers, we ordered chicken spring rolls (4 pieces per order) and the chicken + shrimp wontons (5 pieces per order). Both were served with their respective sauces, and arrived quickly and served hot. They were both delicious. For entrees we ordered: pad kee mow, almond sriracha chicken, cashew chicken, papaya salad, panang chicken, and chicken satay. We also got a mango yogurt smoothie and a coconut yogurt smoothie. All the portions were huge, came quickly, and were delicious! We were blown away by the portion sizes as well as the impeccable taste. It's so nice to see a halal restaurant that is well-kept, has amazing service, and delicious food. I came here to catch up with a friend (in the middle of a pandemic!) and loved my experience. The restaurant is operating and following social distancing guidelines. They will seat you away from other people if you want to dine in, and all the workers are wearing masks. For our meal, we started with the crab cream cheese rangoons which were quickly eaten as they were so creamy with a nice crunchy shell (yum!). Our entrees followed soon after which were the crispy chicken green curry (level 4 spice) and pad thai chicken (level 3 spice). I was absolutely mesmerized by the appearance of the food and the plates were huge. One dish can easily feed two people (if you order the dinner portion) and we definitely had leftovers. I fell in love with the crispy chicken green curry. If you like chicken katsu, this is the dish for you. The chicken was so crispy and tender, and the curry was a wonderful, flavorful complement. I would order this dish again. The pad thai chicken was good and tasteful as well. I will say neither of the entrees were actually spicy, but I do eat spicy food all the time.
