I ordered the mongolian beef but I was so hungry I had eaten half of it before I realized I didn't take a picture. Their chicken wonton soup was delicious! Just moved next door and figured I grab something quick. What a mistake. The chicken had a days old taste to it which seems to be dumped in a sauce that had a gelatin type texture to it. Finally placed the order, When the food didn't show up in 45 minutes we called and were told it would be 15 minutes because they had to remake it. 20 minutes later Never showed up. Called again and told they were about to make it. So we cancelled. We had a great history here but being lied to after waiting an hour + isn't what you build relationships on or treat long time customers. Ditch this place. There was a bad sewage smell when I got out if the car. I don't know where it was coming from. I ordered Hunan chicken. My partner said it smelled bad and he could not eat it. We saw the location after an appointment nearby and were looking at advertised meals outside of the location and decided to order takeout. There was not a wait. We walked right in to the location. After looking at the menu we decided to order Hunan with chicken and fried rice and sesame chicken with steamed rice. The food was very good. The Hunan had a bit of a spice but not overbearing. Ok Yelp I admit it. One of those junk mail menus that gets dropped in your mailbox with shiny pictures got me. This is only the second time in my life, which let's face it is probably closer to the end than not. Anyway, second time falling for the menu in mailbox. First time did not work out too well, this time I'm pleased as a peach even though no peaches were involved in my meal. Most of the food was respectably executed and everything was flavorful. The human chicken had a nice kick to it and those baby corns that sold me on that dish were done right. Orange chicken while not panda level (no gets to panda level) was good and sesame chicken turned out nicely too. Accompanied with fried rice things hit the spot. Our appetizer was the generous portion of dumplings servers ironically with less than generous portion of the sauce but let's give them a break. So any bad? Yep. Online order system is spotty at best. I did not get a confirmation email or text despite giving both pieces of info. Other than that a reasonably priced and delicious meal was had. The food was good. We ordered delivery. I had the walnut shrimp, which is always my go-to. It had a lot of veggies that I dislike, including celery mostly. There were huge chunks of celery, yuck. I spend to much money at this location to not be greeted when entering the building let alone standing in 3 people face for 5 mins without a "hello" or "how may I help you". I dislike when employees intentionally avoid eye contact or any contact at that matter with a customer. I will be going to panda to get my "Hi, can I take your order". Ridiculous. read more

I ordered several appetizers and entrees from here. On the plus side, the food was ready fast, and one of my entrees, the Lo Mein, was very good. The chicken wings appetizer was not, in fact, chicken wings, and was also a half-portion of very tiny weird looking pieces. Same problem with the egg rolls (which are actually spring rolls) and dumplings, the portion size was smaller than most other restaurants in the area. One member of my family ordered the dragon phoenix. They added pineapple to it, which is a problem since the person who ordered it has a food allergy, and hence had to discard most of it. The description on the menu and the picture don't show pineapple. Restaurants really need to list out all major ingredients, especially those that are known to trigger food allergies. read more

My wife and I lived for years near this restaurant but had never been there. Finally one day, not happy with Pei Wei, we decided to try it. This food is so good. And the portions are amazing. We have only ordered to-go but the plastic containers they use are filled to the very top. Their website is easy to use and easily customizable without having to talk to anyone. Also it usually takes about 15 minutes. Lastly, I the pricing is great. We get our dinner (lunch tomorrow) for under $25. It's a real value. read more

Great Chinese take out!! I'm actually really impressed! Usually I expect Chinese take out to be a little flavorless, probably cold when I get home, dry, over cooked.... overall, not great. We got orange chicken and sesame chicken and both were really juicy and had a great flavor. It was still warm when we got home so we jumped right in. The restaurant looked really clean and updated compared to a lot of mom and pop Chinese places. They were busy but still really fast! This was my wife's and I first visit to the Rice Pot looking for a Chinese restaurant close to our home. It was a pleasant experience, quite good food and service. The owner, I assumed that was who he was, visited our table and asked if the food was to our liking. We all agreed. The portions were adequate for our restaurant consumption and a second round the next day at home. These seemed to be very hard working people trying to do a good job in difficult times. What I received was white rice with some soy sauce splashed on it. When I called the legacy location, they stated that this is how all side of fried rice looked like. I really like the Hunan chicken or beef here. My daughter loves the honey sesame chicken. The dinner portions are enough for two meals, so great leftovers the next day. I gave 4 stars because I didn't care for the Kung pao chicken. I wouldn't recommend that one because it was almost tomatoey, which was unexpected. Otherwise, good food. I noticed the new place and dropped by with my family. The food is typical for the chain. The menu is confusing. The permanent wall menu seems to offer lunch or dinner portions. There is a sign showing a special M-F lunch hours offering. I was charged the $3 more per meal for the dinner portion during lunch hours on Sunday. The clerk said on weekends, that is their practice. It seems like you can't get a lunch portion for the lunch price. I worked hard to ensure there was no communication issue. He seemed to fully understand; just not care.
