    Classic milk tea with boba
    Melody M.

Amazing food, incredible service, and nice ambiance. You are able to watch the chefs work, and the place is spacious and comfortable. I came here with my boyfriend and it was a sweet date spot! We tried a lot of food and it was all INCREDIBLY GOOD. My favorite was the boba. I didn't expect it to be so good. The classic milk tea with boba is one of the best bobas I have had. It might even be the best, but Id have to try them all side by side to be accurate. I drink a lot of different bobas, so that would be my credentials! My favorite food was my combo lo mein, of course. It allowed me to try many meats, my favorite was the beef! My boyfriend's favorite was also the combo lo mein (We tasted each others food) but he also really liked everything.

The beef roll was so talked about and hyped I had to get it and it was huge. Never tasted anything like it, it was delicious! Sweet and savory and crispy. The soup dumpling was good as any other place? Nothing special. The noodle soup was comforting and the noodles seemed fresh! Delicious food and a large menu selection

Days old dried out chicken pieces

I'll keep this simple. No Food: Very old tasting. Fried food cooked in old grease. Nothing I got was freshly made.

I stopped in for lunch craving good Asian fare. We have a ton of great options around Frisco, and was encouraged by the 4 plus star reviews. The service was excellent--super friendly, quick, and prompt with table checks. The food, however, left a lot to be desired. Presentation was decent but lacked flavor. If it weren't for the exemplary staff, I would probably given 2 stars.

    Mongolian Chicken

First and last time I'll go here. Their lunch "special" for $10.95 is a straight-up scam. We went on a Monday but even then we were the only ones in the restaurant. We ordered the Kung Pao and Mongolian chicken and what they serve you isn't even a lot of food. The Mongolian chicken tasted pretty good but the Kung Pao was just straight up celery and peanuts as in the photo. Fried rice tasted more like a brown rice and was lacking flavor and other ingredients that you would expect more of in a fried rice. And the egg roll that the special came with was cold in the center. Ambiance was okay and the service was okay, what you'd expect from any restaurant. I'm so surprised they've been open for 3+ years as there's so much other good Asian food in the area.

Went to this restaurant and dined in. My daughter had order to go but never ate inside. We had egg drop soup (forgot pic) came with crispy noodles. Veggie egg roll and crab rangoons, both were good, hot and fresh, side of sauce. We shared vegetable lo mein that we modified to have broccoli, carrots and cabbage and it was perfect. Last was orange chicken and requested white meat, it was hot, mildly spicy and fresh, so yummy! Staff was friendly and we will be back. It is very big inside great for small or large groups.

My order of Orange Chicken, Pork Soup Buns, and Fried Rice

This is one of my favorite places! The food is absolutely wonderful! If you go, you have to try the Orange Chicken and Pork Soup Buns. The service is great and the food is always served hot. There are plenty of spots inside to sit down and enjoy your meal. I can truly say that I am a repeat customer!

    Eggplant in garlic sauce

My husband and I come here with some frequency and tonight's meal was better than usual. I think they give more attention to detail when the restaurant is not full. On a slow night food quality can go either way for any restaurant but I think for Cookhouse it skews for the better! I highly recommend coming on weekday nights. Don't be put off if you're a foodie and see the place is empty, the food you get may be better this way as I found out tonight! Also a tip about quality: if you get any fried dish like orange chicken or general Tsao anything, please eat it in the restaurant. The quality is spectacular right out of the fryer but somehow turns into regular average Chinese take out after you bring it home in a container. For their prices, it's worth it if you get the good experience of dining in but you'll be disappointed you paid so much for what seems like regular food if you take it home. Other dishes that aren't deep fried are great take out options like the eggplant or string beans.

DS 2. Fresh Pork Meat Buns Special

We have been looking for a place like this around the area. The food was great and exactly what we wanted. Our waiter did an excellent job. Service was excellent and the food came out fast. The restaurant was clean and welcoming.

Trying to move my wife off her Rainman-like creature of habit mentality brings a degree of risk. Thankfully, she didn't feel like fighting me. And she will be the first to admit that she was glad I "forced" her into something new. The deviled eggs were well liked. The entrees for our group included the herb roasted chicken, burger, nachos, and prime rib. For the record, any time I see prime rib on a menu I order it just to see if I'll ever return to that restaurant. Needless to say, it was prepared exactly to specification, with a perfect balance of tenderness coupled with the au jus sauce. My wife, having sampled every plate on the table, couldn't stop raving about the overall quality of every entree. Needless to say, I now have a new "safe" restaurant to add to our repertoire. I hate to add it as a side note, but the service was spot-on and our waitress was a perfect blend of attentive without being disruptive. If I lived in Frisco, WB's would be our local go-to spot. Instead, we'll break out of the bubble and visit often.

Overall, the entree portions for the two items that we had were a bit small. I had the pork tenderloin. It was under seasoned and dry. Glad there was pleanty of mustard sauce on the plate. Wilted spinach was overcooked as well. My wife and daughter wanted to split the burger. This is something they have done often in other restaurants. At least they feel like they had a generous helping of fries. They each received half a piece of wilted lettuce and a quater of a red onion. It is hard to believe that this burger was voted "Best in Frisco 2024." The embiance was nice. We had great ecpectations when we were seated and ordered. We cannot complain about our service. It was memorable.
