Heard good things about this place from coworkers so checked this place out for lunch on a weekend. We thought we were getting ordering lunch portions but apparently you automatically get dinner portions on weekend lunches. We didn't know until we got the check. Summer rolls - a lighter and more refreshing roll. The peanut sauce was a little different than other peanut sauces I've had because it was a bit tangy. I would've appreciated if they used a different type of shrimp that was more crunchy but it was still good. Green curry with beef (level 3) - the curry was very creamy and wasn't as spicy as level 3 sounded. It had a lot of bell peppers and bamboo and a little bit of eggplant. There was also beef but it was a bit dry. Pad see ew with chicken (level 2) - it was not spicy at all. I should've asked for the maximum level of spice. The chicken was cut in small pieces and it wasn't dry which I appreciated. The overall flavor was good. Overall, a decent place for Thai food in Dallas. I just wish they told you that on weekend lunches, they don't have lunch portions available. read more

So since I'm new to Texas I have been on the hunt for a good Thai restaurant. I was in the area so I decided to try this place after reading the reviews . Loved the atmosphere, it was small but modern . The server I had can't remember his name but he was great . Attentive , kind and knowledgeable. I decided to order the veggie fried spring rolls . We were here recently to eat in. The service was good, but we were not so happy with the food. A spice level 2 basil fried rice was too spicy and it was difficult to eat it (this is our usual spice level choice at other Noodle wave locations). The Panang curry (another classic we always get at other locations) was very strong and too spicy for a 2- it needed something to calm down the heat. Almost felt like we were eating a curry concentrate. We usually love the food at the Noodlewave in McKinney, but the Frisco location did not live up to our previous experiences of eating tasty, well-spiced food here. We hope the restaurant makes note of the flavor balance in their food. read more

Been here a couple of times and always leaves thrilled with the food and service. They cover most bases of Asian dishes with a vast menu. Their portions are huge and reasonably priced. Clean inside with adequate spacing between tables. They are quick and efficient with food service. read more

Tried the Basil Catfish: wish the fish hadn't been quite so crispy, but the flavors are terrific and it's a generous dish as well. Recommended. Tried the Soft Shell Crab Woonsen: The breaded fried crab didn't add much to an otherwise lovely, eggy rice noodle creation. I wish I hadn't ordered it spicy, because I just got extra heat. The complexity is in the milder flavors. Would order again but a version without the crab. Will be back. read more

I don't know if there was something going on, and we didn't know about it, but when we came to this establishment, it was quite busy and just kept getting busier. I took that as a good sign that the food would be delicious. I was not wrong. From the customer service, to the prices, to the quality of the food, I was/am so impressed with this restaurant. We had the steamed dumplings to start, and I'm so happy I ordered them. They were delicious and the sauce was just great that went with them. The thing that impressed me the most was the child menu. For about $7, our children were able to get juice, a meal, and ice cream. I thought that was fantastic deal. The mango and coconut ice cream were both delicious! (Of course I took the mom tax from my kids ice cream). I got the chicken pad Thai and I enjoyed it a lot, but I had said I need it a 2 as in spice level, but my 2 is not the same as theirs. Their 2 is like my 5. I could hardly eat the noodles because they were just so spicy for me. I found myself eating more for my children's meals than mine because I could hardly take the spice level in my meal. The waiter apologized but did not try to make it better. I don't mind too much and still tipped very well, but I would a have been very appreciative if he'll try to make it better. I got the taro coconut smoothie as well, and it was not as sweet as I am used to, but it was a absolute life saver for calming down the spice of the noodles for me. Noodle Wave is one of mine and my bf's favorite food spots ever since we found out about the lunch special. It's $12.95 for two entrees with substantial portions, rice, an egg roll, and a really generous portion of ice cream at the end. They've even included a small appetizer soup every time we've been there too. We've tried the pad thai + green curry and pad kee mow (drunken noodles) + green curry so far, and everything has been delicious. Both were amazing but I'd say the pad thai is the better choice of the two just because there were more noodles. We definitely see Noodle Wave as being a regular part of our rotation - hopefully they keep this lunch special around! what a gem of a restaurant. We went in on the recommendation of a friend and the high yelp ratings only helped. Yelpers came through and faith in friend's recommendation leveled up to kamehameha levels. We were a group of 5, 3 big kids and two smaller ones. We started with the appetizer. Standard issue crab rangoons. Executed to meet all expectations. I mean really if you screw this one up you ... well ya know. Main course. Two of the big kids had the lunch special which came with chicken served two ways. Boy do these guys know the way of the chicken. Chicken no jutsu special. Me being the adventurous chap got the crab woo sen. Soft shell crab noodle dish. Picture looked good and I've never had it so so I went for it. To be honest I was a bit mystified when I got the dish. Do I eat the shell or what? Given how soft (doh) the shell was I figured I might as well so I dug in. I'm glad i tried it but ... not my cup of tea. At least not this preparation. We took a detour and ended up. The Resturant has a good ambience and was full. The menu is great. They even serve Malaysian tofu curry. It would be nice if they had curry Laksa. We ordered Yellow curry and Thai Basel chicken ( level four ) Our food I would say was not upto mark and would rate it 3 but service at 5. We wanted to replace Thai basil dish but they closed kitchen at 9.40 pm. Our bad luck I wish they can make food more flavourful and upto the level of spice. Our server was very nice. I used to be a fan of noodle wave, but after the last few times I went there, I will no longer be a customer. This place has become a total mess. They can't handle the amount of people going there and the service has really suffered. Every time you order takeout, the time is always off by over 15-20 minutes. I ordered at 7pm and was told 7:45. After arriving at 7:45, I was told it was being packed. 20 minutes go by and nothing. Waiting in a crammed waiting room. I was rudely told by one of the people there that she would have to check her iPad and then just she walked away. Lastly, the food quality has definitely diminished. We had the wings appetizer and it lacked any flavor and just was spicy. The roti curry used to be packed with flavor too, but was just ok. read more

Was pleasantly surprised at this restaurant. Food was literally outstanding. We had never been here, but had been in Plano and saw that it was listed when we were looking at different Thai food restaurants. I ordered the Bento box and ended up with quite a bit to take home as there was a huge amount of food on it. Everything was cooked to absolute perfection. Lots of assortment to try different flavors and it did NOT disappoint! Hubby had a special soup that was not on the menu that they made up, especially for him, which he completely devoured! He didn't leave anything behind but savored every drop. The staff was exceptional. Very attentive, and had all the answers for our many questions regarding the menu. Our waitress checked back several times to make sure we were satisfied with everything - which we most certainly were. We will definitely be going back here again and again. We got takeout again tonight. Even though the online order said 30 mins, it was ready and waiting when I walked in five mins early. I need to remember that for next time. My Pad See Ew with beef was just as good as it was last time. I asked for light bok choy because there was a ton of that and the Chinese broccoli last time, but there may have actually been more this time. My wife asked for no bok choy, and even though they wrote that on the lid, it still seemed like she had some, granted not as much as me. My daughter, who didn't like the Pad See Ew last time, got the orange chicken this time, and she thought it was fantastic. The chicken spring rolls are also very good. First time trying to Tom Yum noodle soup and was delicious. I've been to the other noodle wave locations and can say that Frisco is arguably now my favorite. It's kept very clean, they indoor dining is set up with social distancing in mind and the service was great (my servers name was Maryam - so on top of it and was able to provide recommendations, very helpful. Came here for lunch with my family on Saturday around 1:30 pm and we ended up having to wait about ten minutes for a table. We perused the menu while waiting and saw many things that caught our eye. We were all very hungry so we opted to order many things and try a variety of things. We started off with the almond sriracha and Thai style noodle wave wings. The almond sriracha wings were saucy and tasty! I wasn't a huge fan of the Thai style wings as they were basically bland fried chicken wings with a side of sweet chili dipping sauce. Not what I really expected. We also ordered the soft shell crab papaya salad which was pretty good. The soft shell crab was fried perfectly and we were able to eat the entire crab. The papaya salad was good but definitely not the best I've had. We also ordered the tempura Asian water spinach which was really interesting since I've never eaten fried water spinach but it had a delectable sauce that made it very addicting! For our main meals, we ordered the crab meat fried rice, roti curry, and the crispy chicken green curry. The crab fried rice had lots of meaty crab pieces and was very delicious! The roti curry was pretty good but was a bit too heavy for my liking. The crispy chicken green curry, however, had great flavors and the perfect amount of coconut flavors and heat. This was one of my favorite things I had. All in all, this is a pretty solid spot for Thai food! read more

Stopped in here for a meal with my husband. I eat gluten free and was happy to see a gf menu. My husband is allergic to peanuts. We were seated promptly but it took forever for our order to be taken once we received the gf menu. It was busy, but they seemed to be getting food out quickly. Our food took more than 30 minutes to arrive. My husband's arrived to the table first, and it looked great. Unfortunately, it was full of peanuts. My order came 5-10 minutes later. It wasn't the best Thai I have ever had. I ordered a curry and it had plenty of chicken and red peppers but only two small pieces of eggplant and two tiny pieces of green beans. I was disappointed but hungry so ate. The spice was right on at medium. My husband's second dish came out super quickly, lacking peanuts, and flavor. The service was slow, the food was mediocre. Our water glasses were filled regularly. With so many choices in Frisco, we will skip this place and go elsewhere. read more

Currently the best Thai place in Dallas hands-down. You're missing out if you haven't eaten here. Noodle Wave is #1 on my list of the best Thai places in Dallas because the food is so tasty, the portion sizes are pretty generous, and the overall the place just looks and feels really great and clean. There will most definitely always be a wait for dinner hours, not sure about lunch though, so make a reservation if possible. The Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao are simply amazing, with so much flavor packed in and more than enough to take home and savor the next day (unless you eat larger-than-normal portions). Every time I'm in Dallas I try to go here. It's that good. Do yourself a favor and go to Noodle Wave the next time you go out for Thai food. You'll absolutely love it. read more

Food is good but one of the girls working the front of the house could work on her soft skills. I wasn't able to catch her name but she's shorter and wears glasses. We Came to pick up food recently and saw her be rude to multiple customers waiting to put in/ pick up an order, and then scolded us after we asked why our food still wasn't ready after an hour. This is probably the best Thai place I've been to in Frisco. Atmosphere was nice, staff was attentive and polite, and the food was awesome. My family loved it. Lunch special: Green Curry, pad kee mow and veggie spring roll. There was also a soup of the day (not pictured) which was pretty good. I might get a full plate of pad kee now next time bc the green curry was too spicy for me :( it was good though. The special also comes with 1 ice cream of your choice per lunch.
