First off the lady/manager/owner running the front is RUDE. We called in an order and they hung up on us twice. She wanted us to prove the payment went through? So after all that we took the order home and it was wrong. 1 pad Thai and 1 fried rice. At home it was 2 fried rice. Call then back and argued and finally agreed to make it right. I went back and she wanted proof of payment AGAIN. Then asked for the wrong item back. I did not bring it back but showed her a picture. FINALLY They made it right and gave me a pad Thai. They are a franchise and every time I go, the food is good. If you're in town looking for an authentic Thai restaurant, look no further. Food we love! Service not good......two visits and both had rude and unpleasant service, appears to be the main waitress or perhaps an owner? Had a late lunch there recently, no one else in the restaurant but they would not give us the table we wanted. Soup arrived only warm, had to be sent back. Tea served with no spoon....refill was just hot water to pour over old used tea bag. No serving spoon to share one of the entrees or a knife to cut the large pieces of chicken. With any request the servers eyes rolled and made us feel uncomfortable. Too funny they charged us a $2 sharing fee but it all came on one plate with no serving spoon.....what was that fee for?? I really hate to write this, because Thai food is one of my absolute favorites, and my kids' too. We were excited to try Best Thai tonight (it's right across from our go-to Indian spot in Frisco). I can't speak to the atmosphere since we didn't go inside, but the service and delivery time were great. The food, though, sigh, just wasn't edible for us. We ordered three dishes for four people, and none of us could get past a bite or two. Even after spending just over $60, we'd normally just say it's not great but it's decent, finish it, and just not order again, but we couldn't bring ourselves to finish it. We actually all threw it away and ordered from somewhere else. That's a first for us, and it says a lot. I don't like leaving negative reviews because I know people work hard, but out of the easily 80-100 Thai restaurants I've eaten at over the years, this is easily in my bottom three. I love their curry's and seasonal dishes. We have been several times and the food has always been really good. Typically I go somewhere and get the same thing each time I go, but here everything smells so good and has has always tasted as good as it smells. The restaurant is nice and there is a lot to look at with the different types of decor. The staff is one of the reasons why I love to go. Each time we go they take the time to stop and talk to us and recommend different dishes based on what we've had in the past and taught us more about the food and culture. read more

The noodles were black it looked like it was dumped in soy sauce, the chicken was burnt, and there wasn't any sign of spice which we asked for. I called in and let them know how our food looked. We have been coming here off and on for several years and it hasn't disappointed. It's been a while since the virus hit, but we got back and it was just as good as I remember. The restaurant is in the corner of a building in a very "hipster" area adjacent to the enormous soccer complex and a bunch of lofts. The food was delicious and the service has always been terrific. I usually get chicken Lo Mein, but I am ready to branch out after tasting other entrees of the people I come here with. The servings are very generous and there is always plenty to take home. This restaurant offers a lot of the main Thai dishes you'd expect to find at a Thai restaurant. My friend and I both got Thai Green Teas, which were good but definitely very sweet. For entrées, I ended up getting the spicy Thai chicken and my friend ordered the pad kee mao. The food was decent but not as authentic as some of the other Thai restaurants I've been too. This place has been sliding for years. I've eaten at Best Thai for years, I'm talking maybe 15. At the other location off 121 when I was over there and then we were excited when we moved over here 10 years ago, and this one at Frisco Square was here. But... started getting it less and less frequently because it just wasn't what it used to be. Tonight was the last straw. My wife and I go to the restaurant to eat and when we get there, order some spring rolls and drinks. She has the cranberry margarita (supposed to come with candied cranberries) but it doesn't. Ok, let's not worry about it, not a big deal. I have a Kirin. We agreed on the way there, she can get what she wants and we'll split it and we'll order things like appetizers, etc. After the egg rolls, we split an order of cashew chicken, because this is what my wife wanted. This is a dish she has ordered many times from here. So, it comes and it's a relatively small portion and we start eating it. I'm thinking, damn, this tastes like shit but I don't want to rain on her dish here. So I'm slowing eating it. It tastes dirty or something and wrongly sweet. I can't put my finger on it but it's gross. She's eating it and finally says, "This doesn't taste good, I thought it might be my sinuses or something, what do you think". And that's when I tell her, man, something is wrong with this, tastes like somebody spilled some mop water and sugar in here. We call the waiter over. He's nice and I tell him something's wrong with this, something's wrong with the sauce, perhaps the chef messed it up. He says well, the sauce is all made at the beginning of the day. He asks if we want them to try to "fix" the rest of it. Huh, no. He says he'll see what he can do but you guys have eaten almost half of it. Manager lady comes over. She basically tells us, you all have already eaten nearly half of this, we're not going to make another dish. I said I didn't want her to remake it. I said, listen, let's make a deal, make a small portion of curry noodle, no meat or anything to help them save cost, and we'll call it good. That's when she says, well, we can't do that, all the portions are already allotted. I said, so you can't take a half portion with no meat or just noodles and veggies and do that. She's not budging. Really, some noodles and veggies and curry powder? She says, we can do a kiddie portion of fried rice, no veggies. Wow, I'm saying, so you can't throw any veggies in the fried rice? Nope, just a kiddie portion with some chicken. I ask her to throw in some bean sprouts at least, she agrees on that. No, let me set the context so it's clear. We've ordered a $13 drink that wasn't made right, my Kirin, an appetizer, and an entree, so we're 40-something dollars in here and you can't throw some noodles or rice with veggies in to make it right? I'm trying hard to work with them. She's quizzing us about whether we've had the cashew chicken before (like we're a couple of morons that just dropped in from Podunk, AR or something). Seriously? My wife orders it all the time, I've obviously eaten it with her. I've eaten it at probably 20 thai restaurants. Really? I'm sick and tired of restaurants offering crappy food for prices like this. When I mean crappy, I'm talking the oil they used to stir fry the meal must have been 5 hours old, you could see burnt pieces in the sauce. I should have taken a picture. Guessing the sugar taste came from the last 40 dishes done in the same oil. She brings us some "fried rice", ok it has bean sprouts, at least. So, I drop a 50 in this place for a beer, one drink (not made the way it said, missing a key ingredient), a quarter (at best) of a mop-water-tasting entree and some meh spring rolls. Oh, yeah, and some rice, yeah, plain rice with a thin slice of chicken in it. Really? I'm done here. Now if you like your food cooked in the same oil as the last 100 dishes and lousy fried rice, meh egg rolls and petty nickle-and-diming, go for it. I'm out, permanently. read more

Could definitely go up one spice level next time. The crab rangoon's were excellent. Very crispy and cream cheesy and don't forget to dip it in the sauce!
