Coffee macaron
Jenny C.

I passed by this Noodle place and saw a fridge outside with giant macaron ice cream, it was staring at me, so I gave in and bought one, The taste was so good full if coffee flavor and the crust was still crispy! The cashier was friendly and wrap the giant ice cream for me to take home. Ofc, I will eat it immediately, I made a right choice. It was refreshing and soothing my sweet tooth. I sat down in the open area enjoying my ice cream while scrolling and writing reviews for Yelp lol . It was sunset and kind a windy and cool for the afternoon.

Chicken noodle soup with triangle noodles

Pretty good overall for mall food! I know they have other locations but this was my first time trying Noodle St in general. We got the signature beef noodle soup with standard round noodles, and the chicken noodle soup with triangle noodles. The broths were light, clean, and not overly salty, and both came out piping hot. There was a lot more broth than meat and noodles though and just looked very different from the menu photos so I was a bit disappointed with that. The beef noodle soup broth comes with a clean broth like langzhou style whereas the chicken noodle soup broth comes with a richer milk broth. Both were delicious and I'm glad we ordered both so we could try the different styles.

If you're looking for noodle soup at the mall this is the spot. The food has been very consistent every time I go and the portions are large sized. My go to dish is the spicy beef with knife cut noodles. The flavor is bold with a nice kick. My only complaint is that the knife cut noodles weren't as thick as they usually are and they ran out of the tripe.

When I used to live closer to Arcadia, I loved going to Noodle St anytime I was at the Santa Anita Mall. Now, even years later, Noodle St has maintained the same consistency and quality that I remember from a long ago. I really only get their signature beef noodle soup. The broth is very flavorful but adds a lot of room for you to add in other things you like, such as chili oil. The noodles always have a great texture and chewiness to them, with 4 options that you can choose from. I particularly like the combo of daikon and beef slices they have. The wait time was about 20 min on a Saturday at 2pm, which speaks to their popularity when competing against all the other options at the mall! Workers were friendly and polite. I always enjoy visiting this location!

Qinghao cold noodle - it was ok
Emmelynn G.

It wasn't terrible but it wasn't amazing or recommendable. Pros: the food came out extremely fast. No exaggeration, it came out to the table 1-2 minutes after ordering. The staff was efficient, the place was clean, and the price wasn't too expensive. Cons: the food just wasn't amazing. It's not something I would recommend to friends or family. The spicy beef noodle soup lacked flavor and the beef wasn't tender at all. The qinghao cold noodles were better but I wouldn't come back here just for that. Overall, it was a bit disappointing flavor wise.

SAVORY BRAISED CHICKEN NOODLE
Karen L.

We went on a Friday afternoon but because it was a holiday we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. We ordered the spicy beef noodle soup, braised chicken with noodles, scallion pancakes and spicy chicken wontons. We asked for mild on the beef noodle soup but it wasn't spicy at all. Luckily they do provide chili sauce at the table to adjust the spice level. The flavor was a little cilantro/mint forward and it was a little on the salty side. The braised chicken wasn't that spicy either. It was tender and the flavor was good. The scallion pancakes were a little dense and didn't have much flavor to it. Our favorite of our dishes was the chicken dumplings. I think I could have eaten 2 orders of this dish. Overall the speed of service was good. They provide bibs to wear which I would highly recommend wearing since you do end up with splatters from eating noodles. The open space of the restaurant was a little distracting but clean.

Beef noodle soup was so good

Definitely recommend dining in rather than taking out! Decided to give this spot another try and I had a much better experience eating at the restaurant than ordering takeout! Arrived on a Saturday at noon and it was slightly busy but service was attentive and friendly. Loved that the open kitchen setup so I could see the staff making the noodles from scratch! Got the Spicy Beef and Tendon Noodle Soup ($16.50) and I really enjoyed it. I loved that the spice level could be adjusted so I got the mild. There were 4 different noodle options - standard round, flat, knife cut, and triangle. I got the knife cut and it was so fresh and chewy. The broth was rich and flavorful without being too salty or spicy. Wish there were more chunks of beef shank and tendon but not a big deal! Really enjoyed how the beef tendon was very tender and not too fatty. However, the beef shank was a bit too dry and rough in texture for my preference. Overall, I enjoyed the noodles and the broth, as well as the beef tendon! The Signature Beef Noodle Soup ($15.50) was good. Really enjoyed the noodles since I got knife cut so it was very fresh and chewy! Definitely recommend their knife cut noodles! The broth was slightly too salty and I wasn't a big fan of the broth because it tasted a bit minty due to some of the herbs and spices used perhaps? I didn't like the beef since it was too dry and rough but I still ate it all because I don't like wasting food. Overall, I definitely enjoyed the Spicy Beef and Tendon Noodle Soup more than the Signature Beef Noodle Soup. Also, I liked the noodles much more than the broth and beef.

Small open space for Noodle St at the mall right across from Din Tai Fung. Easy to spot and find with delicious handmade and fresh noodles! Pros: -fast service. Received take out order within 15min from ordering at the cashier. Food is packaged nicely and neatly. -delicious food -variety of handmade cut noodles -fresh watermelon juice -open space for table seating makes it feel free -service is friendly -big bonus - own restroom!! Cons: -none I wish they offered a lunch special on weekdays!!

It's been awhile since ive had this place and id really shocked how great everything was. The beef rolls were really flavorful, but slightly too much cilantro for me but still really yummy. The spicy wontons were really great full of flavor and not too spicy. The tomato egg over rice is such a classic Taiwanese dish and this place does it really well. I honestly think this is probably the best food spot in the mall other then ramen nagi. The prices are super reasonable, the service was really fast but couldve been that it was just empty when i went.

Noodle street has some of the best noodles trust me when I say that because I'm a ho for noods. we ordered the Chicken noodle soup and Spicy Beef noodle soup. The knife cut noodles were sooo chewy I absolutely loved it. It's usually busy on the weekend, but it was quite empty when I went. Service was quick and good. Food came out in like 10-15 min. Total for the two bowls were ~$35. Definitely recommending ‍

Signature Beef Noodle Soup with flat noodles. Fun eating with such a big spoon!
Myrine S.

Stopped in for a quick meal. Service was prompt and friendly. Enjoyed the signature beef noodle soup but wished there was more beef. Only came with a few slices. Broth was rich and flavorful with the added chili oil and dark vinegar. Came with lots of fresh noodles. You have a choice of: standard round, flat, triangle and knife. The fresh watermelon juice was a great way to end the meal. So sweet and refreshing.

Egg Tomato Handcut Noodles is my absolute favorite! I always get this with a watermelon juice when I'm in town
Winnie L.

This is still my favorite go to noodle place. I always order the egg and tomato knife cut noodles. The peach black tea tastes just like Snapple back in the 90s. So nostalgic. The green onion pancake is 5/5. I can munch on these as snack all day. DD loves her dry noodles with minced meat and watermelon juice which can now be sweetened. Came here for an early dinner. No wait. Great service.

Beef roll is ok, just a bit sweeter than I expected, and it contains too much green scallions, which I don't like too much.

I met a friend here for dinner and had a great dine-in experience. We both ordered their "Original Nagoya Mazesoba" $15.29 and got their Karaage $8.99 to share. It was my first time here and I figured the famous original dish is always good. The noodles are thick, and all of the strands had their own little bounce to them, just the way I like it! It arrives unmixed so I also enjoyed vigorously mixing it myself and seeing it all come together. I especially enjoyed popping the poached egg on top and seeing the egg oooozing, paired with the minced pork, green onions, chives, dish powder, seaweed, and garlic. They have really perfected the recipe here to make the perfect dry noodle dish! If you dine in, the servers will also bring you a scoop of rice. I didn't really understand it at first as to why, but I later finished my noodles and thought "oooohhhhhh!" FYI the rice is used to pick up the rest of the delicious sauce left on the bottom of your bowl and it makes for an extra carb-filled surprise. The perfect way to end a noodle dish by the way, with rice for more carbs, duh! My only feedback, and I was indeed warned by my friend, is that the noodles make you a little thirsty. My friend told me she thinks its their fish powder seasoning that somehow makes you just feel like you need to chug a glass of water, so just make sure to bring a little extra water with you, haha! Also, fair warning here since you made it this far to reading this long review. The seats were very loud to move around in the dining area, and we can just about hear every squeak the metal chair made when anyone moved their seat, too! Other than those things, the noodles are a life I've already been raving about Menya Hanabi to my friends and will definitely come back!

Ambiance is nice with shades drawn over the windows and strong AC. There's bar and table seating. I got the deluxe mazesoba ($18) which comes with charsiu, minced pork, poached egg, and green onions. There's a good amount of chewy thick noodles underneath. Very flavorful- so much so that I recommend adding vinegar to lessen the greasy taste. Upon request, you can get a free scoop of rice to mix into the leftover sauce. I remember they used to give a full bowl but now it's just a scoop.

I also haven't had Li Lao San's Lamb Stew with Flatbread / 李老三牛肉泡馍 in a while, so that was a must-get. This is my favorite thing of all Xi-an cuisine and a traditional dish as well. Recently, I noticed the lines disappeared so we came for an early dinner. The interior is pretty cool. It's kit just tables and chairs but the design element is unique. Some seating are inside a honeycomb shaped booth, some are just in the middle of the dining area. We were seated at a table that resembles a birdcage. There's a lot of wood and warm colors, which makes the ambiance stand out over other ramen places. We ordered a ramen, omurice with katsu, some skewers and popcorn chicken. The spicy ramen was delicious, but there was no soft boiled egg as shown on the menu photo. All I saw was a broken egg white at the bottom of the bowl. 4/5. The omurice was nicely done. The egg was perfectly soft and silky with a nice curry sauce in the side. The katsu that came with it was crispy, hot and tasty. 4.5/5. The popcorn chicken was great. Perfect seasoning and crispy. 5/5. The skewers however, were the low point of our dinner. They did not appear they were cooked fresh. The meats were dry and tough. The scallops were OK but tiny. Chicken was average. The whole order did not satisfy. We also got an Amazing Lemonade and Thai iced tea. The lemonade was a very refreshing drink, and the Thai tea is just like all other places. Our server, unfortunately forgot his name, was excellent. Very personable and great at describing flavors. The friendliness extends to the rest of the staff too. It's a nice place to check out.
