This used to be a favorite place for my boyfriend and I, but we discovered today that it is under new ownership, and the recipes have changed. The sukiyaki we used to love is awful now. It's missing some key flavors, and has a crappy bland sauce added. We also miss the friendly family who used to run it. So maybe the prices are a bit spendy when you're ordering for several people, but I still love this place. The crab rangoons with plum sauce are absolutely phenomenal! I order extra sides of the plum sauce and add that to my chicken fried rice as well. I sometimes wish that the rice portions would be a bit bigger for the price, but the flavor is good. The crab rangoons are never too greasy and are always hot, fresh and the perfect texture. My sister absolutely loves the Thai tea here and even my picky younger brother thought it was good too! The dining in has a cute atmosphere, friendly servers and decently quick food preparation time. Best Thai food for at least 50 miles in any direction from Eugene/Springfield. Now, I know you're thinking, "Why that doesn't really mean it's good at all!" But let me reassure you it is some tasty stuff and they know what they're doing. So far, I've been 3 times, and I have yet to be disappointed. I've had the Red Curry with Noodles (twice) and the Green Curry with Noodles. I've ordered each of them "Medium" each time. I like spice, and I found them hot. Wonderfully hot. The Red Curry is naturally slightly less spicy than the Green, and the waitress is happy to explain this to you. The first time I got the Red Curry it was deliciously spicy without being too hot. The second time I went and the Green Curry at medium was borderline too hot for me -- but delicious nonetheless. On my third visit, I got the Red again, again at medium, and this time it was a little hotter than I recalled the first time -- very nicely spicy, not quite borderline too hot for me, but closer. So wonderful. All three times I had a beer to help with the spices I've also had little tastes of other people's Pad See Ew and fried rice, and they are well made (though not my top picks for food.) I've also really enjoyed their spring rolls and fried egg rolls. Nice sized, presented in a pretty manner, and very tasty. I get some of each when I go. The Thai Iced tea is standard in that delicious I don't want it to be different sort of way. I always have enough leftover for lunch the next day... but someday I hope to have room for dessert. And the service is very friendly and helpful. ---- edit: I mistakenly claimed that they make their own noodles. They don't. Love this place! I visit family in this area a few times a year and always come here! The pad Thai with chicken is my favorite, and you must try the spring rolls with the sauce. Update: Tried a "Thai Spaghetti" curry the other day and major bonus points to Noodle 'n Thai for cooking a curry spicy enough to actually make me break a sweat / start to cry. I had awful allergies that day and wanted to clear up the sinuses. Key to success: ask for "Thai-level spicy hot". Not impressed. All the times ive eaten pad thia is wasnt sweet in the slightest bit. Their pad thia is overly sweet almost to the point where you cant eat it. To add on to the $7 it is for pad thia its another $2 for 10 pieces of chicken & 3$ for a side of penut sauce is ridiculous. I would not recommend this place or return ever. read more

My hubby and I tried this place today, instead of our usual Ta Ra Rin, and I'm so glad we did! It was super flavorful and delicious. It was empty on a Saturday, late afternoon, which made me question how good it would be. Where were all the people? But being the only ones there just meant quick, attentive service. We started with an appetizer called golden sacks (snicker), that was basically 5 egg rolls, but instead of being rolled up, they were a in little sack form tied off with green onion. Creative, yummy, and stuffed full of veggies, meat, and vermicelli noodles. Hubby got pad ke mao, our usual, and I branched out with pra ram - noodles with house made peanut sauce. The pad ke mao was full of flavor and ingredients. It was tastier than any I've had before - I was jealous that he ordered it instead of me! My dish was great, too. The sauce was a little sweet for me, but once I doctored it up with chili oil/sauce, it was on point. Lots of veggies and chicken too. The portion size was generous with leftovers for us both, and prices were average ($10-15/dish). We left super satisfied, planning to return soon to support this hole in the wall in sleepy downtown Springfield. Check it out! read more

Don't be fooled by the appearance of this place, it's kind of a hole in the wall, but sometimes those are the best tasting. I love this place, I always order to go, but the waitresses are very kind. As far as I've seen it's always clean. The food is so yummy, we always get the yellow curry, pad Thai and pad si ew. But I've never had anything that's bad, their Thai iced tea is really good here too. read more

Ordered the pad ke mow, and it's flavor was amazing, until the heat set in on bite 2. The "med" spice was so insane that I couldn't eat it and I LOVE spicy food. Unfortunately the owner would not fix the issue and instead insisted that I had to pay for another dish if I wanted to be able to enjoy dinner. So here's the math. You don't lose money on a dish that was made too spicy. You actually make more money off of me in the short run as I had to order a second dish. But now I won't come back to your restaurant ever. Don't be deceived by the rundown exterior or the tape-patches on the bench seating. The food I got here was excellent! I stopped in moderately hungry for dinner, and opted for red curry tofu - a standby of mine when trying a Thai restaurant for the first time. When I placed my order, I was surprised to be simply asked "mild, medium, or hot?" Rather than how many stars. I ordered hot, and was it ever! This shamed the five-star hot meals I've had elsewhere! And the flavor was great - not just hot. Crunchy bamboo shoots and peppers, married with an ample amount of Thai basil, and stir-fried tofu were superb! This is my favorite thai food restaurant in town. Despite its humble atmosphere, the quality of the food and flavor rises above the rest. Their Pad Kee Mao Or drunken noodle is a particular favorite. The Thai iced tea is also the thing to get. Would definitely recommend this to anyone I meet. read more

Noodle N Thai is all-holy!!! By far the BEST Thai food around. We live in South Eugene but make the trip to Springfield weekly to eat at this place! You literally can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Their soups are just plain good for your soul! One of my favorites is the Native Beef Noodle Soup (I'm drooling right now thinking about the broth.) And I know it's a simple dish, but the Thai Fried Rice has soooo much flavor..even with tofu it's delicious! Add a Thai Iced Tea and I'm set. . . My wife and I tried to eat at a favorite restaurant last night only to find it closed (sad, sometimes reality sux) Driving through town we decided to give Noodle-n-Thai a try, not expecting much, but I remembered good reviews here. Long story short, still sad about the other place being closed, but that said we now have a new favorite. Just wish it was closer to home (we live in Junction City). We were assured by the party at the next table we could not go wrong and that medium would be hot enough. Almost correct on both counts. When traveling, my husband and I like to try local restaurants. We both like Thai food and this restaurant showed up on yelp! and we decided to have lunch there. We tried the appetizer sampler plate, chicken satay, spring rolls and the pork Khao Rad Kra Prow. Everything was very tasty. My husband, who loves heat, asked for priki nu to add to his dish, the Khao Rad. He has traveled to Thailand several times and said it was really good and that he was pleasantly surprised that it was such authentic flavor. We agreed with several other reviewers that "hole in the wall" location could be a turnoff, but what it lacks in ambience is more that made up for in the quality and tastiness of the food. I love Thai food and enjoy dining out EXCEPT this restaurant. The "medium" hot curry was too aggressively hot. I had to have ice water after the first bite, then after the second bite but all I can say is I could not taste anything but pain in my mouth and throat. I have heard good things about this place so my wife and I decided to stop in for lunch. The place was empty except for the one waitress who was sitting at the far end of the bar when we walked in. She asked how many of us would be eating and when I said there were two of us and said nothing more. She walked over to a booth and tossed two menus onto the table and walked back to the bar where she had been perched and didn't say a word to us. We sat down and perused the menus for about five minutes with still not one word said to us. No mention of food specials or offer of drinks. Looking around the worn out dining area made me think twice about spending money on food (if it ever made it to our order being taken) that would be comparable with their service. Had lunch here just now. Gotta say, I'm not impressed. And I'm surprised by that. I have co-workers that rave about this place. I had the chicken pad tai, and it was served as a big lump with all the noodles glued together. Sliver of carrot, but no basil or lime to be found. Taste was OK, but could have used seasoning, and the table was bare of salt, pepper or hot sauce. Server never came back after plopping the food down, not even to give me the check. I had to get up and ask.1970's dinner furnishings and duct taped seat cushions are the decor. Not sure what to do, I really wanted to like it. I am vegetarian and they have the best mix of veggies in their dishes that I have encountered in the dozens of Thai restaurants I have tried. The tofu is cooked perfectly. Hands down the best Thai I've had! We ordered the appetizer sampler which was very good. The shrimp and fried tofu just so-so, but all the other inclusions excellent! For the main course I had the Pad Thai with medium heat. One reviewer stated that the medium heat was hot enough for most sane people, so I was worried it would be too much. It was perfect, medium but on the hot side, not insane. No sweating or sinus clearing, but definitely a prominent heat that still allowed all the other flavors to come through. Next time I will go with hot and see what happens. I'm accustomed to cilantro and lime with my pad thai so they brought that on the side. I was in heaven! Eat here, you'll be happy. read more
