    Golden Sacks
    Nishika T.

I'm glad I came here to try the golden sacks but I have to say it was just mediocre Thai food. The yellow curry was very thin and watery and felt like it didn't have many things inside. The golden sacks are like egg rolls so I would recommend getting one of them, not both as they are a bit oily. I wish the peanut sauce was a peanut sauce... it was some oil based sauce with crushed peanuts on top only. Overall okay food, if you like spicy make sure to let them know! I didn't find my food very spicy.

Good and fast service. Huge variety in the menu. Serving size is enough to be satisfied yet both us women cleaned our plates. Nothing left. Restaurant is clean inside and outside. Good vibe. Would come back. 4.8 stars

Spicy Fried Rice, Spicy Basil, Pad Thai, Spring Rolls Deluxe
    Joana B.

Ordered through DoorDash and we were not disappointed! The process was super quick and arrived on our doorstep still warm. One bite of the Spicy Chicken Fried Rice was all it took for me to fall thoroughly and completely in love. The Spicy Basil Chicken was tender and flavorful and the white rice that comes with it was great as well--it was not clumpy or overcooked in the slightest. We got mild for everything which was perfect--although I can handle heat, Thai food always seems to be on a whole other level. We also ordered Chicken Pad Thai and the Spring Rolls Deluxe which are definitely honorable mentions compared to the aforementioned items. Is it bad to place another order within just a few days?....

This is the best Thai food I've tried, and I'm picky. So much flavor and decent prices. I highly recommend trying this place. Great service, clean restrooms. The pictures are after some was already dipped out because once I tasted it, I had to write a review! I'll definitely be back.

Every time I've gotten food from here it's been excellent! Full of flavor, good ingredients and nice presentation. Great prices too. I have tried the Panang curry, a stir fry, and pad Thai and all so so delicious! I look forward to trying more dishes there. Most of the time I've had the food delivered and it traveled well (not all food does). In the restaurant Fit was clean and I received friendly service! Definitely going back. Feel like this a hidden gem in downtown Springfield.

Hands down best Thai food I've had in Eugene or Springfield since moving here a year ago! I saw it awhile ago and I knew since it was a hole in wall looking restaurant it would be so good. You walk in and the smell makes you just want to eat everything. It's incredible. The worker we talked to was really nice! They have specials each day and my husband got one of the specials the day we went in! He got the Cashew Nut Mango Tofu and it was sooo yummy! I got the Chicken Pad Thai and it was the best Pad Thai I've had (that's what I've always gotten). It's equally sweet and savory. My husband always get Thai Coffee with no milk because he is dairy free and this is the first Thai place we've been to with a dairy free milk option! It was yummy too! Seriously I couldn't say enough and it's 11:30 pm and I wish I could go get it right at this moment! Haha

Pad Kee Mao - all onion and bell peppers, no tomatoes. Basil was good.

Have to say, I try really hard to not nit-pick and point out negatives- but having a hard time finding something I liked. Very clean, parking easy to find and the decor on back wall was attractive. The cute valentine hearts on the mirrors... basically that's where the love stopped. I would imagine the woman who was the server was actually the owner or manager as, in my opinion, no restaurant in their right mind would hire someone that would represent the restaurant that way. It was as if it was an irritation that there were customers. No hello, welcome, good-bye, thank you or even come back soon. I'm not looking for friends or to be coddled but honestly, that was a first for me. Sat at a booth, menus set down and she was gone. Had to wait far to long and basically wave her down. There were two other tables leaving, no other customers. Food was not for me. I should have read the menu closer as the Pad Kee Mao was very surprising at lack of ingredients. The good thing was that hot meant hot! That I liked. Had to wait at counter to pay as she wasn't coming back. Two customers came in for take-out, she barely recognized them either. Seems alot of other reviewers like the restaurant, so it might be for you. We went out of our way to go here as it was a recommendation - we really like to support Springfield businesses but this became a regret.

    Drunken Noodles (very good)

As we were traveling across Oregon, the family found this restaurant in a quiet town of Springfield. We didn't see many people walking the streets so we were a bit skeptical. There were 12 of us so we decided to try it out. We were surprised how good the food was. All the food were cook to order and very authentic. The best drunken noodles and fried rice we ever had. The orange chicken and chicken curry was good as well. Parking was not a problem. Like I mentioned, it was a quiet town and didn't see much people on the streets. We were able to park right in front of the restaurant. I did notice a parking lot across the street. It was a great stop for us.

    Panang curry tofu
    Julia T.

Came back here and tried the panang curry tofu for lunch. The curry wasn't the best I've had, it wasn't super flavorful, and it was a little lacking in the veggie department. The lunch portion was pretty decent for $8.50, large enough that I could split it into two meals supplemented with some more veggies. There are probably better places in the area, but the lunch prices are good here.

    Heart shaped rice! Cute!

I ordered the Tom Yum soup with Shrimp medium-spicy. It came out with great flavor, and had a bit more kick than I'm used to (which was fine). Service was good -- they refilled plenty of water for me. It seems to be a family-owned restaurant (they had some younger kinds hanging around, which I always appreciate). The building itself is a bit run-down. And while I'm not really familiar with the area, the neighborhood also seemed to be a bit sketchy. However, it was cozy inside, and the food was good, so I would definitely return.

Our go to is always Sabai's seafood Pad Kee Mao, but this place serves up an excellent value with the same freshness and delicious flavors. Shrimp were decent and quite a few onions, but otherwise it was perfect! Tom Kha Soup - Loved the scratch made goodness with all the lemongrass, galangal and ginger pieces. It seemed to be lacking some acid, salt and sweetness but maybe it was just an off night. The fried tofu was tasty, even though I usually prefer fresh tofu. 4 stars. The owner was so kind and friendly - you can't help but want to support families like theirs. Sounds like the previous owner had health issues and this family came down from Portland to take over. I went in expecting a quick bite and left wondering if I should cancel my flight and commit to a long-term relationship with their menu. The service was the kind that makes you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit: attentive without hovering, friendly without forcing it. You know, the sweet spot most places miss by a mile. The ambiance strikes that rare balance: polished enough to feel like you made a good decision, but relaxed enough that no one's judging you for aggressively enjoying your curry. Now, the portions. Let's just say I arrived hungry and quickly realized I had made a tactical error by also having a flight to catch. The plates are generous. Borderline ambitious. Under different circumstances I would've happily taken half of it home. And the price? Genuinely refreshing. You get high-quality food, generous portions, and excellent service without that subtle sting of regret when the bill arrives. It feels almost suspiciously reasonable. I walked in trying to kill time before a flight and walked out wondering if I should start scheduling layovers in Eugene on purpose.

I had high expectations at this restaurant because the reviews on Yelp and local people raved how…read moreamazing this place is. I came here on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was bustling. We got seated right away at a booth with a window view. My waitress was an older Asian lady. She was very nice, not too talkative, but she was on top of her things. I was craving soup and decided on the highly recommended tom kha with tofu. To start, we had thai tea, thai coffee and the shrimp triangle. For our entrees, we decided on the pad see eu (they spell it pad se eu here), panang curry. The shrimp triangles were very yummy. Definitely get those. The thai tea and coffee was good, but just a little watered. I expected the taste to last in my mouth for a little bit. But it didn't. For the soup, I was excited to taste the soup! It smelled really good and it was boiling hot. My thought after my first sip of Tom Kha was, ok, this is good, they got it, but it just wasn't quite there. I couldn't pinpoint what was missing. Then I figured out that they didn't use full coconut milk. It was just a little bit and it was the lighter version. How disappointing! I wanted the robust tang, spice and coconut like how I have at home. The entrees made me sad. I really, really wanted to love it. The panang curry should be rich, thick and creamy. Instead it was soupy. I was really expecting and wanting the curry to stick to my rice, but instead it made soupy curry rice. My daughter pointed out that the curry and the tom kha soup was the same color and consistency. I didn't want to believe, but I think they used the same base and added the appropriate toppingss and seasonings to make a soup and a curry. My saddest dish was my last one that came out. It was the pad se eu. The wide rice noodles was wet and in broken pieces. I'm Asian and I'm from Vegas via Hawaii which means we have a lot of Asian cuisines, we know our food and have friends who work in high end Thai restaurants. (Think Lotus of Siam) When rice noodles break into smaller pieces, it means the noodles are probably not fresh and got hard. To soften, the cook used extra water and the heat was not high enough to cook, so it stuck to pan, making the cook mix it around more...broken wet noodles that doesn't brown. Overall, I really wanted to love this place. It has potential. Maybe it was an off day but on that day I went, it didn't give me the wow I expected. Most of the items has the taste on point. Please don't water down the curry or use lower fat coconut cream. I'm not used to having regular brocolli in thai food either, but I guess this is what Eugene likes or what we can get. And people, share your food! Thai food is family style! Share it! Put it in the middle of the table and let the other person have some! I was people watching around my table and my table was the only one that didn't have our own entree per person. lol

I ordered the pad thai with beef and crab fried rice (to go). My sister ordered the red curry. The food took a long time! Our server was avoiding our table, no updates on the food or a 'sorry the kitchen is backed up'. There were lots of people ordering take out, after our food order was placed. The restaurant got busier. It took about 30 minutes to get our dinner. The Pad Thai was very bland, one tone tasting. There wasn't much beef, veggies or flavor. The noodles were all clumped together, broken chunks. Usually the Pad Thai is served with beans sprouts, lime wedges, crushed peanuts on the side to mix. I had to ask for the lime wedges. The lime wedges helped the blandness, added a punch of flavor. For $18 pad thai, I expected way better especially for the long wait time. My sister enjoyed her red curry. The crab fried rice was extra fishy smelling, which was off putting. I felt the crab was bad or going bad. Crab isn't that smelly, neither is imitation crab. We got the bill and we were still waiting an extra 10-15 minutes for the crab fried rice. We were there about an hour, mostly waiting for our food. The service wasn't superb. The food wasn't good for Thai standards, super disappointing. I wouldn't come back.

The hot Thai tea is unsweetened and came in a pot, great for a chilly day. The pad Thai noodle soup was yummy. It had a bunch of chicken and squid, the rice noodles were cooked well, and the broth was flavorful. I ordered it extra spicy and there was definitely some heat to it. The pad mango with tofu was fresh with big chunks of mango and tofu that were seasoned well. The sampler was also nice to share amongst 4 people. There were 3 sauces: sweet/sour, peanut butter, and a refreshing one that looked like pico. It came with 3 pork wontons, 2 egg rolls cut in half, fried tofu, and 2 chicken satay skewers. The guy who works there is as nice as can be. 1 star for salad rolls. It says "fresh vegetables" but the roll had one miniscule piece of tofu (1/2 inch wide?) and the rest is pure lettuce. I think there were a couple mint leaves in there. No carrots, cuke, cilantro, or any other kind of vegetable you can imagine, and barely any tofu. Peanut sauce was delicious and worth adding to the order, as the chili sauce it comes with is ok but syrupy sweet. Adding in the peanut sauce for $2, that came to $10 for lettuce. Inflation is hitting us all hard... restaurants included. But tofu and carrots are not that expensive, right? And if they ran out of ingredients, they should just say so. Yelping about petty things is not a nice thing to do. This review reflects my frustration about a broader pattern that goes beyond this one restaurant (which is why I don't include this in the star rating). Eugene restaurants often do not try to keep up basic standards because there's insufficient competition, and they get away with things that wouldn't fly in a big city. I wish more restaurants, including food trucks, took pride in what they put on the plate.
