Nice place near Dgates. Not many options in Milwaukee airport so good to grab this one, the service was very good. Food was decent and came quite quickly. Ordered veggie tomato basil panini with upgraded fries and chicken pizza with pesto drizzle. Panini was smaller in size but good and was made fresh. Everything was great and realized later that this was the last place to close in that airport so luckily made it in time for the dinner. Thankful about that :)

I had dinner here before heading back home. Stopped in for something relatively quick. The sandwich was pretty good. Had not had a meatball parm in a long time.

Extra pepperoni, extra well done. Very good choice

Great service. Great drinks. Really good pizza. Some of the other places around this gate are as pricey but with ok service and mediocre food. Check this place out

Pretty basic restaurant. Cheese curds were good. Pizza was very simple when it comes to ingredients (not sure if it used fresh ingredients). Very quick service.

Hmm.... Don't know how to gauge the service.... I came in, was immediately forgot about... apologized to.... Ordered drinks and pizza, about 35 mins later, no pizza.. had to inquire about it... knowing I only intended on eating to toppings which made the wait even more irritating.... Ordered another drink...... a truly.... and since.... 25 mins go by and monkey has checked on me.... I wanted to close out since I ordered the last drink.... Guess I'll just leave?

The food ended up being good, but it took way too long for airport takeout. We waited over 20 minutes after being roped in that it was 10 minutes or less. We ended up eating it on the plane.

The service here was seriously five stars. Rashunda was manning the grab and go counter and she was quick to tell me all of my options. All of which were available quickly! They also have a decent seating area across from the grab and go counter, it was a nice option to grab my food and have a table to eat it at. I went with the pizza. It tasted like pretty standard frozen pizza, not bad by any means, but not great. There aren't a ton of options at this side of the airport. I would certainly eat here again due to the friendly service and convenient dining area!

Paul Bartolotta - if your Nonna had the pizza we ate today, she'd throw you out of the kitchen. AND as the chef responsible for bringing Top Chef Season 21 to Wisconsin, Tom Colicchio, would never consider permitting you into Last Chance Kitchen. He'd just tell you, "Paul - it's simply inedible". Shame on you for calling your prefab no flavor dough & canned tomato sauce on a disk a pizza!!!

$33.99/12pk.. check ur bag... Really upset I won't get to taste the seasonal flavoring! :( :/

Woman bagged me the regular instead of the seasonal! Check your bag if you buy some to bring with you...too expensive to get the wrong kind!

Despite the frigid temperatures, the place was very busy! Given that, we weren't able to be seated before our reservation time but that was fine, we hung out at the bar for a bit and the host grabbed us and guided us to our table with expert care. I do wish we didn't have the table closest to the door as there isn't a ton of places for folks to wait and they weren't always courteous about not leaving the door open for those of us already inside. But the window vantage point was nice, as was the birthday card signed by the staff (and I just realized that in our haste to hustle back the several blocks to our car, we forgot it at the table! We must seem so rude!). Ally was our server and she did the best she could with the general busyness at 715 on a Friday night. She did have some assistance with the food delivery by other staff, which I did appreciate as things took a while due to the aforementioned popularity of the restaurant. Food-wise, everything was very good overall but didn't quite stick the landing: - Clam chowder was creamy but a bit heavy on the parsley and not served with crackers. I really love that crunch of the oyster cracker with the cream of the soup. - Bolognese was a very generous portion and the short rib was excellent, but it needed just a little more sauce to keep everything moist. - The tiramisu was several layers and looked perfect, but while the marscapone was delicious, the booze flavor was way too strong for a teetotaler such as myself. Despite some opportunities, this was still a very wonderful meal!

When you arrive, there is a bar with a seating area. There is also another seating area with a separate bar, which is where we sat. What I noticed first is that there are TVs set up throughout the restaurant playing Moonstruck, the 1987 movie with Cher and Nicolas Cage. It runs continuously, and I think without sound. I didn't have a direct line of sight, but I did notice it a few times throughout the evening. It's a quirky thing, and I like it. The inside is dimly lit, but bright enough to read menus and make out all the essentials. The lighting on the bars is a rich red, and it really sets off those areas. The walls are adorned with photos of iconic Italian female movie stars like Sophia Loren. I liked the classic vibe. The place was very loud. We were seated right away and settled in with waters, drinks, and menus. Our server did a nice job walking us through the menu details. It's mostly specialty pizzas, with a few appetizers, salads, and a couple of entrees. For drinks, there were a couple of Santino Sangrias, which were unique in that they included gin, a nice touch. There was also a Paper Plane Martini, which was very good too. I mentioned before that it was loud, and it was especially loud with a large group behind us. It got much better when they cleared out. I noticed that they have sound absorbing materials on some of the walls, which probably helps, just not enough. For dinner, we started off with a couple of Caesar salads. They were a good portion and easily shared by two. The dressing was fresh and the right amount. It was a great start to the meal. I would have liked to try the calamari, but nobody else was interested, maybe next time. There were three pizzas at the table, Margherita, Paisan, and a make your own with cheese, sausage, mushroom, and onion. I decided to be different and tried the Gigante Meatball Plate. The pizzas are Neapolitan, with bubbly, charred edges. All of them had excellent presentation and flavor. Neapolitans are not known for their sturdy centers, so you have to hold on tight to keep everything from sliding off. As expected, the meatball was very large. It's served with penne pasta, which was okay, though I would have preferred spaghetti. The sauce and cheese had good flavor. A solid entree, though not amazing. We were celebrating a birthday, so we saved room for a few shared desserts. We tried the flourless cake, tiramisu, and the chocolate hazelnut gelato. They were all good choices, satisfying, but again, not amazing. Lots to like about this place. Nice atmosphere, great service (thanks Tommy), and an excellent selection of pizzas. Would come back again, and this time order one of the specialty pizzas (Da Vinci).

From the moment you step off the elevator onto the 9th floor of the Trade Hotel and see those stunning views of the Deer District and the Milwaukee skyline, you already know this place is different. This is not just dinner, this is an experience. Let me start with the calamari. I have had calamari at millions of restaurants, and nothing, I mean nothing, comes close to what they are doing at Il Cervo. It is perfectly seasoned with a confidence that tells you immediately the kitchen knows exactly what they are doing. Every single bite is proof that this is not a kitchen cutting corners. This is a kitchen that cares. Then came the focaccia. Oh my goodness, the focaccia. House-made, rosemary sea salt, fluffy and golden, with that perfect crisp on the bottom that only comes from knowing how to truly work dough. I could have eaten three of them and called it a night. It is the kind of bread that makes you realize most places are not even trying. And the wine? Their selection is thoughtfully curated with bottles from across Italy and beyond, and the staff actually knows what they are talking about. They guided me toward a pairing that elevated every course. This is not just a wine list, it is a whole journey through Italy in a glass. Now let's talk about the pizza, because this deserves its own paragraph. Sourdough crust, wood-fired, expertly fermented, Il Cervo is doing things with pizza that no other restaurant in Milwaukee is even attempting. The crust has this incredible chew and char, and the toppings are balanced like a fine piece of art. I grew up eating pizza my whole life, and this pizza made me rethink everything. For Milwaukee? This is next level. This is a different category. The ambiance is sophisticated without being stuffy, the service is warm and attentive, and those skyline views make every visit feel like a special occasion even on a random Tuesday. Il Cervo is not just a restaurant, it is Milwaukee's crown jewel, and if you have not been yet, you are genuinely missing out on the best meal this city has to offer. I will be back.
