Friends have been telling me about Saraphino's. I didn't think it could live up to the hype. It was everything I was hoping for. We came inside, it is a little dated, but clean. The service was great and we had our orders in pretty fast. The soups hit the table first. The chicken dumpling made me feel like a kid again. Great dumpling to soup ratio. We all ordered the chicken parmesan. These were massive chicken breasts, cooked really well. Way more spaghetti than I could eat. Great service, good food! read more

I stopped here because a chicken Parmesan sandwich on garlic bread sounded good. I walk in and the place is empty except for one table so I decided to get take out because I hate eating in empty restaurants. The new woman asked what I wanted and I said a chicken Parmesan sandwich on garlic bread and she asked what kind of bread I wanted and I state garlic bread again and explain my order again and the other woman noticed that she is ordering the dinner, chicken Parmesan with pasta and garlic bread for $16. The other woman corrected the menu and showed her the sandwich section for $11.44 and the extra $3.95 for garlic bread when the sandwich already comes on bread so just brush the garlic butter on my bread ? and just my sandwich comes to $16 now the same price as the entree with pasta ? What ever and she says my order will be ready in 30 minutes. I look around the restaurant and say are you serious because the place is empty. I'm thinking most of my restaurant sit down orders only take 10/15 minutes on average and I would completely walk out at 30 months so I'm completely confused because I could sit at a table here and have my food in 10/15 minutes. I tell her I'm not waiting 30 minutes for a sandwich in an empty restaurant so cancel my order and give me my money back so she walks to the kitchen and now it's a 15 minutes wait, cancel my order and give me my money back so I can go somewhere else. I could deal with the stupid math way that they got my sandwich only up to the price of the entree which is the same exact dish only it includes pasta with it which is more food but 30 minutes in an empty restaurant was the deal breaker. Your response is very true and accurate but please understand that if I sat at a table in your restaurant at the same moment in time it would have been 15 minutes of wait time for my food like any one else and not a phone order etc so the person standing in front of you like the person sitting in front of you should have the same consideration. You would never have a live person in your restaurant go the back of the line for a phone/door dash/on line etc. after a 30 mile round trip just to visit your restaurant was a complete disappointment. When the person who makes an effort to walk into your restaurant gets put to the back of the line of people ordering from the ether gets priority over someone who made no effort to come to your restaurant is disappointing. read more

The food is delicious. The presentation on deliveries is not the greatest as they use Styrofoam containers, which makes everything look so messy and stained. Service is not the best. When you call the restaurant, they say hello but not the name of the restaurant you're calling. I've ordered delivery twice and each time they forgot one of the items. The delivery staff were great. just be hesitant when you place an order as they may not include all the items. read more

My Family is new to the area. This part of southeastern Wisconsin has a lot of dining choices. Today is August 26, it is very hot outside right now. I myself was looking forward to pasta salad. My middle daughter had off from work today and asked if we could go out. I have been hungry for a really good spaghetti dinner for sometime. There are a number of good Italian restaurants in this area. I had a spaghetti I can tell you it was outstanding. You can just tell when the sauce is made from scratch, the meatballs were handmade, and of course the garlic toast was cut from whole Italian loaf. And in addition to that it was very reasonably priced. The mom and pop is located right on Layton Avenue near the airport. I highly recommend. Our waitress was a very nice lady, very attentive. Even though it was warm outside, my daughter and I decided to try the chicken dumpling soup (we try the chicken dumpling everywhere we find it) it was very hearty and not too salty. We live not too far away from here, and definitely will be back. Kind of a hidden gem as it's in a strip mall, but definitely worth the stab. Cheers! read more

Ordered Pizza and wings. Recieved pepperoni instead of peperccini on pizza and plain wings instead of mild hot sauce as ordered on- line. Called to explain- perhaps my order got switched up with another. Was told it was not a mix- up and they could bring a cup of peperccini peppers over to remedy the situation. After realizing they were serious and that was all they could do- I contacted the on-line company that manages their orders - they too could not do anything to make this right. I was robbed out of about 65 bucks. I am dedicated to die on this hill - justice will be had. read more

They don't honor the prices on their website. I called in and ordered the 16" thin crust pizza with 3 toppings & 8 wings for $18.95. I also add an order of breaded mushrooms. The order taker came back with a total over $29. I repeated my coupon price of $18.95 and asked if the mushrooms were $10. The order taker said no the pizza and wings are $20.95. I then asked for a manager or owner. Received an answer of sorry they aren't here. Then I asked for the manager on duty. Sorry manager is not here. I asked for the person in charge. We don't have one. I asked why don't you honor your prices on your own website? I don't know. My last question was do you think you should honor your website price. The order taker responded with a Yes. I said cancel my order and hung up. I used to like this place because it isn't a chain and I try to support local business owners as much as possible but I will recommend to anyone thinking about trying this place to try Pietro's on KK or Pizza Hut in Bayview. I was craving pasta. And as I sat on my couch watching The Office, I contemplated going to the store to purchase the worlds cheapest ingredients for one of the worlds cheapest meals. Then! My fiancé said she didn't want to go out to the store and offered to pay for delivery if I found a good Italian place, which brought me here. I LOVE those unhealthy gelatinous Mama Mia type Italian meatballs. So that's what I wanted! I ordered the meatball spaghetti and Rachael ordered spaghetti with meat sauce. I'm not sure what it is about homemade meatballs for me, but I've never had good homemade meatballs. This was was no exception. I feel like the breadcrumbs in the meatballs makes it chalky. Idk, I guess I'm weird. Aside from the meatballs, the spaghetti was absolutely delicious! I LOVED Rachael's meat sauce and so she offered to switch with me. Now that's true love, amiright?! Each meal also came with two delicious pieces of garlic bread. The portions were also very large, but I'm happy for because like I mentioned earlier, these ingredients are so cheap. I created a Yelp account specifically for this place. I came in last night and ordered a pan pizza and some breaded mushrooms as an appetizer. The mushrooms were watery and tasted totally unseasoned, but they were tolerable. The pizza had far too much cheese and not much of the sausage I had ordered. The cheese was hardly melted and it was revolting. I told the waitress and asked if I could at least have a discount. She sat down and proceeded to ask me what I was doing in Wisconsin (I had told her in the beginning that I'd just moved here), as if I had no business being here, or something. Puzzled, I said I'd moved here for work. With a funny smile, she said "Okay, just curious," then got the owner. That guy was something else. He was straight of Kitchen Nightmares and told me all his customers loved it (and that he's been there for 33 years) and that I should take it home so he wouldn't have to throw it in the garbage. He said "What if all the customers said they didn't like it?" I told him that was none of my business and he said it was as I was making him throw it away. He kept insisting it was great food, then told me to get out and I left. I've seen places like this on TV but was never in one. Don't come here. The food is awful, the management is insulting and a bad joke, and you can see from their reviews on Google that they don't care -- read the one about him telling a customer who complained of finding metal in her food that she put it there. It's a hard pass from me and if there is anything I can do to take away business from this place, I will. Way to make enemies out of your customers. read more

I like both their 'ghetti and meatballs and their pizza. It's a good neighborhood Italian-American place with pretty quick and accurate service. Saraphino's was a regular option for my old company to order when feeding an army of workers. Their pizza is above average, their fried chicken is average at best, but their delivery was always prompt and friendly. For the price, it couldn't be beat. It had been years since I dined in, but a few of us from the office stopped recently and it was good to see that the quality was still solid. I had the chicken parm. I might have done a Payton Manning impression. I was pleased. A coworker had the Italian beef and another had gnocchi. Again, all entrees were solid. Nothing earth shattering, or on the cusp of setting new culinary trends, but that's not what they are trying to accomplish here. Here I go again... In Milwaukee, with a taste for Italian.. Yelpers pointed me to Saraphino's. It's a small restaurant in a mini strip mall, that you would never just happen to run into. It's like your Uncle's place.. older decor, small staff, Aunt in the last booth, reading the paper. The food is amazing.. I ordered simply.. spaghetti and meatballs. Wait before you click off.. the soup was really home made not the BIG can type, the sauce is REALLY good, the garlic bread was made for my order and not burned. :) I was not a fan of the meatballs but I am from the Northeast, where meatballs are just made differently. The owner came over to ask about the food..when he heard my response..he was very appreciative of the praise. If you are ever in the area, you should check it out.. Definite repeat.. :) read more

I have ordered the 747 at least twice the second time while reheating the pizza the cheese did not melt must have been parmesan, when I ordered the chicken bucket my breast was cut down to only The Ridge around the chicken there was no white meat on my breast . Just left Saraphino's after an unplanned dinner date with my husband. He got Chicken Parm, I got Manicotti, and we shared Mozzarella Sticks. Overall, the food was very good! Something I would absolutely love to order for take-out and watch crappy TV while eating. The restaurant is definitely a hidden spot, but the quiet atmosphere was nice. The mozzarella sticks seemed like they might be the frozen bagged type sold by commercial food retailers, but they were good regardless. The only change I would make to our food overall would be a Romaine mix for the salad (picky, I know) and a mix of cheeses atop the manicotti instead of just mo The service was great and fast, and again - we were satisfied. Ordered through Yelp for delivery. Was told it would be an hour, which at 7pm on a Monday night seemed excessive, but I really didn't feel like going out. 90 minutes later my food finally arrives. To go box was wrapped in foil and when I unwrapped it, it looks like this. Appears like someone forgot the delivery, popped it in the microwave, wrapped the box in foil and called it good. I have been eating here for at least twenty years. The food has stayed the same and the prices have barely changed. The wait staff is consistent as well. Their meals come in absurd portions. If you order spaghetti it comes with two pieces of garlic bread, a nice salad or soup (I'd recommend the salad), as well as a couple scoops of decent ice cream for dessert. You can get all that for under ten dollars. All their red sauce dishes are cooked properly and are above average. Their pizza is good but not great. You can do better in the general area. This probably sounds silly but their fried chicken is where it's at. It is a nicely done home style fried chicken. Since they are primarily an Italian restaurant they don't cook the chicken in huge batches. They use raw chicken and bread it themselves. They fry hardly anything at Saraphino's which means the fryer oil is always clean. The orders of chicken are always perfectly crunchy, juicy, and thoroughly cooked. If you have the chicken delivered it comes in a paper basket with a thin piece of paper affixed to the top. This allows the chicken to breath and keeps it crunchy. Usually, when something fried is delivered it ends up soggy and chewy. There is nothing fancy about the interior. The establishment keeps things tidy and clean. You're not going to have a spiritual revelation eating their meals but you can do far worse without even trying. Although, if you love fried chicken a revelation may be in the making. read more

Its been a while! I just so happen to stumble upon up this pizza joint! I haven't dined here but i have eaten here. I ordered the pizza 747 which was huge! It was thin crusted and cheesy as all hell! A friend of mine had the Lasagna and he said that it was excellent he went back for more the very next night. I did have a chance to check out the inside of the restaurant. It was old school Italian if i could take a stab at describing it. I will go back and do a little adventuring around the menu. If I could give Saraphino's 0 stars, I would. Pasta was bland, pizza was greasy and nothing was fresh. Salads were bland. That's just the food. Furniture was dated and the place is like you're walking into a flashback of the 90s. If you're looking for good Italian food within the area with a nice atmosphere, I recommend Di Carlos in Oak Creek or Pasta Tree on the East side, rather than this monstrosity of a restaurant. My family has been ordering from here for 22 years. Best Manicotti, Italian sausage is TO DIE FOR, really good gnocchi. The cannolis are fresh and delicious which is really hard to find around here unless you go down to Third Ward. Was beyond impressed when I tried them for the first time last week.
