Updating my review after 4yrs of eating here, usually pickup pizza to-go, maybe 8-10 times/year. I just really love this pizza. We get a plain cheese thin crust and traditional sauce for the kids and a sausage and onion thin crust, traditional sauce for us and it's consistently crispy, fresh, and I could eat an entire large by myself; it's so hard to stop eating when it's there in front of you even if you bought extra to eat the next day...bad habits, awesome pizza. read more

Ok I used to love there garlic bread when they first opened it was fantastic, but I was just there Friday and it was different why I don't know it tasted more like a soda bread. Service was very pleasant, bartenter seemed nice. I think next time I will try the sweet sauce. it's a nice place just need to get there bread back! read more

Placed pickup order for 1 pizza on 3/7 at 5:27 pm, told 45 minutes. Arrived at 6:10 pm and paid for pizza at the bar. At 6:30 I asked bartender what the status of my order was of my SINGLE 16 inch pizza. By 6:35 pm, was told that the order hadn't even been started. Asked for money back, was offered a $20 gift card despite order being $27.34...how does that even make sense? Extremely rude female bartender did end up providing full refund. Terrible customer service, much better places in the area and should have known better. Would not recommend, not the first time this place has failed based on the reviews. Four of us had the buffet on Mother's Day. Ample choices, but primarily breakfast items with a number of petit fours for dessert. Scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages, potatoes and fruit. $20 per person is on the high side for breakfast. Great service, flowers for the ladies. read more

Let me preface this by saying that I love the atmosphere, the service was amazing and the owner was so incredibly nice and welcoming. I also absolutely loved their homemade meatball and the garlic bread was pretty solid too. Now onto the pizza, for being a pizzeria the pizza was really a let down. The crust was very clearly store bought (which they said was true). But the pizza just didn't have a lot of flavor and the crust was super hard. I'd give the pizza a 4.5/10. I would possibly come back in the future to try their garlic bread pizza or meatball sub just because both of those are made in house and were pretty good on their own. Our first trip out, I'm so glad we did. We decided to try their pizza. I have to say it ranks up there some of the better pizza in this area and we've tried them all. Pizza came out hot and the crust was perfectly done and not burnt, plenty of cheese and the sauce was excellent. Very nice to see young people working hard with excellent service. A very nice experience and we will certainly be back. They are also supportive of our community, which is just an added bonus. Good job.! read more

I've been looking forward to trying Brama's Pizzeria since I found out they were coming to Germantown last year. I waited until after their opening week due to how crazy busy they were per social media. My family ordered a 16" hand tossed crust half cheese/half pepperoni pizza with traditional sauce, a 16" thin crust half sausage/half meatball pizza with sweet sauce, wonton mozzarella sticks, and garlic bread. The garlic bread was good. Very comparable to Mama Mia's in that it was large chunks of bread soaked in garlic and butter. I don't think theirs was as salty as Mama Mia's, which could be good or bad depending on what you prefer. Of the two, I liked Brama's more. The mozzarella sticks were bland. I do appreciate that they were obviously hand rolled and not store bought, but if you're going to bake them and not fry them, at least dress them up a bit with garlic butter before baking or sprinkle parmesan or Italian seasoning on top afterwards. I feel you lose a bit of flavor when you skip the deep fryer. I primarily ate the thin crust half sausage/half meatball, but I tried a slice of the hand tossed cheese as well just to be able to compared the two crusts and two sauces. Of the two sauces, I vastly preferred the sweet sauce. I thought the traditional sauce had an odd taste to it and the sweet sauce was more traditional than sweet. Ironically, the hand tossed crust was pretty thin other than the outer edge that wasn't covered with cheese and toppings. I thought the thin crust was better due to the crispiness of the outer edge and the toppings seemed to stretch further towards the edge. I liked the sausage, but the meatball was my favorite of the two. They were moist and had excellent flavor that weren't masked by the cheese, sauce, or crust. The pizza was straight out of the oven when they handed it to me, so it didn't have time to settle and congeal. A large portion of the cheese on the half cheese/half pepperoni pizza slid off the pizza at some point between when they boxed it up and when I got home. It wasn't hard to scoop it back onto the pizza, but it didn't make it look all that appealing. My wife didn't necessarily love it, but I thought the pizza from Brama's is a fine addition to Germantown. There are a couple of other places within reasonable driving distance that I'd prefer to get pizza from, but I'd also be willing to get Brama's again. read more

Margarita pizza was tasteless. Dough was premade and frozen. Thin crust was like eating a stale cracker. They used balsamic dressing instead of red sauce. More sauce on the box than on the pizza. Two inches of no sauce or toppings around the edges. Zero care and thought went into making this simple pizza. read more

The sparsely decorated walls create a generic offputting vibe, only rivaled by the cold attitude of the owner. Food was MID at best. The salad lacked dressing and was skimpy on toppings. Asked for more dressing, it had no "zip". We were charged $4.50 for the extra salad dressing! Spoke with the owner, who said he made our salad and it had plenty of dressing. He did eventually remove the charge, but was clearly angered by our asking. Pizza had no sauce and was flavorless. Initially pizza came out missing 2 toppings. Waitress asked if we wanted it remade fresh or "fixed" up.. We opted for a fresh pizza, but received our original one back. Garlic bread was dry and shy on both garlic and salt. Drinks were good. The pizza might have been the worst I have ever had. the sauce was flavorless, the crust was rubbery, and it wasn't hot when it arrived. The staff clearly needs more training. Pizza was just okay. Really very basic taste, very little sauce (got the traditional sauce), but lacking any flavor. Garlic cheese bread also just kind of plain, no garlic flavor. Would not go back for pizza alone, maybe for drinks at the bar. Bartender was busy but steady, helpful and nice. Women's restroom was pretty dirty, and not just from that evening, definitely a lack of cleaning over time, which is always concerning. First time here and it was amazing. The server was very kind and attentive, he was a young man with long hair. The food was awesome. I got spaghetti with their meat sauce and added meatballs. The mat chunks in the meat sauce are pretty big so I didn't really need to get the meat balls but they were delicious anyways. My boyfriend got the Brama 's Special Pizza on thin crust and he really liked it. The ambiance was definitely Italian, the tablecloths are checkered, the music is like Italian dinner music, and they serve beer and wine for alcoholic drinks. read more

Excellent prompt service. We got calamari rolls which were delicious. My cocktail, named Florence was a delicious. We got the Brama's special pizza and the New York crust was delicious, plenty of cheese and the sausage was cut up meatballs and onions. It was done to perfection. We will definitely be returning. My family and I went Ash Wednesday after mass to have a family dinner. It was also Valentines day so people were out for that as well. We got to the restaurant at 730pm and were immediately seated. My family is large (we have a total of 8 people) so sometimes a walk-in can be challenging. If they weren't going to accommodate us we were just going to get some food to go. Ambience 1 out of 10. Anyways, we were immediately seated in the very rear of the restaurant. We were next to both bathrooms, the rear exit and the kitchen. After being seated I decided to walk through the dining room to see if we could be seated elsewhere and the restaurant could easily seat us in the dining room by putting a table together. It wasn't too busy and they could've easily accommodated us. We kept getting disturbed by servers going into the kitchen, the draft from the exit door, people going to the bathrooms every 10 minutes and the cleaning staff deciding to go into the bathrooms to clean at the end of the night. The rear table should have been a last resort and if you are ever seated there, I would not accept it. Food 3 out of 10. We ordered 2 orders of Mozzarella Sticks, onion rings and potato wedges. The mozzarella sticks were good, they were deep fried, battered but the inside was a little undercooked. The cheese wasn't melted all the way through. The onion rings were probably 50% scraps and 50% larger onion rings. They were cooked through but could've definitely been better. The potato wedges were decent, once again a little undercooked. We then ordered 2 large pizzas and 1 large margarita pizza. The were both NY style. The crust on all the pizza's was average. I would say that it is slightly firmer than dominos and I don't believe that it is hand tossed. I could be wrong, but It seems like it is pre-made crust and not made house made. My kids seemed to enjoy it, but they weren't overly impressed with it. My wife and I had the margarita pizza, and lets just say, this was a massive disappointment. My idea of a margarita pizza is tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella cheese, and basil. What we got, pre-made crust, rubbery cheese, sliced tomatoes, basil and some balsamic vinegar. It was not good, I would not recommend. Drinks 6 out of 10. My wife and I had a beer each, my kids had kiddie cocktails, root beers, and a milk. The kiddie cocktails didn't come with cherries, and the milk was maybe 3 ounces in a small sippy cup for my 8 year that he drank in 5 seconds. Service 5 out of 10. When we got to the restaurant it was somewhat busy, but by the time we left there was 1 table and 1 couple at the bar. We had to ask a few times for refills and the server was okay. It could have been better, it seemed that since we were in the back we were more of an afterthought. I was never asked if I wanted another beer and only once did the server come by after we got our food to see if were okay. Overall 3 out of 10. It was a disappointment for what I spent. I still tipped the server 20% because of my large family but the bill was close to $150. Next time I'll try somewhere else. read more

I went to this restaurant last night with a group of friends. Food was good, and they had good variety without having a giant menu. Honestly though, the highlight was the staff. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly, and took care of us promptly and accurately even though there were 6 of us coming and going over 2-3 hours. Other staff were also very kind and chatted with us throughout the evening. We accidentally stayed right up until close and the staff were very polite about it. The restaurant was pretty open - makes sense since it's a random Thursday night - so you shouldn't have trouble getting a table here on a weeknight. read more

Best. Pizza. Ever. Thin crust ordered "well done" was incredibly crispy and delicious!! Topped with the "sweet" sauce, pepperoni, jalapeños, and onion. This experienced pizza enthusiast has been eating pizza every Friday night for decades. (Yes, I've had Zaffiro's, Balisteri's, and Ned's.) The food is really good, but it was really crowded when we went. There's a table by the bathroom in the back which we were seated at and it was a little odd to have people passing our table to go to the bathroom. We made a reservation for 5 on a busy Friday night, we've never been inside the restaurant but have had the food through take out. First glance it's a strip mall, but once you're inside it's homey, warm, classic Italian place. I had Chicken Alfredo with crispy chicken, the Alfredo sauce was thick.. Like sick to the fork thick! Absolutely home made. None of that watered down bull mess from a jar, I have a toddler who likes Alfredo and the waitress made it known it would be no problem to have spaghetti with white sauce. My husband had a pizza, and will be eating from it for days. Our waitress Cassie was attentive and answered all the questions we had. She came back when we needed her even though she was very busy with other tables, she never let her stress show. I met the owner, Stan and gave him high compliments. Myself, mom, friend and two granddaughters visited Brama's Pizzeria on Wednesday evening, August 2nd. We ordered two pizzas and waited 40 minutes until the pizzas were served. We all expected a wait but did not expect burnt pizza crusts. These pizzas were burnt to the point of tasting horrible. I showed the waitress how burned the bottom of the crust was, she suggested we order another pizza. I asked her if the wait would be the same she said it would. I told her that we couldn't wait again and she just shrugged. She did send the manager over to our table. We were offered half off of the smaller pizza. I thought that very unfair and showed her that no one would eat pizzas that were so overcooked. She said that we were offered for the kitchen to remake the pizzas...so, no other concession would be make to us. No one really cared and we just ended up leaving. The restaurant may have another cook by now...I sure hope so. It was a very disappointing evening. read more

We were delighted to see a new restaurant in Germantown. It came with high recommendations from our friends and decided to give it a try. I had the thin crust pizza and it was perfect. My wife ordered the egg plant parmigiana and unfortunately it was nothing that we had ever had. Strips of deep fried egg plant on a bed of pasta. Was much less than expectation. Hence the 3 star rating. Staff was wonderful friendly atmosphere.....Will definitely go back but will avoid this entree. read more
