I continue to love That's Amoré. My mom and I went for a late lunch and early dinner last Sunday afternoon. I got my usual chicken Marsala and opted for veggies as the side. My mom got the beef short rib bolognese. I tried some of hers and it was delicious. As always, we enjoyed the breadsticks and salad. We ended our meal with a slice of carrot cake. The cake was moist. The frosting was amazing! As should be obvious from my previous reviews, I'll be back!

I decided to try this place while my sister, who loves it, was out of town. The unlimited breadsticks and salad are definitely fan favorites, and I can see why! The breadsticks were warm and freshly made, and the salad had an amazing dressing and tasted fresh. I also appreciated that they sell their own salad dressing, which was a nice touch. I tried the Ketel One martini, which was delicious, and overall, the service was good, though a bit slow on the lower level. We ordered the Crabby Chicken and the Chicken Parmigiana & Lasagna combination plate. The Crabby Chicken was okay, but could've used a bit more seasoning to bring out the flavor. Unfortunately, the Chicken Parmigiana and Lasagna weren't our favorites - the chicken was a bit dry and lacked flavor kind of tasted not that well done, though the marinara sauce was tasty. I'd come back to try other menu items, especially with the breadsticks and salad on the side. The hostess was also very welcoming and friendly, which made for a pleasant visit overall

A group of five of us went to That's Amore for lunch. One plus right away is that they agreed to give separate checks. if the waitress did not know an answer to someone's question, she willingly checked with the kitchen. I ordered eggplant spinach parmigiana, which turned out to be excellent. Before our entrees came they served the table an excellent fresh garden salad and breadsticks to share, which was a nice touch. We were served in a timely manner, except for one of our group who ordered lasagna whose entree came late. The waitress presented us each with our bills. It took her quite a while to run each of our credit cards, but we were not in a hurry. When our group arrived at 11:30 (with a reservation) there was no wait. When we left the place was full and people were waiting. The parking lot was packed, with good reason. The food was very good. I will definitely return.

Without a doubt when someone wants to meet for happy hour and appetizers this is 100% my go to place. You know the place where you always order the same thing and the consistency and service and price bring you back kinda place. That is without a doubt That's Amore! Calamari, shrimp Capri and eggplant roll-ups are the perfect trifecta. Start with a Manhattan and then then order the house wine. If you have room for dessert the tiramisu is the bomb!

This is decent Italian restaurant that I have been to a few times because I like the food and they have special offers for the customers like a $10 off coupon when you download the app. You get $10 off on your birthday good for 2 weeks before your birthday and 2 weeks after your birthday. I currently have a free bottle of wine on my next visit so the perks are pretty nice especially when perks are not the norm now of days.

Been here a few times before, but it has definitely has been a while. Came late on a Wednesday…read moreevening, around 8:30, and they close at 9:00. Plenty of tables when we got there, and were seated right away. It's a converted home (remodeled long ago), and there are multiple rooms for dining, which give it a more relaxed feel. The design/decor does look a bit dated. Our server got right to us. Got menu and ordered a couple of Sangrias. The Sangrias were red, refreshing, and a good amount. Given the lateness of the evening, we didn't get any appetizers, but I would have liked to try the Calamari (next time). We ended up with a small "special" pizza and the Lobster Ravioli. There were several choice for sauce of the ravioli and I chose butter garlic. While waiting for our entrees, we were served a basket of garlic bread. The bread was fresh, warm, and plenty of butter and garlic. A nice treat. The ravioli also came with a small house salad. Good, but nothing out of the ordinary. It didn't take too long for the entrees (we were the only customers), and they were hot, flavorful, and good portion sizes. Both were good, but if I had to be honest, not great. The pizza crust was thicker than we like. And the ravioli pasta was very good, but the filling was more like a paste with small pieces of lobster. Definitely could have benefitted by having more lobster. The service was very good, up to the point that we got our meals. After that, we never saw our waitress, until we were finished with our meal, and even then we had to ask someone to find them. Maybe they were busy cleaning up? Not sure. Overall, okay, but with some attention to some finer details could be so much better. Didn't end up on our "gotta get back to that place" list :(

I thought it looked charming, a hold-over from an era not that far in the past, but generally gone. I looked forward to dining there, but it took a recent invitation from new friends to get me through the door. The only reservation we could get was for 4:30. Hmmmmm...OK, I figured we'd be the sole patrons at that time of day, but I was wrong. And that tells you one thing you need to know: Tenuta's is popular, and rightly so. Despite being generally more adventurous in my choices, I ordered the pesto. I judge every Italian place by its bruschetta (on the menu but not ordered) and its pesto, and Tenuta's passed my personal test with flying colors. The most pleasing things about the dish were the very generous amounts of tasty sauce on the pasta, chicken, and zucchini. The least pleasing was the pale orange of the very underripe cherry tomatoes included. Companions had the nightly special (gnocci with bacon and a gorgonzola sauce) and the Calabrese, a tantalizingly spicy dish. Everything was perfect. Desserts ordered were the tiramisu (a large portion) and butterscotch boudino, a dreamy cup of butterscotch pudding, homemade butterscotch sauce, whipped cream, and a bit of sea salt. Service was quick, professional, and friendly. The restaurant is small, but cozy and welcoming.

The menu states a Chicago stuffed pizza and since I'm from Chicago I thought I would try it even though I'm a thin crust cracker fan tavern style pizza from Chicago. Most people people not from Chicago have this misconception that it's a thick crust and they are turned off and say it's pan pizza that has too much crust and I'm tired of correcting them. Yes it's cooked in a pan with a thin crust and high walls like a pie cooked upside down with the cheese and toppings on the bottom and topped with a thin crust or not but the pizza sauce/tomato purée on top. I ordered takeout with a friendly young woman and the restaurant was very nice as I walked around and probably the nicest in the area. My pizza was ready in about 30 minutes and it smelled amazing. I ordered a 12 in stuffed Chicago style pizza with sausage which could feed 4 regular people because it's packed with cheese and toppings/sauce like a pie vs a flat pizza. Halfway into two slices I was full with the meat sweats. The cheese pull was absolutely perfect just out of the oven. The sauce was tasty with a garlic flavor and not sweet which I prefer as an Italian American. The sausage was top quality with some zing. Overall as a chicogan who likes thin over stuffed pizza it was fuc%ing delicious. This is a really tasty pizza with quality ingredients so they hit this pizza out of the park today.

For the cost of the class, I would have thought I would have got a bit more. The other thing that disappointed me was the glasses are open to all ages of children. In my class, I was there with a middle school boy who somewhat took ownership of the class and wasn't behaving very appropriate for what I thought was an adult-only class. This was an event I purchased as an adult-friendly evening, I do wish this was stated when signing up for classes or at least offer adult-only or all ages classes. It just wasn't the vibe I was going for that evening and frankly was pretty annoying. Although, the owner did try to play down the boy's presence and kindly answer his questions, etc - I probably wouldn't take another class there unfortunately. Petra and Andy take such pride in their shop and it shows! We started wandering (and salivating over) their small but impressive selection of sauces, oils, salts, and Italian goodies. They have samples of most of their items, so definitely ask when you're in! The class started with Petra giving a brief overview of the general recipe and then we got our hands dirty almost immediately kneading the dough. The dough got to rest for a bit while we got to sip on some beautiful red wine and Petra taught us how to make a puttanesca sauce. When we went back to knead some more, Andy had magically cleaned the stations and set us up for the next round! On our next rest break, Petra finished assembling the puttanesca with some pasta she made earlier that day and we got a healthy serving of fresh pasta and puttanesca, followed by a sample of some of the most amazing Panettone I have ever had. The care that Petra and Andy put into their work is evident, and their commitment to supporting organic, high quality foods is remarkable. Looking forward to many more classes here!
