I was in the area with some personal business and I was done around 11am and it was a 9 degree day with plenty of wind so a nice warm bowl of soup sounded good so I jumped on yelp to see what's around and I saw soups in the pictures. The French baked onion soup pictures looked good so I drove over for some. The place has a nice bar as you walk in with nice tables and booths and generally nice looking and not cheesey over the top Italian decor. My server seated me promptly and brought me some menus which I looked over but I was getting the French onion soup on this cold day. My server seemed taken back when I ordered just the baked French onion soup with nothing else but that's all I wanted for lunch. My French baked onion soup took about 10 minutes and looked good so I took a small sip of the broth before I dug in and I thought it was average with no real depth but not salty. I mixed the soup up so I could get the crostini, provolone and gruyere cheeses mixed with the breaddy base and onions so I took a big spoon full and I was shocked that the soup was boiling hot and it completely burned my tongue and the roof of my mouth. I have never been served a soup that hot where my mouth was scorched and blister now I can't really taste normally so I don't know if it was good or not because it was all textures at this point. The cheese mixture was very cheesy and it had plenty of onions and in general I had all the ingredients to the last spoonful so it was not skimpy but I still didn't know how it really tasted. I wonder if my soup was intentionally made boiling hot because I went to this pricey nice restaurant and only ordered the soup and 5 hours later my mouth is not normal yet. If a cook/chef serves a customer boiling hot soup then they are incompetent and should find another line of work because a soup hot station doesn't keep soup that hot and a broiler to melt the cheese doesn't boil the liquid in the crock. I would not go back to this restaurant because something was just not right with my experience and I experience lots of restaurants to know when something is outrageously wrong and completely out of the norm for an established restaurant to let fly, super fail on this restaurant.

I've been here a few times and the experience has been amazing every single time. Mouth watering food, beautiful decor and ambiance, and the owner is super nice and you can tell he takes great pride in his restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes Italian cuisine. I love that it's a family owned and operated restaurant as well, it really adds to the experience.

I placed an order online for curbside pickup at 4:25 pm. A notification came back saying my food would be ready within 20-25 minutes. I hadn't dined here before so I had high hopes the food would not disappoint. I had a 20% discount code which enticed me to order more food. When I pulled up and called the number to let them know I had arrived, it took about 5 minutes before the owner came out with food in hand. He sent me on my way with a smile and seemed pleasant. Our experience was good, not great as some of the dishes did not seem to be very flavorful. The winning dish was as the spaghetti and meatballs. I was happy to have ordered an extra side of meatballs...thank goodness as my kids were fighting over who would get more. I will definitely return for them! However, the minestrone soup, fettuccine Alfredo, GF pasta with asparagus and chicken and the asparagus salad were just ok. I was disappointed that the salad didn't look very bright, not at all what I might typically expect at a restaurant. Again, I will return for the meatballs and may give the pizza a try next time. I really love supporting local businesses and hope to see more flavorful dishes in the future!

Came on a snowy Friday evening with a big group. The place was still packed despite the crazy weather and winter storm warning. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, the staff was decently friendly (just make sure you ask your server for stuff - I made the mistake of asking another server and she was unfriendly and told me I wasn't her server). Grilled asparagus salad - WOW presentation! This literally wowed everyone at the table. I walked to the other side of the table to get a picture. Though I didn't get a taste of it, my friend said it was pretty good. half duck over rice - wouldn't get it again. Duck had a strong smell that even the Peking ducks don't have. Disappointed. Rice was actually really good. clam chowder - salty, and mostly potatoes. homemade lasagna - great portion. Friend said she loved it. She looked happy with her leftovers for lunch tomorrow. So, most of my friends liked their food. Presentation was good and service was good. Just my food wasn't the greatest. I'll come back for some actual Italian fare and see how that goes.

Had a great bottle of Ruffino Classico Chianti and a wonderful Italian dinner. Lobster cannelloni and chicken parmigiana were fabulous. Rex is an owner, bartender and such a nice man!

Friendliest staff! The food was okay. I did enjoy the French onion soup. Garlic bread was not very good. The cheese and meat plate had a very good variety. The beef ravioli were average as is the sauce. Not a many beers to choose from. Both Chianti's I was served were great. I would go back for the wine.

When you arrive, there is a bar with a seating area. There is also another seating area with a separate bar, which is where we sat. What I noticed first is that there are TVs set up throughout the restaurant playing Moonstruck, the 1987 movie with Cher and Nicolas Cage. It runs continuously, and I think without sound. I didn't have a direct line of sight, but I did notice it a few times throughout the evening. It's a quirky thing, and I like it. The inside is dimly lit, but bright enough to read menus and make out all the essentials. The lighting on the bars is a rich red, and it really sets off those areas. The walls are adorned with photos of iconic Italian female movie stars like Sophia Loren. I liked the classic vibe. The place was very loud. We were seated right away and settled in with waters, drinks, and menus. Our server did a nice job walking us through the menu details. It's mostly specialty pizzas, with a few appetizers, salads, and a couple of entrees. For drinks, there were a couple of Santino Sangrias, which were unique in that they included gin, a nice touch. There was also a Paper Plane Martini, which was very good too. I mentioned before that it was loud, and it was especially loud with a large group behind us. It got much better when they cleared out. I noticed that they have sound absorbing materials on some of the walls, which probably helps, just not enough. For dinner, we started off with a couple of Caesar salads. They were a good portion and easily shared by two. The dressing was fresh and the right amount. It was a great start to the meal. I would have liked to try the calamari, but nobody else was interested, maybe next time. There were three pizzas at the table, Margherita, Paisan, and a make your own with cheese, sausage, mushroom, and onion. I decided to be different and tried the Gigante Meatball Plate. The pizzas are Neapolitan, with bubbly, charred edges. All of them had excellent presentation and flavor. Neapolitans are not known for their sturdy centers, so you have to hold on tight to keep everything from sliding off. As expected, the meatball was very large. It's served with penne pasta, which was okay, though I would have preferred spaghetti. The sauce and cheese had good flavor. A solid entree, though not amazing. We were celebrating a birthday, so we saved room for a few shared desserts. We tried the flourless cake, tiramisu, and the chocolate hazelnut gelato. They were all good choices, satisfying, but again, not amazing. Lots to like about this place. Nice atmosphere, great service (thanks Tommy), and an excellent selection of pizzas. Would come back again, and this time order one of the specialty pizzas (Da Vinci).

Yes it's cooked in a pan with a thin crust and high walls like a pie cooked upside down with the cheese and toppings on the bottom and topped with a thin crust or not but the pizza sauce/tomato purée on top. I ordered takeout with a friendly young woman and the restaurant was very nice as I walked around and probably the nicest in the area. My pizza was ready in about 30 minutes and it smelled amazing. I ordered a 12 in stuffed Chicago style pizza with sausage which could feed 4 regular people because it's packed with cheese and toppings/sauce like a pie vs a flat pizza. Halfway into two slices I was full with the meat sweats. The cheese pull was absolutely perfect just out of the oven. The sauce was tasty with a garlic flavor and not sweet which I prefer as an Italian American. The sausage was top quality with some zing. Overall as a chicogan who likes thin over stuffed pizza it was fuc%ing delicious. This is a really tasty pizza with quality ingredients so they hit this pizza out of the park today.

Plenty of tables when we got there, and were seated right away. It's a converted home (remodeled long ago), and there are multiple rooms for dining, which give it a more relaxed feel. The design/decor does look a bit dated. Our server got right to us. Got menu and ordered a couple of Sangrias. The Sangrias were red, refreshing, and a good amount. Given the lateness of the evening, we didn't get any appetizers, but I would have liked to try the Calamari (next time). We ended up with a small "special" pizza and the Lobster Ravioli. There were several choice for sauce of the ravioli and I chose butter garlic. While waiting for our entrees, we were served a basket of garlic bread. The bread was fresh, warm, and plenty of butter and garlic. A nice treat. The ravioli also came with a small house salad. Good, but nothing out of the ordinary. It didn't take too long for the entrees (we were the only customers), and they were hot, flavorful, and good portion sizes. Both were good, but if I had to be honest, not great. The pizza crust was thicker than we like. And the ravioli pasta was very good, but the filling was more like a paste with small pieces of lobster. Definitely could have benefitted by having more lobster. The service was very good, up to the point that we got our meals. After that, we never saw our waitress, until we were finished with our meal, and even then we had to ask someone to find them. Maybe they were busy cleaning up? Not sure. The artichoke dip appetizer was my favorite thing. We also ordered a pizza to share and, while it wasn't awful, it wasn't that good. It WAS perfectly cooked, but nothing had flavor. The crust was blah, the sausage tasted like nothing, the pepperoni was crispy and the jalapeno peppers were mild enough, but still the only thing I could taste on the pizza. A little salt would go a long way in the dough, and maybe switch to a seasoned sausage. Hopefully they can improve on the flavors and seasoning, because this really is a nice sit-down pizza place.
