    Chicken Parmigiana, Rigatoni alla Vodka
    Alicia S.

Husband and I decided to stop by and try some Italian food. We made reservations ahead of time, we got there the staff is very nice and welcoming. Our food was delicious I ordered the rigatoni allá vodka with chicken and it was delicious, a little spicy and buttery. My husband ordered chicken parmigiana and he said it was okay the spaghetti plate was small but the chicken parmigiana was a nice size. Overall we still liked the experience and we want to go back and try the pizza because it looks delicious

Such a fun night at Sorella! Awesome food, quick service, and a fun atmosphere. What's better?? My favorite bite of the night may have been the lasagna. It was a special tonight but they should have it on their menu all the time! It was delicious, with the perfect ratio of pasta, sauce, cheese and meat. A close second was the pizza. I love the wood fire crust and each bite had pepperoni with the perfect amount of hot honey. I'll be dreaming about that for awhile! The rigatoni alla vodka was good but the noodles were a little too al dente and I needed more sauce. But the taste was still delicious. I also had a bite of my moms lamb which was soo tender The biggest thing that stood out to us about Sorella is their pricing. Everything was so reasonably priced for being a high quality, nice restaurant in Bay View! All our meals were less than $30 each I believe. Lastly, don't skip out on dessert!!! Both the Tiramisu and Torta Cioccolato were to die for!

This is another place we like to visit and bring new people because you will never be treated poorly or have a bad meal!! We're always able to have a sensible conversation. The music is there but definitely in the background. If you like Italian food you'll love Sorella!!!

A Bay View Gem! If you haven't been to Sorella yet, you're missing out on some of the best Italian vibes in the city. It's that perfect mix of "neighborhood cozy" and "refined date night" that's hard to find. The Food: The Cavatelli with "Monday Sauce" is a absolute must--it's a rich, comforting ragu that tastes like it's been simmering for days. We also started with the Chicken Piccata Meatballs, which were surprisingly light and zesty. If you're into wood-fired crusts, their pizzas have that perfect char and chew. The Vibe: The atmosphere is lively and bustling (definitely make a reservation because it fills up fast even on weekdays). The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the staff really knows their wine list. Pro Tip: If the weather is nice, try to snag a spot in the outdoor tent/patio area. It's beautifully set up and adds a whole extra layer to the experience. Can't wait to come back and work my way through the rest of the pasta menu!

My boyfriend and I had an amazing dinner at Sorella for our 1.5 year anniversary! We started with the Burrata which was one of our highlights of the whole dinner! Super delicious and the chili crisp really works great! We shared the rigatoni alla vodka and a Carchofi pizza both were delicious and we loved the pasta especially with the sauce and slight chewiness of the pasta. We ended with the Tiramisu and loved the creaminess and decadence of it. Our server always kind, attentive, and very good to us all evening. This was my second time here and I will be back! Excited for warmer weather to enjoy the outside patio and next time may try to sit at the bar! The noise levels and ambiance were very normal and great for conversation and people watching.

This place was absolutely sooo delicious! I came here on a busy Friday night and was seated at the bar. Dimly lit and a very cozy feel. I tried an NA drink that was sooo delicious! Low in sugar and not too sweet, just perfect. I tried their brussel sprouts and sausage & mushroom pizza which were both sooo tasty and both wood fired, ugh I could have finished it all had I not had such a small stomach. Truly soooo sooo good. For a dessert I had their cannoli and it was delicious as well!! Crunchy outside and sweet inside, the drizzling on top a perfect touch to wrap it all up. Such a great dining experience, cant wait to come back!

Visited Sorella for the first time. Enjoyed everything about our dinner. Loved the selection of Italian and Sicilian wines, and ordered a bottle of Mastrobernadino Aglianico that paired well with our dinner. Started our meal sharing the kale Caesar and burrrsta, which was deliciously creamy and spread nicely over the focaccia. Our entrees were veal Marsala with crispy potatoes and cavatelli with Monday sauce. Both were wonderfully seasoned. Finishing the meal, we ordered the olive oil cake and chocolate budino. Again, perfect choices to end the meal. Our server was wonderful explaining the menu and offering her insight. As we left, we enjoyed a brief, yet enjoyable conversation with the general manager. We are already planning a return visit.

Had a lovely night at Sorella! It was my first time visiting in maybe two years (!?) so I was excited to return. The staff to start, were all so sweet. From the hostess to the server, and even the kind gal that brought the dishes out from the kitchen. Atmosphere here is very enjoyable - love the decor, high ceilings, indoor/outdoor seating options, and the open kitchen concept so you can look in at all of the chefs hard at work on their craft. If there is a burrata on the menu, you know I'm ordering it, so we started with that! It was creamy and delish, topped with a chili crisp of sorts and served with loads of prosciutto and house made bread that was so yummy I wish I could've taken a loaf of it home. On special that night was a cucumber salad and an octopus dish, so we figured why not go with those! I loved the salad - super refreshing and light. Octopus however, while good in theory, might just not be my jam. It was well cooked, well presented, and plated with other goodies, but I probably wouldn't order again - maybe its a texture thing in my head? All in all, a nice night at Sorella. I'd love to sit outside on their patio on the next visit!

I still love Sorella. I think it's two years since my last review and everything still holds up. My favorites, the beet salad, the chicken parmigiana and polenta, the pepperoni pizza and the cannoli. The cannoli has the fancy cherries on the end. From eating outside or inside, there isn't a bad spot. Looking forward to more dinners here.

I've been here multiple times and each time it reminds me of why I keep coming. Sorella's a vibrant restaurant which a large energy to it, especially during the weekend. I'd recommend reservations especially if you're coming with a larger group. This night I came in by myself and sat at the bar for a personal pizza. The bartender was awesome at recommending her favorite cocktails and bringing out food promptly. This is a really great place to come and try something new solo or bring a group of family and friends to dive in. Can't wait to be back!

We had a largish group with long table. Most everyone enjoyed their food. Pizzas were great. Pastas were on the dense/heavy side, but tasted good. Beet salad was great. Sea bass was not what we expected (usually Chilean sea bass)... it was more on the dry and tough side. Parmigiana was good. The kitchen is very accommodating with special dietary requests. Ambience is quaint and modern. Overall a nice space to gather. The outdoor space they offer looked great, with a cute little fireplace for cold nights. Service was attentive and prompt. Accurate, considering we had party of 14. The main downside is they do not split checks. So if you go with a group, it helps to know ahead of time that they will only allow one check for the entire party. That was kind of a bummer, as it was super hard for us to figure out the check situation at the end, so a couple of us ended up overpaying by a lot.

Cocktails amazing, we wish we had the bartender for our reservation rather than the server assigned to the bar top tables. Food was okay, service was okay. Our server was rushed and quick and didn't seem to care about our experience. For example, she said she'd grab extra water and we waited 20 minutes for that. Every interaction was awkward, at first I chalked it up to the holidays but as service went on it was clear she only was excited we were spending money. As a seasoned server I tried to give a lot of graces but overall in our first experience there, which we shared with her, we felt only appreciated for our money. We had the arancini, the special bruschetta (which crostini was too hard for me to bite through and upon success tasted stale), the ziti, and the lamb special. Out of all the food the arancini had the most flavor. I did love the creamy polenta with the lamb but the dish even upon first few bites wavered from warm to cold. We will come back to enjoy the bar and try some new items but other than that our expectations for a nice evening were not met and our server made me feel uncomfortable.

Sorella is a hot spot that is super busy, but you still get the feel that you are the most important guest dining in. Our server was knowledgeable, fast, kind and paid attention to detail. Our food was served quickly and hot. We ordered pizza, chicken and pasta and we cannot name one item we did not like. The place was dim which gave it the perfect vibe. The dining room is open with many tables and booths. There is a full bar and seating in that area as well. We were pleased that they were able to accommodate our group of 11 and we fit comfortably. In addition there is also outside seating that is heated for the cooler months. I'll add, the washrooms are impressive and I absolutely love the lighting. Most definitely a spot to check out if you're in the Milwaukee area!
