Ok hidden gem for sure but also not because like this place was packed! How is it that folks aren't talking about ZA in the Wauwatosa/Milwaukee area for weeknight bites/happy hour/pizza. First off Tuesdays = $10 martinis so gather your girls and spill some tea. Recommend a reservation because like I said even on a Tuesday it was a full house! Order the mozzarella bites and Brussel sprouts - you're welcome! The peach prosciutto pizza was good ask for a side of balsamic glaze so you can drizzle that on until your heart is content - you can thank me later!

Came for a girls dinner with some friends Ambiance was great, restaurant had a good vibe and was full, food was delicious - but our waitress was so odd it was hard to tell if she was joking or being serious. She made a comment about not wanting to serve our table because my friend was wearing a bears sweater and it could have been a funny joke but she then repeated it several times and made the entire situation really awkward. I would come back because it was the only downside to the evening. But was so bizarre and very off putting

I have been here twice in the last 2 weeks. I can with friends for cocktails and pizza- we each ordered a different one and had enough left to swap leftovers and take a bunch home! The burrata appetizer was good. The atmosphere at night is wonderful-- airy, buzzing with a good energy that you can tell people are enjoying themselves. The decor is modern and a touch European? Then I went with my husband for late lunch and cocktails. We split the meatball appetizer with the Vodka sauce and it was delicious as well as a pizza! We were big fans. The cocktails were also fantastic and refreshingly unique. Overall, I could see myself coming here for a lot of reasons. And Juan, my server both times was 5/5 as well. Highly recommend!

We had the best time at Za! My mom, sisters, and I went for a girls' dinner to celebrate my sister's engagement, and it was such a fun night. The atmosphere was lively and upbeat, and we were laughing the entire evening. The food was incredible. The beet salad was hands down one of the best salads I've ever had, and we shared the hot honey pizza, which was delicious. Pro tip: add some of the beet salad on top of the pizza. So good! Since it was Wine Wednesday, bottles over $40 were half off, so we shared a delicious Sauvignon Blanc. We also ordered two desserts, and they generously comped one to help celebrate my sister's engagement, which was such a thoughtful touch!! Our server, Ally, was absolutely wonderful. She was so sweet, attentive, and made our experience even better. We truly had an amazing time and can't recommend Za enough, especially on a Wine Wednesday!

Food was delicious, we had pizza and chicken parmigiana. Service was attentive and the restaurant vibe is relaxing. Great place to have a nice dinner.

After my first time visiting Za with friends, I knew I had to bring the family and it definitely won't be our last visit. We came in craving pasta but ended up ordering a mix of appetizers, pizza, and pasta. We started with the brussels sprouts and calamari, both of which were excellent. The kids had the Alfredo pasta, while we enjoyed pizza and lasagna, everything was delicious. The service was as fast and attentive. The only minor downside was the taste of the drinking water, but the mixed drinks were perfectly made and more than made up for it. The ambiance was nice and quiet, making it very family friendly!

This place is always good. Haven't had a bad thing on the menu. Bartenders and servers are always friendly. Place is usually full. Which is a good sign. One of my go to spots when in the area.

Really enjoyed our takeout experience, but would love to eat in sometime soon too. The service was good and it was super easy to place the order online. A cute spot and if you're in the mood for pizza or pasta, it's a great place to check out. Highly recommend reservations, as it was busy!

New-ish Italian restaurant in Elm Grove! Cute and dim lighting place with live music on some nights. Lots of table and bar seating, however it is incredibly loud inside. It was packed on a weeknight but it seemed many of the restaurant go-ers were friends of the singer. Would come back for the pasta, not for the pizza, and definitely not for the bread

Tried Za for the first time a few weeks ago. Super cute location. The wood-fired pizza was good and very nice to share a few different types amongst a table. The staff were very nice and attentive. Nice place for a casual date night or catching up with friends/family.

    Spicy rigatoni- Highly recommend!!

Omg entree was AMAZING! We got the spicy rigatoni & pepperoni pizza & tiramisu. The atmosphere was beautiful. Service was great. We will be back!

My Pastor had the chicken parmagon, my wife got the stuff shells. Those meals were good, we also order some stuffed mushrooms and calamari, those appetizers were very good. My meal was just ok. I ordered the ribeye steak and it was very mediocre. It cut and tasted like a glorified sirloin steak. It had a tone of connective tendons on the meat, it was not seasoned. Maggiano's needs to consider a better quality of steak. If I had anything to compare it to it would be the ribeye steak at Carrabba's, which is a whole lot better. The garlic potatoes were stiff and cold, the grilled asparagus were pretty good the highlight of this meal was the desserts, our Pastor got the butter cake, I got the cheese cake and my wife got the tiramisu, all 3 were really good. Take the steak off the menu, it's a waste of time.

I like that it's right next to the mall, so you can go shopping before or after your meal. I came for an early dinner on Friday, and luckily there was no wait. The tap water in restaurants in this area always tastes a little off, so I would recommend getting a different beverage. For pizza, I got the cupped pepperoni and sausage deep dish with the butter crust. Be patient while they make your pizza because the taste is worth it. The crust is golden and thick to hold all of the sauce and goodness. They are very generous with their toppings, which I love. The butter crust is the best part. It was perfectly cooked and crunchy. The service was okay. I think I got unlucky and didn't have the best server. I had to wait a while for my server to even come to take my order. When she came, she never acknowledge the wait. She simply said "Hi, what can I get you?" Meanwhile, the table next to me, who came after me, had a friendly server who came right away before my server and asked them how they were doing, etc. I will say, the restaurant's manager, came around halfway through our meal to check on us as well as other tables, so that was nice that he did that. Overall, I had a good experience here and will definitely come back. I saw a lot of people get carry out from here, so I will also consider that in the future!

I've had Lou Malnati's deep dish stuffed pizza in Chicago, and I wanted to try their thin crust,…read moresince Chicago claims ownership if thin crust pizza, too. I've only had thin crust from one place in Chicago, and I wasn't a fan. This one also didn't meet my expectations. The crust was very dense, while I prefer a light and airy crisp crust. The edges looked like it was baked in a shallow pan instead of on a sheet or a rack. The crust also had an orange hue to it, which must have come from the semolina flour they use in their dough. The sausage and pepperoni were average in flavor, likely from a large meat distributor, and the same applies to the cheese. The sauce, however, tasted fresh. It had a sweet tomato flavor, and was the star of my pizza. My server did a solid job. I'm assuming he had a few patio tables, because I didn't see him much in the nearly empty dining room. My table was really sticky, so they can do better with cleaning tables. It was a Sunday around 7:00, so maybe they have a lighter staff at that time. My pizza took 35 minutes to arrive, but there was a group of 10 people near me, so maybe not enough kitchen staff or oven space available to get a 10 inch pizza out in under 20 minutes, or maybe the thicker "thin crust" takes longer to bake. I'm still hoping to find a Chicago-style thin crust from a Chicago pizzeria that lives up to the hype that Chicagoans give it.

There is a small retail section in front for those who wish to purchase games, but there is a massive selection of games to use while you're there, we were told over 950 games! There is an adequately sized menu to cover standard gaming fare, as well as beverage options to cover most tastes and ingredient intolerances Our group ordered a sugar free vanilla latte, unsweetened ice tea, bottled water, and a pizza. The pizza is made in-house and is pretty good. A soft hand-tossed crust topped with a tasty sauce, and we added slightly spicy sausage and pepperoni. I would definitely order it again! The service was excellent despite being a busy with one person handling the guest check-ins, order taking, order delivery, and checking guests out. There is currently a $7 cover charge, which I will assume covers the use of the 950+ games, and is a bargain. You are allowed to bring in your own games, but I assume you can't bring in your own food or drink, but I didn't ask because why would I? We want to support a small business, so buying drinks and food is the least I can do, since they let us have access to all of their games. Overall, we had a great experience, and we will be back!
