Can't say enough great things about Caterina's - a staple for YEARS - I won't say how many because I'd age myself! I've had my staples which are usually the pan fried chicken or the shrimp/scallop garlic pasta with asparagus and tomato - absolute perfection. Recently, I tried the prime rib, available on Saturday nights, and have to say it is some of the finest in the area. Very old school supper club flavor, generous portions, and I highly recommend. The bread and cheese/sausage tray provided prior to dinner is delish. Reservations are recommended.

Met another couple for a mid evening dinner for 2 couples. The other couple is Italian and knows a few of the staff at this restaurant and it showed. The waitress appeared as soon as we were seated with an appetizer board of cheese, small cut meats and a bean salad along with a basket of warm crust bread, oil and butter and bowl of parmigiana cheese. Drinks were brought over by the bartender who served the drinks at the bar. Explanations of the nightly specials were delivered by the waitress and then orders were placed for our meals. The entire night was spectacular, with the delicious split pea with ham soup or salad presented prior to the main courses. The entrees were cooked perfectly and really well seasoned and delicious. The final topper was a lemon cello cake, shared by each couple and a great ending. Everyone needs to experience this restaurant.

This was our first time here and it was amazing! The inside of the restaurant is super cute and the food was so good. We got 2 different chicken dishes and they were both so good. We also got the mozzarella marinara and it basically melted in your mouth. The service was excellent as well, many people asked how our food was and if we needed anything. We will definitely be back!

Caterina's is an old school classic that never misses. Awesome pours from the bar. Stellar service across the board. The small touches of the anti-pasta tray to the warm bread and olive oil are both delicious and so appreciated. No matter what you're in the mood for it- it's going to be delicious. My husband had the Lasagna--it was a generous portion with outstanding layers of well balanced flavor. I had the Chicken Marsala. It was light and not too sweet. Perfect. Keep Caterina's on your classics list and go often.

I've been to Caterina's twice now, and I've had a great experience both times. The food is yummy and the service is good too. You never have to wait very long for your meal to arrive. One thing that is so cute and unique about this restaurant is the charcuterie board and the warm bread with olive oil that are delivered to your table as an appetizer. There is a great little assortment of meats and it pairs well with the cheese. The little garbanzo bean/chickpea salad is a nice touch. The bread is perfectly crusty and warm and it really soaks up the olive oil (which is seasoned well). This time around, I ordered the meat stuffed shells for an entrée and it was delicious. However, the menu said that the ground beef mixture had cheese in it, but you couldn't taste it at all. Some Parmesan on top would have been nice. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed it. If you're worried about getting a table, it doesn't hurt to call ahead. Also, the parking situation isn't great - the lot is pretty small. I'd totally recommend trying out Caterina's. I think it's totally underrated and worth the drive out there if you're not from the area and looking for a delicious meal.

I also had the opportunity to try the Agnolotti, filled with Maine lobster and house ricotta, finished with a peppercorn cream sauce and lemon oil. It was just as impressive. The hostess was lovely & our waitress was very professional but so sweet & personable (I believe her name was Kayla). It isn't a huge restaurant, being downtown, so it's a little cramped but I wouldn't call it a real issue. I highly suggest a reservation if it's after 5pm. Some outdoor seating as well. Lovely decor & wall art that adds to the Italian ambiance. Very clean establishment & easy access to well kept restrooms. Our bill was a bit high, but that was mostly because some of the cocktails were over $15 & the prices of those aren't shown on the menu -they sure were delicious but keep that in mind if you're trying to stay under $100 for two people. The food (& service) was totally worth the price though. Highly recommend coming in for a date night or even with the family! It's been on our list for a while, and this was our first time coming here…read more Food: Excellent! One of the best Italian meals we have had. We started with a couple of the signature cocktails. My Papa Gio's Old Fashioned was outstanding. The additional Cynar amaro is a stroke of genius. For starters, we ordered the Fried Eggplant (Melanzane Fritte), which was probably the best we have ever had. It arrived piping hot, and the breading was fried to perfection. The eggplant itself was mild, with no hint of bitterness. The accompanying marinara sauce was thick and flavorful. For entrées, we ordered Gio's Stuffed Filet and the Chicken Parmesan. The filet was cooked perfectly to medium-rare and was delicious. The Chicken Parmesan was a huge portion. There were literally three chicken breasts, each with well-seasoned breading and fried to a beautiful golden crispness. It was excellent. We had plenty of leftovers and enjoyed several more meals at home. (The eggplant reheats especially well in an air fryer.) Service: We had a 5:30 reservation and were seated right away. We let our server know that we had a performance to attend and were assured that we would be out with plenty of time to spare. For the vast majority of the evening, the service was great. Unfortunately, things changed toward the end of the meal. We literally could not find our server, and we suspect they may have also been handling a party upstairs. Since we needed to leave, we had the host help us get our bill paid. Feeling rushed at the end of the meal took a bit of the polish off an otherwise excellent experience. Atmosphere: The restaurant is small and has an authentic feel to it. The photos and décor make you feel as though you're dining in a typical European restaurant. The tables are close together, and it was a bit noisy at times. Overall, we had a very good experience. I can't say enough about the drinks and food. I just wish the service had been more consistent throughout the evening. We are looking forward to our next meal there.

We went to Il Cervo on a Sunday around noon, took the elevator up to nine, and entered a lobby with view-through larder showcasing hanging meats and fresh ingredients. Wine racks were displayed throughout the huge space. The space is expansive and during the day, quite bright. It is broken into several different seating areas and at least one lounge and one bar that I saw. You can also choose to sit on the balcony. It seemed remarkably empty of diners, but they could have been concentrated in other sections. Unfortunately we were seated directly next to a party of three who were very, very chatty, even though our dining area had no other occupied tables. We let our server know that we had a cruise deadline and needed to be paced accordingly and she acknowledged it and offered to bring our bill with our food. We ordered bloody Marys, which took a little bit to come out. They were good, with just enough spice, a tajiin rim, a couple olives and two pieces of cheese for garnish and sans the Sconnie beer chaser. My friend ordered the mushroom bianca pizza, hand-pulled mozzarella, fontina, black truffle ricotta, local mushrooms, roasted garlic, chives for $25. It came out and could easily have fed three or four. It was definitely more than a personal pizza. She enjoyed it and we both enjoyed the leftovers. Caveat - it was much better warm according to her. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese flatbread, without the bacon (bacon, scrambled egg, ricotta cheese, scallion). I could have added truffle for $15, but on an $18 dish, that seemed excessive. The crust was exceptional and unlike anything I've ever had. There was some sort of hot honey glaze, which I usually don't enjoy, but the balance on this was excellent. I'd order this again in a heartbeat. Unmentioned on the menu descriptions were the micro greens which added freshness and lightness to both dishes. Our timing was still really tight. We had to ask for our bill and to-go-containers. We made it out just in time. It took an age to run our cards, which we handed over with the bill unseen.
